The location is nice. A few miles from Newport, but away from the hub bub. The beach access is not for those with mobility issues, but doable and the beach is quiet and peaceful. The property is cute, but has a few maintenance and cleaning issues. The deck needs attention, the screen door on the patio slider is missing, an inside door was off the track (we fixed), the futon cover had a large stain and the worst was the mold along the shower. The towels in the bathroom and kitchen need replacing. One hand towel in the kitchen is not enough. We paid $600+ a night and didnt feel it was worth the price. I will emphasis, the view is terrific. and

clean place, a bit dated but thats what i like. excellent quiet location above a clean quiet empty beach...loved it. i do feel some better more sturdy patio furniture would really add to the experience.

Place is dated but was clean. Says ocean view but can’t see the ocean due to the large plant that sits in the middle if the yard and blocks most of the ocean view. Deck also unusable due to bird poop and nesting birds that constantly dived bombed you from the moment you step onthe deck until you return inside. Parking space too small for anything other than a very small compact car. Had to park in front of storage shed and maneuver to get out. This could be a nice little place if someone would do some basic maintenance. Won’t be coming back.

I enjoyed everything and the proximity to the ocean. I wish there was beach access on the property, a dishwasher, and laundry. These things would make it a perfect property. We enjoyed our stay.

The location and the view are amazing. The house is very clean and accurate as listed. Few suggestions: 1. A window in a bathroom is a must. As now, it is dark and not well ventilated. 2. The enclosed deck area is not useful. It likes a wind tunnel. The glass panels are not so cleaned and fogged up which obscures the ocean view. 3. The refrigerator needs replacement. It is leaking and very noisy.

The morning after arriving the unit was freezing. No heat in the bathroom - none. Management brought us two space heaters , one of which worked and helped with the bathroom. The wall board heaters take a long time to heat an old uninsulated house. This house would never pass inspections if built today. Sliding wooden doors to sleeping spaces are not Code compliant and dangerous in case ofL emergency. The "easy" beach access is anything but. The last way to the beach after the steep steps is by clambering over the large protective boulders reinforcing the jetty. The lack of a dishwasher is a real pain because the area for placement of the dish rack is so small. The loft access ladder- yes ladder - no stair is so steep and blocked by a roof support is dangerous and would never meet Code if presented today. Do not go barefooted outside on the rear deck because there are nail heads protruding from therdeck. Finally the bed and pillows were marginal. My wife says this unit is at best"glamping" and not worth the price.We left a day early

The beach access and arrangement of the house were great! They were very few people on the beach besides us. For food you have to drive into Newport but that was fine. Be warned that the driveway is a little scary to turn onto from the highway. The real thing that we missed was a washer/dryer... I understand why they don't want folks washing all of that sand into their drains, but I really wish I could have washed all that sand into their drains... Note that they're pet friendly but they do ask you to keep the pets off the couch, which is not something my pets are trained to do....

Property is very old and dated. Front door is bubbling with rust, nice beds and bedrooms small but cute, floor is sloping and uneven becarfule when you walk down the hall. Great views of the ocean but the deck is rotten and has broken boards, you can easily fall through the deck if you step wrong. Homeless people walk through the parking lot. the bathroom and shower remind me of a cheap hotel it works if you like your shower head at 4 ft 10 inches. back yard is trashed and junky. for the price per night find a better place to stay

Great little place with beach views. Provided great kitchen accessibility to cook lots of meals. Only negatives: broken bedframe made for a semi-uncomfortable sleep, no air conditioning so the afternoon/night got very warm during sunset and the one fan provided was broken, and a very large unsightly plant in the backyard blocking ocean views. I would recommend this place to others.

This property was very dated but very clean. Very small. Decorated nicely. The TV in the bedroom was not fully functioning and the hot water heater in one bedroom did have a sour odor that never really went away. Our host graciously moved us last minute due to the prior tenants smoking in the unit- but the smell still permeated our side of the duplex. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the unit so didn’t have to deal with it until bedtime. My mistake- but never confuse Oceanview with ocean access. There are no stairs or path to the beach at this property. All nearby pathways are private property. Host did let us check in early and was prompt in answering any questions :)

Fantastic view. If you want to watch the sunset into the ocean this is perfect. Nice deck ,big windows for a great view. Check in is difficult if you dont communicate before you get to the house. There is very little to no signal. So check communication before you leave Newport.Our host did get a text through with the instructions to get in.It is supposed to be smoke free but clearly a previous owner or guest smoked inside.Over all a lovely stay.

Clean, cute, quiet, bright, cheery. Comfy beds. Nice kitchen. Great view sadly obstructed by large plant (pampas grass or yucca). Chairs, couch and toilet were quite low for 77 YO knees. Shower is very small. Listing should clearly indicate there's no beach access as the property is situated on a steep bluff. Upward-jutting brick edging along river stone entry walk could be a tripping hazard for less agile guests. But in general, we enjoyed our stay.

Had a nice stay at this location. The beach access was great. Private, and quaint. Road noise was loud, and because its a dog friendly location it did have a bit of a dog smell to the house. Other than that, it was good. Was nice to be out of the town proper, but close enough to necessities.

Great property with decent privacy, aside from duplex unit on other side of fence. Great location away from hustle and bustle of Newport, and super close (1 minute drive!) to less busy Ona beach. Cozy house, beds not so much but otherwise great! Would come back 100%.

Perfect layout for the space of the home. Everything you would want to have for a beach trip. The views are spectacular. I can’t wait to bring my family again. Absolutely perfect for a family of 4. Kids absolutely loved sleeping in loft.

I would recommend this place to others.
Great little place with beach views. Provided great kitchen accessibility to cook lots of meals. Only negatives: broken bedframe made for a semi-uncomfortable sleep, no air conditioning so the afternoon/night got very warm during sunset and the one fan provided was broken, and a very large unsightly plant in the backyard blocking ocean views. I would recommend this place to others.

Trying to find this rental was difficult. But once we found it it was fabulous. A little bit of road noise in the morning but quiet in the evenings. Great deck and backyard! Wish there was a way to access the ocean below. All in all a very nice place to stay.

This property was very dated but very clean. Very small. Decorated nicely. The TV in the bedroom was not fully functioning and the hot water heater in one bedroom did have a sour odor that never really went away. Our host graciously moved us last minute due to the prior tenants smoking in the unit- but the smell still permeated our side of the duplex. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the unit so didn’t have to deal with it until bedtime. My mistake- but never confuse Oceanview with ocean access. There are no stairs or path to the beach at this property. All nearby pathways are private property. Host did let us check in early and was prompt in answering any questions :)

The cottage was immaculate, check-in easy, view amazing, decor minimalist but cozy, well equipped, bed and furniture comfy! My new happy place for future getaways!

The morning after arriving the unit was freezing. No heat in the bathroom - none. Management brought us two space heaters , one of which worked and helped with the bathroom. The wall board heaters take a long time to heat an old uninsulated house. This house would never pass inspections if built today. Sliding wooden doors to sleeping spaces are not Code compliant and dangerous in case ofL emergency. The "easy" beach access is anything but. The last way to the beach after the steep steps is by clambering over the large protective boulders reinforcing the jetty. The lack of a dishwasher is a real pain because the area for placement of the dish rack is so small. The loft access ladder- yes ladder - no stair is so steep and blocked by a roof support is dangerous and would never meet Code if presented today. Do not go barefooted outside on the rear deck because there are nail heads protruding from therdeck. Finally the bed and pillows were marginal. My wife says this unit is at best"glamping" and not worth the price.We left a day early

There is very little to no signal. So check communication before you leave Newport.Our host did get a text through with the instructions to get in.It is supposed to be smoke free but clearly a previous owner or guest smoked inside.Over all a lovely stay.

Great property with decent privacy, aside from duplex unit on other side of fence. Great location away from hustle and bustle of Newport, and super close (1 minute drive!) to less busy Ona beach. Cozy house, beds not so much but otherwise great! Would come back 100%.

The home was as advertised. It sits proper above the cliff/steep hill down to the water. The view as spectacular with easy access to the beach. We would rent this home again.

Nice small duplex with good kitchen ammenities. The view was beautiful and the access was easy from the highway. The embankment is unusable to get to the beacj, but its a very short drive to 2 beach access sites. Sliding door stuck a little. Would stay here again:)

Beautiful view..outside firepit..kitchen well stocked..relaxing!! Wish there was access to the beach...but the wind decided for us to just enjoy the view!!

The location of this rental was fantastic! Literally overlooking the ocean with private steps down to the beautiful long, beach. Many of the features of the home and info on site are outdated. While this was not much of an issue for us, others should be aware that the deck and grounds as well as the interior need some minor fixes and sprucing up. Do you want a no frills place to sleep while you enjoy the gorgeous surroundings? You found it!

Had a nice stay at this location. The beach access was great. Private, and quaint. Road noise was loud, and because its a dog friendly location it did have a bit of a dog smell to the house. Other than that, it was good. Was nice to be out of the town proper, but close enough to necessities.

This place is amazing. We have been on a 3 Week Rd. trip and we chose to be able to take a few days and stop and just relax. This place was amazing and just listening to the waves and the ability to just relax was such a gift. The sunsets were amazing. Every day is completely different and it is very private. We loved every single minute of staying at this space.

Such a great bungalow. Great trail about 200 yards down the road where we take our bikes onto the beach & ride. The deck is amazing & we spend tons of time enjoying the sunrise, sunset & moonrise while listening to the ocean. Clean & conveniently located to tons of activities. Love the new convenient texts tell you where to find live music or local markets taking place.
