Peaceful, Pet-friendly Washougal Paradise!

Our stay was nice, listing was accurate and property was beautiful. Hot tub was not useable as it was quite dirty. This was disappointing because we the hot tub was one of the reasons we had booked this property. We also notice that the house wasn’t clean, bathroom trash cans were not taken out from the previous guests that had stayed, they were full to the top with feminine hygiene products. Rooms were dusty and many cobweb and bugs had accumulated in parts of the house. Over all the home was great and perfect for our stay, but it needed a more detailed clean.

Loved the home and property

We loved the house and the property and were very comfortable! Our only critique would be that the laundry room was not swept and there were some big cobwebs in the 1/2 bath and a couple of the light fixtures. There were also some bugs that got in through the master windows when they were opened even though we saw no holes. Just wanted to make you all aware of that.

I want to preface that I did not stay at this home due to the terrible customer service. My family and I plan a yearly trip somewhere new every year. This year was supposed to be Oregon and we booked the house 2 months in advance. About three weeks before our stay we had a family emergency and half our group wouldn’t be able to make it. I contacted the house management and asked if we could just move the dates of our stay. They said yes and then didn’t contact me back. I messaged them repeatedly with no answer until I called Vrbo and got in contact with a customer service agent. Long story short I was in a three way call with the property management and Vrbo employee for hours! They tried to tell me that moving my dates would result in a 900 seasonal fee since apparently the dates I selected were the last days before they up their prices for the season.I then asked for a refund for the house and the property management declined and claimed I no longer fell under their cancellation policy. I asked what they were willing to do which then ended in the property management hanging up and not picking up when the Vrbo employee called them back. I was left with the option of loosing all the money I put in for the house or paying an additional 900 to move my dates to the following month. I normally don’t leave bad reviews because I don’t believe the customer is always right but I do believe there was something the property management could have done but refused.

There was something for all ages at this great retreat tucked away in Washougal. We stayed here during thanksgiving week, and had a blast. The view from the backyard is gorgeous and we enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub thoroughly. The kitchen was well stocked, the house was very clean and had all the amenities our group needed. The host was very helpful and responsive. 10/10!
