Family Lakefront Cabin! Hot Tub, Arcades & Dock

We just finished our 3-day stay at the Wautoma lake cabin and it was wonderful! The house was clean, well kept, and provided basic necessities and kitchen utensils. The hot tub worked great, the fire pit was a good size, and it was super easy to grab firewood near the house. The kayaks were also in good condition and it was super easy getting them into the water and rowing around the lake. Very quiet and peaceful, both during the day and at night. There were a few bugs around and inside the property but nothing unexpected for a lake house like this. It was also very easy using the Roku TVs to watch movies and TV, and we were able to hook up a Nintendo Switch to play games. Can't say enough good things about our stay!

We had a glorious week at this cabin on Little Hills Lake in Wautoma. Daily paddle boating, kayaking, hot tubbing, evening camp fires and enjoying the lake views was everything we were hoping for. We also enjoyed the local restaurants and a quick drive to Waupaca to the Wheelhouse for pizza and Scoopers for ice cream! Thank you for many fond memories with family!

Property clean and well stocked with fun for the family! This is the second time we have rented from this property and I would recommend it. Great location on Hills lake which I grew up visiting as my family has a cottage on it. Hills lake is a scenic quieter lake that you can ski or tube. We rented a boat from Mark’s Marine in town for a few days. Our extended family of 6 people (teens and adults) enjoyed the large hot tub, fire pit and water activities as they had paddle boat, kayaks and a great dock to sit on. Nice beds and the teen kids enjoyed the nice sized lower level with hang out area, full bathroom, bedroom queen bed and TV they hooked up their XBox. We brought a queen sized air mattress for lower level living area for one teenager since our teens couldn’t use a bunk bed. Had nice time sitting around the fire pit in the evening. Close to Silvercryst and Moose Inn supper clubs and groceries or other needs. Steep steps going down to the water so just be aware with small kids or older adults but fine for us as we had neither along.

My friends and I were here for a girls weekend and we had a great time! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Hot tub was amazing, and the entire weekend was so relaxing! We’re already planning our next trip to this cabin!

We recently enjoyed a five-day stay with our best friends (4 adults, 4 children under the age of 4) and had an amazing time. The cabin itself was incredibly well-stocked for a family trip, including items for sleeping, play, and eating, so that we didn't have to drag the whole house with us. Hot tub was clean and in good condition and the "adventure shack" was fully stocked with toys, boats, and floats. And while we weren't sure how we would like a smaller lake....we LOVED this lake. The water was clean with a sandy bottom and few weeds. We were able to paddle boat and paddle board out to two peninsulas on the lake, which our kids loved exploring. It was also a great family arrangement for our families to be on separate floors with our own bathrooms for when everyone needed to recharge. Neighbors were friendly and kind to our kiddos. And the location was great! We did a day of bloating in Silver Lake and ate at some of the restaurants on the main street of Wautoma.....loved it so much that we are looking to come back to Wautoma next year. Thanks for the great stay!

Emily was very quick to respond with any questions we had. Grill worked but needs to be replaced. Overall it was perfect for what we were looking for.

We booked the cabin to spend a weekend as a family, just relaxing and enjoying each others' company. This cabin was the perfect setting for our getaway! It was a great space for us to all have our own rooms while having ample common space to be together. We did some cooking and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. The Adventure Shed was full of all types of equipment for outdoor fun, and we appreciated the stroller which we used for a walk along the lake. The hot tub felt fantastic, the adirondack chairs provided the perfect place to soak up the sun and view the lake, and we even managed to work a little on the deck (we had one glorious summer-like day during our March stay). The host, Emily, was easy to work with and provided great communication. We would enjoy coming back during the summer!

If you ever have small children you should definately come here. They had everything including a potty seat for toddlers. I had children that were a bit older. Our favorite parts were the fishing poles and gear in the shed, paddleboat and all the watercraft, water was clear for swimming and to see fish, and the outdoor eating areas on patio. The fishing was excellent. The rainy days did not stop our boys from fishing. The beautiful days were kayaking and island stops. The sand near the small islands is amazingly soft and water so clear. Lake very quiet. The only negative, which is not owners fault, was the stairs as my older father is a bit unsteady on that many stairs, however the lovely owner next door let my dad go up and down her stairs which were not as steep. Again to stress if you like to be on water it's a super place. All the kayaks, paddleboards, row boat and paddleboat were amazing fun. Also it is a pet friendly house so I'm sure anyone with a pet would love it. However if you have allergies remember it is pet friendly. It is very clean! Just to people that have allergies you can still detect the animal dandruff. Great Lake House!

We were so impressed by this little cabin on the lake! All amenities were available to us to enjoy and kept us busy the entire time! Hot tub was so wonderful at the end of a day on the lake. Our kids enjoyed jumping off the floating raft and kayaking and the paddle boat was a nice way to enjoy views of all around the lake! We had fires every night and event had a firework show off the lake over at a camp across the lake, so cool!!! Recommend visiting Silverlake down the road. We rented a pontoon boat and fished all day! We also went to dinner at Silvercryst supper club. Fish fry was delicious and they even have a little beach area form the kids and tiki bar for the adults. We left feeling refreshed and revitalized! Thank you Emily for being a great host!

We had a great stay at Little Hills Cabin. Cozy & quaint and the Adventure Shed had more than we expected! The lake is big enough for water skiing but small enough to paddle around the perimeter. Lots of stairs to climb to and from the shore, but well worth it. The view is amazing! Thanks for a great vacation :)

Online pictures look great but the reality is completely different. Bathrooms sink kept clogging from the moment we checked-in. There is a exahust/blower directly above the toilet seat which blows with hot air while you use the toilet. The kitchen sink also clogged many times and we somehow managed it. The water in the hotub was dirty and there was so much nasty foam that was created when jets were turned on so we decided not to use hot tub. Due to the sink-clogging issue, it was difficult for our family members to get ready & check out and the host weren't considerate enough to extend the check-out time by at least 1 & half hr. (I do have pictures of all these and would love to share if needed) All in all, definitely a bad experience.

Very nice place. Very clean and organized. Great communication. We stayed a couple nights while spending time with relatives across the bay for Thanksgiving and Christmas trees. Most of the time was not at the cabin and it was very cold outside but we could see where it would be great for families in the warmer months. My wife did enjoy the hot tub though even if it was only 9 degrees!

When I started the search for a vacation home I had a few things I was looking for. Family (young kid) friendly, Clean & well cared for, on the water with gear to use & a beautiful location. This spot checked all the boxes! It’s a beautiful location tucked in the middle of nowhere. The lake is gorgeous and clean, the kayaks, boats and paddle board were in good shape, safe and clean. The adventure shed had tons of stuff for my kids (6, 4 & 2) to do. Checking into the cabin was simple. It was very clean, smelled good & felt like home. There was a couple things my husband addressed while we were there. The back door was broken and could benefit from a replacement. My husband fixed the screen door, a dangerous carpet tack strip exposed and a nail sticking out in the basement area that caught my child’s food and cut it. Probably hard to catch those things if you’re not spending a lot of time there. We all slept great, the master king bed was a little firm and uncomfortable but it wasn’t too bad. All appliances were in good working order and cleaning supplies, baggies and coffee stuff was left to use. One loads worth of laundry detergent was left but we did 3 loads of laundry for the cabin (with our own detergent) and we did a few loads of our own. That was great to have as my children wore 2 swimsuits ans 3 outfits a day lol. We spent one day at the dells and highly recommend it! It was about 1.5 hr drive. I would not recommend eating at Silvercrys, I was under the impression it was fine dining and it was very expensive and very mediocre with terrible service. We did enjoy TEN20 and Cristinaos and Milty Wiltys. Cute downtown area with a few stores and big thrift stores. Check out Roche-a-cri park for some geological and historical interests and wild rose fish hatchery for a unique experience! We were sad to leave Wautoma. Thank you for a great cabin and stay!!

My family stayed at Little Hills Cabin for a weekend Christmas getaway. The owner was responsive to my questions before and after booking. The house has a lot going on, both inside and outside, for all seasons. We used the outdoor hot tub the most; the land around the house is gravel/sand so walking to/from the house for the hot tub required boots/shoes. Inside the house was stocked up with all of the supplies you’d need. I forgot salt/pepper and was relieved I didn’t have to make an emergency trip to a grocery store. Internet worked great. We had 5-6 devices streaming videos at one time and no one had issues with buffering. TVs have all of your streaming apps so you just have to log in. House and bedding were very clean. I personally loved the interior decor. Would book again!

We had an amazing experience staying at Little Hills Cabin!❤️ Everything was incredible! Super clean property, comfortable, quiet, and great amenities! The pictures don’t do it justice! We wish we would have stayed longer, and we are definitely hoping to go back in the future! All six guests and our golden retriever enjoyed it so much! Thanks so much for having us!

From check in to check out Emily the host was fabulous with communication. The place is super cute and very clean. We very much enjoyed our time at the little cabin on hill lake. Moose inn supper club was terrific. Pleasantly surprised able to get Door Dash from A&W was a nice treat, food came hot and delivered by the same dasher “Sunnie” Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommended

We stayed for a girls weekend! The property was very clean and welcoming! The host was very kind and responsive. The views are stunning - it really is gorgeous! Only two recommendations - the bunk beds and twin beds were very uncomfortable- the upstairs beds were awesome! There are neighbors - very close - so if you want secluded this isn’t for you. The neighbors never bothered us but Saturday one was power washing all day and being incredibly loud so it wasn’t as peaceful as we would have liked but otherwise great! Also so much to do kayaking bikes hiking hot tub or just relaxing!!!

Wonderful time. The space was wonderful to go with friends and kids. The two bedrooms upstairs off the main space and kitchen were open and had a great view of the lake. Then the kids bedroom in the basement had lots of beds, making it a ton of fun. And lots of activities, allowing them to feel at home. It also leant itself to a great getaway for parents having a little break upstairs and kids enjoying themselves downstairs. The shed was packed as well with outdoor activities.

This was the perfect little place for a family. The number of things the adventure shed offers is endless. We would love to be able to bring our kids back in the summer and enjoy all of the warm weather things this place has to offer. The owner was responsive and so very nice. We had everything we needed to have a great time. This place felt like a home away from home. Our host Emily made our first time experience very easy and enjoyable. Cabin was clean, area was dog friendly, and the scenery was beautiful.

We made the trip to Wautoma for my birthday with our friends - 7 people total with 3 kids ages 5, 4, and 3. The cabin was perfect for what we needed. It was fully equipped with kitchenware, pantry items, toys, games, movies, and books for the kids. The boys loved the arcade games and all the fun toys in the Adventure Shed. We didn’t realize that the cabin is in a little neighborhood-we assumed it was more secluded-but that’s my fault because I didn’t research that more. Nonetheless, it was completely fine and still absolutely Had beautiful views overlooking the lake. We brought a fishing boat and had no issues getting it in and out of the lake. The ramp was really close to the cabin to, So that was an added bonus. The lake water is so clear too! The boys loved fishing off the dock. The owners were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We accidentally left one of our kids blankets at home and had it overnighted-Emily was helpful with that process when she didn’t have to be! We’ve been discussing purchasing a lake home to rent out to others and honestly, we took lessons from Emily and her family this week because they’ve truly got it figured out! Would definitely come back to this cabin and highly recommend it to others!

Everyone loved this cabin! It’s on a cute little lake that’s perfect for kayaking. All my ladies want to go back again.
