It is much better than it used to be since it changed owners. It's now clean everything sanitary. They're doing a lot of upgrades .Good value for the money. Excellent!

The patio is super nice. Motel is Close to the beach. Staff is friendly. But cleanliness is a problem. Quite surprised that such places can remain in operation in 2023 in the USA

Room was better than it was, new floor and clean. Kitchenette no pots, no pan , no kitchen utensils, oven doesn't work. The staff or receptionist was nice but that was her last day because she's moving to other state to join her family. For the price, it's practical and feet away from the coast.

It is walking distance to the beach. We only needed a place to sleep and shower, so it was clean and the a/c definitely works!! They have a water hose outside on the end of the building that is helpful with getting the sand off before you go in anywhere!! That was a plus. I will go back.

This is located really close to the beach which is great because I’m disabled. Walking to the beach was fairly easy. This place is being remodeled so keep in mind that it’s got a way to go. The rooms are small and my family of 4 were tripping over each other. However, it was enjoyable and I will be going back as the staff is very friendly and helpful.

This is a great hotel for the price. Clean and great access to the beach. It is still under renovation and guests need to keep that in mind. I went with 1 bed since there was just 2 of us. It was a small double bed and kind of wished i would have gotten 2 beds. Overall it wasa great stay and we will book with them again!

The management team were very friendly and nice. The motel was nice and clean the a/c didn’t cool good but the manager is is in the process of replacing them with new ones. They don’t offer ice but they do have an outdoor shower so you can rinse off from the beach which is in walking distance from the motel. There’s a picnic area and a pet relief area. Other than minor issues it was nice and I would stay there again.

This is an older property that is loved by so many. The price is right, the rooms are clean, the staff is exceptional. Great customer service. We love the outdoor seating area, and being able to walk to the beach. There is a small store next door with a huge collection of exactly what you need! This retro motel is a blast! And pet friendly! Thanks for having our family as guests again and again! We love yall!

Roaches alive and dead smashed on wall towels just over side of bathtub floors nasty pulled covers back sheets stained and not changed pulled sheets off corner of bed mattress ripped up and nasty really unimpressed have stayed in some bad places before but don’t think ever even seen one this bad Got there late so key was under mat played on top of mattress for 2 hours left left key under Mat was not open when we got there or left didn’t even go back for second night would like someone to contact us about a refund or credit towards later stay some where decent

I hate to leave bad reviews but I cannot recommend this hotel. The few towels that were there all had bad stains on them. Same with the sheets. The blankets were filthy and looked like they had never been washed. The toilet seat had feces on it, the towel bar was broken and hanging down and they did not even provide toilet paper. I would have left but was too tired. I had a sheet in the car so I put it on top of the bed and slept on it. I would not chance sleeping in between the sheets. Will never go back.

The lady that checked us in was very friendly. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The floors were sandy,the toliet had not been flushed. When about to brush our teeth we realized that there was still toothpaste on the faucet. I am beging to think the room wasn't even cleaned.This place needs a major overhaul.

Worker who checked us in was pretty nice but when we went into our room is was just disgusting. It smelled horrible, there was pee in the toilet. The entire room was just gross and there was black mold on the AC window unit. We didn't even want to sit on the beds. It was terrible. We decided we were not going to stay there, there was no way. My boyfriend went to see about getting a refund and the man who was at the desk completely shut him down and said no. Did not offer any type of help or apologies for how nasty the room was. Said he couldn't do anything because we booked through Expedia. So we left extremely frustrated and without a place to stay. We contacted Expedia and they said they had to get in contact with the hotel and it was ultimately up to them. Well they ended up denying our refund of course. Not sure why expedia couldn't help us more and refund us themselves. Disappointed is an understatement. Expedia has always been great. Not sure if I will continue to use them after this.

Staff was nice and friendly but the water smelled TERRIBLE 😞 couldn't even take a decent shower the whole stay I will not be back it was not worth the money they didn't have spacious rooms the blankets were old didn't even get under the covers it was nice to be by the beach but it was not just the smell of the water was too much.

Cheapest room on the beach. Beautiful ocean view. Short walk to the beach. The property itself is a bit run down and neglected, but the AMAZING housekeeping staff keeps it very clean and is attentive to making guests comfortable.

Booked on hotels .com arrived checked it horrific sewer smell coming from water in the shower and sink management unable to refund my money and the owner would not even talk to me complete waste of money have stayed here many times before but never again a quick trip to the beach ended up costing over $300 had to find suitable accommodation ant another hotel

They don’t change bedsheets, looks dirty.

I could not get anyone to return my call so I could get my key deposit back when I checked out dropped key in slot in door , 24 hours later still no call back. As well as there is a bad leak in room 13 …I wanted to discuss to see if I could get a discount or at least tell them about the leak. I’m sure they received that msg but no one has called me, I have left several msgs no one answers or calls back. Nasty place , roaches, dirty , leaky ceiling , water smells like eggs and sewer, dirty walls , hair in shower , room smells. Embarrassed I stayed to save 200 dollars but I would not have been refunded or at very least had the courtesy of a call back.

The shower and tub was very stained and looked very dirty. The bed platform was raw wood. The staff including Sarah was very helpful in spite of the age and ruin of the property. Looks to be over 50 years old.Refrigerator had to be replaced as the initial one didn't work. No safety chain on the door.

Was decently clean for sandy beachfront. Could use the fineries, trim here and there, better curtains. Great acess to beach waking. Good proximity to restraunts/stores. Didn't appreciate the neighbors hanging just out thier door to smoke going right into our ac.

Property needs work, door was damage and also didn’t close. Very run down you really get what you pay for . We stayed one night passing through so we sucked it up. But we left thankfully for having good jobs that we normally stay in high end hotels and we were limited in last minute stay . Staff manager was very nice and attentive in check in .

The view of the gulf is minimal at best. The place is run down. One of the beds did not have the fitted sheets on it, just a top sheet and bed spread.

Close to beach. But the water in the room stunk so bad we couldn’t shower or use the water for anything at all. Had to bring our own coffee pot. People above us were extremely loud. Sounded like a heard of elephants running on top of us early and late. Others would sit outside our window and party all night. I got charged for a room with a dinette on bottom floor but was put into a standard room and no refund on the difference.

I am just reviewing the first part of our stay which has been a month, but it has been excellent! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and Rebecca baked my daughter a wonderful huge birthday cookie and they sang happy birthday to her which has never happened anywhere that we’ve stayed before. We are going to be Staying here for the duration of the winter and are very happy to do so.

The lady at the front desk was so sweet and kind. I asked her where the nearest shop to buy my son a boogie board was and she gave him one of her own. She saved this Mom time so I got to spend more time with my family instead of shopping. It was less than a one minute walk to the beach. The beds were clean and decently comfortable, we will definitely be back.

Reserved 2 rooms with 2 beds for 2 nights, 2 weeks in advance. 1 week before I received 2 phone calls asking if I could just come for 1 night or make the trip the next weekend. The vacation was planned in memorial of my father who just passed for Fathers day with a car full of 7. I let them know it's not possible and they said okay they would call others. 5 hours before arriving -10 hours into our drive to get there- and left them know what time we would be arriving. They said that's okay, that's just fine to come on. When we arrived they told us they had sold out but still had 1 room, with 1 bed and 2 chairs that I could have (with 7). I told them that's impossible so they proceeded to show me to their apartment imbehind the check out counter that had camera screens set up and was filthy. They offered us their bedroom for our stay, the gesture was way kind but the mattress had blood stains and filth. Everyone on the property seemed to blame the owners that doesn't live anywhere. We were thankful to find another motel, just not on the beach. This place is not recommended for a relaxing vacation. I recommend this place be closed down till they can clean it up. It was so ran down and disgusting. There was furniture outside on the ground, just looked like something from a cheap bad movie.

The property manager, Jamie was very sweet and accommodating. Apparently housekeeping had missed most of cleanup in our room. Jamie had somebody come in as soon as we let her know and the job was taken care of. She was very apologetic but took care of the problem.

The property is close to the Gulf of Mexico.

It's a modest place, but it has everything you need to have a good stay, the price per night is very affordable, and the location is very convenient, just a few steps from the beach.
