Motel 6 Indianapolis IN

2 armed guards in the lobby, offered drugs by someone digging in the garbage when we walked in, so nervous our car would be broken into that we moved it so we could see it outside of our room, no smoking room but burn holes in the blanket, smelled terrible, walls, doors, vanity needed a serious wipe down, towels feel like the towels they have for you to use at the pool. Walls are paper thin so you hear everything and I’m pretty sure most of the people there actually live there. No blow dryer, even though it says there is one.

Hotel is in bad need of updates. Property is not in the greatest part of town. outside of property makes the building almost look abandoned. Windows didn't lock, safety lock on the door was almost completely ripped out of door frame, Bathroom door was a basic hollow core door that was filthy and broken. Only stayed for 1 night if needed to stay in town a second night I would have looked for another hotel. The staff was friendly, however I feel like the Motel has more weekly/monthly rentals than people passing through. Would not recommend.

Within moments of arriving at the property I knew it was terrible. There were shady people doing what I can only assume were drug deals on the parking lot. Our room was very sparce and smelled like smoke even though the staff told me twice not to smoke in the room. The door did not have a lock. All night I was woken up by people getting ice. There were bugs in the room and the bathroom was broken and dirty. Horrible place. Do not stay here.

I am writing this review out of utter frustration. I usually ignore the shortcomings of hotels where I stay, but this was ridiculous. To begin with my car tires got slashed overnight. I had to reach somewhere and I ended up changing the tire in heavy rain. The pictures posted on this motel listings are absolutely deceiving. The motel is worn out and run down, and the pictures have been intentionally modified. They do not represent this motel at all. The walls are thin as paper. It was 6 AM and I could hear people's alarms going off, people getting ice from the ice machine, people yelling and fighting outside, people chatting disrespectfully in the hallway, people slamming the doors, my upstairs room had some kids that were just running for past 5 or so hours. Some baby was wailing for three or so hours. The fridge in my room had issues with its thermostat to where every time it changed its settings, there was a huge clack sound, which literally startled me and woke me up quite a few times. The room's cleanliness was so questionable. I was super disgusted that I allowed myself to stay there. The hotels in Indianapolis are so expensive. I was attending a convention and had to be there early and I was frustrated that I could not sleep properly. I had a severe headache and they didn't even have coffee anywhere. I did not wish to step outside the motel because the kind of people I saw in the parking did not make me feel comfortable. This motel is like a mini nightmare.

Beds were so hard it was unbelievable. Dryer was broken it smelled like cigarette smoke throughout the whole facility. I asked for more blankets and towels and they at first refused to give them to me because laundry was closed and when i told them i know you have access to the laundry then he gave them to me but told me to bring my other towels and blankets to him....what i needed more why would i bring the others????? People doing drugs in the lobby sitting around very unsafe. I had children with me as well asking me what those people were doing. AWFUL experience!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a great stay. Although no elevator, or breakfast, these could have made the stay that much better.

The bathroom vent was either nonexistent or not working. Some of the clean towels looked old and stained. Bathtub is slippery and should have some anti-slip material added to aid grip.

The area to park near the motel is littered with abandoned vehicles, we immediately felt uncomfortable leaving our car there. Once we got into our room, we noticed the smoke alarm was beeping needing to be fixed, and there was a heavy smell of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was also dirty upon arrival. Most upsetting was the deadbolt to the room would not latch. We asked to change rooms, and the clerk (who was very kind and considerate) showed us the only other available room. Again, in this new room there was a heavy cigarette smell and the door’s deadbolt would not latch. We heard a dog snarling in an adjacent room and did not feel remotely safe staying there with our two small children. The facilities were dismal overall, I would not have felt comfortable staying there alone, let alone with my family. We checked out immediately and stayed elsewhere. I want to note that the hotel clerk tried his best to accommodate us; he was very pleasant and considerate. But we will never stay in a motel in this condition again, some serious improvements should be made.

Did not have blanket on the bed. She sheets aren’t fitted. They just throw a sheet on the bed. Bed liner has holes in it. Everything smells like smoke. The towels are a joke. Horrible experience.

This hotel is not clean smells really bad and because the area, inside of the rooms you can hear others guests talking really loud middle and of the night.

The hotel was dirty. Never heard a vacuum cleaner. It always smelled. No coffee pots in the room. The pictures on line did not match the actual rooms. If it had not been a desperate situation with my daughter being in the hospital in need of a heart transplant I would not have stayed there.

Had bed bugs and roaches

The room smelled like they had sprayed something to cover up smoke. It was so strong it was making our eyes burn. The looked like it had been kicked in at some point. There were people loitering in the hall right outside of our room.and in the parking lot. Everything about this place was so bad i packed up my family and got another hotel for the weekend after only maybe a total of 10 minutes in the place. The whole neighborhood is shadey. Stay away.

Room had window/patio door locked shut with black paint over the glass. Rooms were limited in Indy, but I should have researched the hotel more and the area.

In a terrible location and the room was horrendous. Mice coming out from the a/c unit, leaking fried, sink would not drain and shower was the worse I’ve ever been in

It was a shady part of town. But the room was nice.

This is the most Spartan motel I've been to in the last 45 years. The neighborhood is very poor and the amenities nearby are non-existent.

Thin walls, noisy, not really clean, cheap mattresses.

I would never stay here again. The floor of the room was greasy and sticky, the bathroom was disgusting and the room was like a prison cell. Nothing in it except a desk and the refrigerator and microwave were next to the bed sitting on top of each other very unprofessional. The pillows were literally flat as pancakes and asked for more but they never gave me any. Very ghetto hotel and would give zero stars if I could

It was good. Gave deposit back with no problem

It was dirty, there was fighting in the hallway in the middle of the night, the shower was not usable, there was a loud police interaction with someone in the hotel that lasted over an hour in the middle of the night, plus the motel charged me an extra $20 deposit that they they didn't refund but my credit card did.

The place was run down with people hanging out in the hallways. When I opened the door to my room, someone had been staying in it. I left without staying and still struggling to get a refund. Do not stay here!

Everything is good but specially front desk staff very helping and nice.. Highly recommended

Had a lady knocking on my door for sex at 6:00 am saying she had the correct room wanting money for services I DID NOT ORDER there one night for college basketball tournament for men and women.Did not for 2 to 3 minutes.

Caution. Stay somewhere else. See photos. Dingy, hastily renovated, sparsely accommodated room... Feels like transitional housing, not a place of hospitality. Items needing repair throughout (bed frame uneven, bathroom door -fell off and hit a family member- sink coming off the wall, finicky door key entry to name a few). Simple accommodations were missing (no cups in room for water or hygiene, was told a toddler bed would be set up for our young child, but upon -late- arrival, was told "we don\'t have one", no additional sheets or covers for beds, pillows, deflated and uncomfortable) I know it\'s cheap, but, spend a few more dollars, stay somewhere better.
