Property was clean, horrible parking but otherwise great room and service for the price

Quite and free complementary parking

The parking lot and surrounding areas are unsafe at nights. Vandalism had been done on my car. I am very regretful about renting this place. They need a security gate to protect guests and vehicles.

Staff team members were great. Parking was tight.

Good service for the price. Wifi is weak and dropped offen. Parking place is small. Only one way for both entrance and exit. Interior is unique. Location is good, close to I-10 exit. Breakfast is not very good, but for this price, we should not complain.

The check in process was insulting. 10:30 pm, exhausted from a very long travel day and the front desk clerk couldn’t manage a smile. He then says, with every hotel in town booked up, “You cannot stay here if you live within 100 miles of the property. We only cater to travelers.” (That Should be stated on Expedia site in case you are a local.) They take a deposit for “incidentals”. The elevator doesn’t work which is not fun when staying on the 3rd floor with luggage. The room was clean and the a/c worked. The breakfast was standard coffee/cereal/toast bar. The gal who tended it was friendly and refilled the coffee pot as soon as she knew it was empty. The day crew at the front desk was pleasant upon check out. As long as your expectations are low, it’s an average place for a traveling layover. Just don’t expect a friendly check in and pack Light for the stairs!

We are visiting from Out of town. Staff is friendly . Site is clean. Showers are hot. Hot breakfast is delicious. Gym is nice has free weights yoga ball and exercise machine . Will def use again

Check in was ok but printer didn't work so couldn't sign their check in docs. Parking is crowded and small. Room was good size, bed comfortable and shower was great. Tv did not work at all which was annoying. No one available to check out and sign their form when we left at 530am so just left keys in their bowl. Location from I10 was good, may consider trying again.

Hotel staff came out and told our employees they could not stay because there was a trailer attached to the truck. They offered no parking alternative. There was nothing listed in the hotel write up about limited parking. I'll be requestion a refund.

The staff and room were excellent. The decor was very fun and lively. However, the parking situation, if you have a large vehicle or trailer, is horrible. I was towing a car on a dolly that you can’t back up due to the design of the dolly. I had it parked in the far back of the property crossing a few spaces. I was told that I needed to move it in a different spot so another U-Haul truck could park in the back as well. I was also given the option of parking in the lot next door (no security cameras or lights). I did not feel safe parking there with my daughters whole life in the vehicles. Got very frustrated with having to move the vehicle and just decided to leave. Do not stay there if you have a large vehicle or towing a trailer and want to park on the property.

Teresa at the front desk was welcoming and very helpful. The lobby, hallway and room were clean and had a cheerful atmosphere. The walls are neatly decorated with nostalgia like old vinyl records and hand painted art. This is a very good hotel and I would highly recommend it to travelers.

Our first room was filthy someone socks were in the bed. Stains on the sheets of both beds. The second room had WiFi issues bedding of one bed was stained . Rooms only cleaned upon your nightly request and we were there for five days without being informed of that.

The air conditioner wasn't working in the room. The room had a smell to it. One of the worst experiences I've ever had. Made me feel dirty.

The check in lady was super nice and chatty, the room was relatively clean, shower had some loose hairs on the walls and soaps containers which was a little off putting

The sheets and towels had stains. Bugs in the bathroom. My family complained but I’ve seen worse. The food at breakfast was ample. Easy location to get to. Plenty of parking. Not far from FSU campus. Staff was helpful. Fondue place across the street.

Old property that has had minor facelift but not quite updated. Bathroom needed repairs and carpet wasnt clean.

Clean, sufficient

So far my favorite place to stay in Tallahassee. I only have one complaint, needs a/c maintenance because the a/c leaks into the carpet and soaks the carpet.

This was a great find it was one of the nicest cleanest hotels. I’ve been at in Tallahassee. I really appreciate all the little touches. The room was excellent. The facilities were wonderful very clean very safe and a nice breakfast to start the day off.

It’s good in general except very loud noisy ice vending machine just below my room and the window seems to be lesser noise proof ! Staff were friendly.

Different style/vibe with decor than most typical hotels - I liked this most. There was a microwave and fridge, bathrooms were clean. What I didn't like - sound proofing seriously lacking as I could hear everything (footfalls, music from other rooms, etc). Continental breakfast worst than most, TV never worked properly (bring a tablet or laptop for viewing shows). Rooms were clean and staff were like everywhere else - competent.

The room had an awful musky smell & not very clean

I felt that the room and hotel were clean and had a lovely breakfast area. But the hotel did seem dated, though decorated with trendy/modern design. The toilet seat also didn't fit the toilet...kind of like putting a round seat on an oval. It was weird. AC was not great, so we were hot all night, and super rude people across the hall were in and out every 5-10 minutes until 1 am, slamming their door. Not the hotel's fault, but awful. Receptionist was very nice and apologized that the elevator was down, which meant a hike up to the 3rd floor (and down in the morning) with all our stuff. Would have left some things in the car but we were worried about the area. I'd only recommend if you have low expectations and just for a night's rest.

WiFi was very slow. Almost unusable. Lights in room flickered occasionally. I was going to mention it to the desk clerk upon checkout but no one there. I waited for a minute or two, left my room key card in the bowl and left.

Fun atmosphere, room on the small end but with very thoughtful furniture touches. We were a little worried about noise, coming in with how many people were around and talking loudly as we arrived around 10pm, but a combination of decent walls and the AC making more regular noise meant a pretty good night. Beds were very comfy. The ADA room shower was a little tricky but worked just fine once we learned the secret (pull the dial/handle out from the wall towards you after turning) no hairdryer but if I'd needed one I suspect I could have requested it. Only pure downside was the mini fridge was not functional, which we only realized the next morning. Guessing that's not all the time or all the rooms though!

They charged me $5 for a wash cloth I used to take my make up off Not a good value for the money at all

We had a great stay here. The only issue I had was when I asked the gentleman at the front desk for additional bath towels. We had 4 people in our room but only 3 bath towels. I asked for fresh ones and was given 3 even after I explained we were short and also needed fresh ones for the day. He stated that the room would’ve had 4, despite me explaining twice that we didn’t. He said housekeeping would retrieve the dirty ones in exchange for the clean and I said ok but we’re still short. I conceded and just waited until someone else was working that night. Request granted. For the money and location, it was perfect. Beds were clean and comfy, bathroom stocked and clean, fridge and microwave worked. Overall friendly staff. Quiet stay. Would book again.

Front desk staff were welcoming and accommodating. You can tell this was an old hotel that underwent renovation but the updates do a good job of making the space feel new. The rooms felt a bit stuffy but that is what I typically encounter in hotel rooms with window AC.

Although front desk clerk was extremely friendly and apologetic, the check-in process was ridiculously slow, to the point of being comical. I had the sense that this was technology driven vs. human operator error. Got stuck behind a couple other parties checking in and must have waited 20 minutes. There has to be a better way to get people checked in quickly!!! Everything else was great.

I was denied a room because I didn't live 100 miles or more from the hotel, which was never disclosed, and am now having a hassle getting my refund.

Stayed there 4 nights. The last morning I was there the coffee was very weak. Like dishwater. When I asked for a proper cup of coffee all they did was make excuses and argue with me. They were very rude and disrespectful. When I asked to speak to the manager they said she wasn’t available but other employees told me she was on property and was available.

First time in all my time in staying at hotels that I had a specific $25 hold on my account which is unacceptable. I've given a credit card every time but this is the first time I've actually had an amount held which can take up to 10 days to clear which is not acceptable.

Safe and clean. Located in a convenient area with shopping and restaurants.

The hotel was well kept. The rooms were clean, and the vibe is a little funky. The neighborhood is a touch sketchy, but all in all a good stay.

Location was excellent. Veteran parking spot was perfect.

It may sound trite but I appreciate the fact that everything simply worked. The sink and toilet drained properly, the shower head was great, the A/C was effective, the lights all worked, there were working USB ports at the bedside, a new, large flat screen TV, refrigerator worked well, the beds were comfortable, there was very nice breakfast included with fresh fruits, juices, cereal, etc. The artwork around the hotel was low price but interesting, different, unique. Painted directly on the walls but in a tasteful manner. The overall location was pretty good from a tourist’s perspective. It was a short distance to the Automobile Museum and Maclay State Park, and less than an hour from Shell Point Beach in Crawfordville. Overall, it was a fair value for a fair price. As for the cons, it’s on a busy stretch of road and entering and exiting the lot can be challenging based on the traffic. There’s nothing to do within walking distance and the property next door (an old Chinese Super Buffet) looks like it’s been closed a long time and is very run down from the looks of it. The hallway carpets should be torn up and replaced with something “cleaner”, even if it was a sound dampened composite material. There were stains and it had a musty smell which really can’t be healthy in the long term, especially for staff. The gym was extremely basic, very small but the equipment all worked well.

Everything was great for our quick one night stay on our way to Orlando. Comfortable, neat looking, clean and breakfast was good. Easy location off the 10.

Great location

An overnight stay on my way south to Florida. This hotel is convenient, clean, recently renovated and in walking distance to shopping and dining options. The staff was friendly, professional and accommodating.

We stayed for one night while visiting the capital. The hotel was only about 15 minutes away. It's a clean, nononsense hotel. We were on the first floor. The person closest to the window had a difficult time sleeping due to the sound of the cars passing by. Maybe would have been better on a higher floor. Breakfast was decent. I would do another short stay, if necessary.

Nice change from other hotels in price range. Was somewhat noisy during early part of night with running in halls and room above our room. Morning breakfast was rather sparse. No coffee for most of first hour of breakfast. Would try them again. Noise could be only continued problem.

The AC/Heat unit was incredibly loud. The morning person in charge of breakfast put out rotten bananas. The coffee was cold. After he made a 'new' batch, it was nothing but brown water. Terrible/cheap breakfast that included the fruit cocktail from a can. It was supposed to be a handicap room but the shower was less than user friendly.

The front desk clerks were very friendly and the breakfast was good. It will be good though to have warm eggs or a microwave for someone who does not like cold eggs. I can see myself staying at that hotel again.

Everything was perfect except the eggs and sausage was barely warm. I read that in a review before we made reservations and thought it would have been corrected. Everything was nice except that. I would still recommend and stay again. Bob N

Front desk reception person was very friendly when we checked in about 7:30 PM on March 2nd. Breakfast was just OK. Eggs and some type of sausage, bagels and bread to toast, some mini-donuts and cupcakes, a bit of fruit, oatmeal with toppings, and cold cereals. Nothing that was real tasty, but you could make your own waffle :-) Queen sized beds were comfortable. The sink in our bathroom was very slow to drain. I informed the front desk staff upon checkout.

Hotel was so cute. We enjoyed the quirkiness of the decorations. Breakfast was good with nice options. I only wish there was dairy free creamer available for the coffee. My only complaint about the hotel was our hallway on the 3rd floor smelled very very strongly of Marijuana. Thankfully it didn't get into our room. And the cheese they had in the lobby to purchase was expired from April of this year.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and it was close to several restaurants. They had a nice continental breakfast too. It was quite although we could here some traffic at times. Nothing that kept us up.
