Overall, we would come back and stay here. It's dated and the property was a bit musty. There were cobwebs in the lamp shade. It was clean, but more of a quick clean. It served our purpose. Breakfast was good and the location was good. Bed was comfortable. The TV situation was odd.

While the staff and the cleanliness of the room were excellent, we were very disappointed in the room and the lodge as a whole. Small rooms, no mini-fridge or microwave (although the in-room coffee was surprisingly good.) Outdated electrical in the bathroom forced you to run a loud fan everytime you turned on the light. Overall the facility really needs a face-lift. I was expecting some of the charm from state lodges like those in Indiana but this was a real disappointment. The wonderful staff helped to make up for it, in part. Won't stay there again, though.

Wonderful from check in to check out. Staff went above and beyond from the gentleman at check in (can't remember his name) to Candi at check out. Dakota and maintenance team were great with a problem I had--storms kept knocking tv/wi-fi out. Restaurant staff was friendly and fast, complimentary breakfast was excellent. I can't say enough great things about the weekend. I would definitely recommend Kenlake Resort and the cabins. Well worth the money, and much better value than a traditional motel/hotel stay. Thank you all Kenlake staff!!

We usually love staying in the Kentucky state resorts that we’ve been to so far, but this one is unfortunately in need of some major improvements. I was a little surprised to see how outdated everything was when we walked into the lobby but we still hoped for the best. We first went to checkout the game room which was also extremely outdated and half of the games were marked out of order. We then go to our room which does appear to have been remodeled in comparison to the rest of the resort but we were a little disappointed in the lack of light, stiff mattresses, and the view of the parking lot instead of the lake. The worst part of the experience was finding a used blood glucose strip in one of our “clean” bath towels… definitely an unsettling feeling. There was also a pile of dead lady bugs behind the table in our room so it doesn’t seem like things were cleaned thoroughly. The only thing we did enjoy was the pool, it was nice and warm so possibly heated and had a good view of the lake. I hope they see some new improvements soon but we unfortunately will not be back to this one.
