The only reason I didn’t give this hotel a 5 star review was because the television in my room wasn’t connecting, and since maintenance wasn’t available, I had to move to a smaller, queen room (my original room was larger and a king). It wasn’t huge but inconvenient. The elevators were also extremely slow for a smaller hotel. However, the hotel was beautiful and the location was excellent. The room had small touches that were great such as ceiling fans, reading lamps, and a little ledge on both sides of the bed (side of bed furthest from the nightstand) to place small items such as a cup or glasses. The hotel overlooked the marina which had a beautiful view and you could walk to many restaurants in the downtown area. I was in town for the Neuse River Bridge Run which is why I chose those hotel. The start and stop were only a couple minutes from the hotel by foot. Parking was also plentiful and easy to find. If I stay in New Bern again, I’ll definitely return to this hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff. For the first time we took our 8 month old puppy. Zero dog-smell in the room. The surrounding area is beautiful with boats and plenty of sidewalks. Close to park where two rivers meet. Downtown has nice shops, friendly people, and beautiful buildings. The history of New Bern is interesting as well.

The staff was exceptional. All three of the representatives at the front desk were knowledgeable about the room ammemnities. They were also enthusiastic about their work and displayeda pleasant demeanor over our 3 day stay. Restaurants were in walking distance and shops are within 1 block of the hotel. We stayed on the riverfront.and tne view is breathtaking. The only thing that may need changing is the pool is next door at the Doubletree Hilton. The hotels are sister hotels so we were able to walk over to the pool Parking is very convenient for the hotel,. There is not a charge for parking. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The television does need more stations. Overall, this is am excellent hotels for.an adult relaxing getaway.

Beautiful clean rooms and lobby. Well positioned on the river / riverwalk with excellent views of the boats and July 4th fireworks steps away. Very nicely decorated room and bath (above average for sure). Comfortable beds and quiet. We did not take advantage of the restaurant on site. For families, I'd say it's not the greatest; no pool in the middle of summer in NC is a big downside. There's note really a lot of room in the lobby or common areas to hang out. If you want a very well appointed room that's quite without standard vacationers (didn't see a lot of families or little kids, maybe because of the higher standard room rate), this is the place to go.

Beautiful clean rooms and lobby. Well positioned on the river / riverwalk with excellent views of the boats and July 4th fireworks steps away. Very nicely decorated room and bath (above average for sure). Comfortable beds and quiet. We did not take advantage of the restaurant on site. For families, I'd say it's not the greatest; no pool in the middle of summer in NC is a big downside. There's note really a lot of room in the lobby or common areas to hang out. If you want a very well appointed room that's quite without standard vacationers (didn't see a lot of families or little kids, maybe because of the higher standard room rate), this is the place to go.

Overall, great location and beautiful accommodations. We did experience an issue with the balcony door lock which was broken. Secondary lock mechanism difficult and jammed which kept us from accessing the balcony easily. Body wash in shower was empty when we first arrived, felt housekeeping should have refilled prior to next arrival. I would stay here again though. Great views!

Loved the convenient parking and the room was exactly as advertised and very clean. Only thing I didn’t love is the layout of the building/windows for my particular room because I had a room to the left of me whose window looked directly into mine and the room to the right had an extended patio/balcony that gave them direct access to seeing into my room.. not a fan of that since you have these great views of the water but feel weird leaving curtains open and anyone can look right in.
