Lovely stay at a lovely location. Staff were lovely a d the lookout room was great. Breakfast was also delicious. My only critique would be the dinner menu didn't have many vegetarian options (one starter, one main and one salad) so we ended up having to get a takeaway instead of dining I. The restaurant.

I’m disappointed. The room looked nice at first but closer look revealed spider webs across bed frames, spiders in the room and stains on duvet cover. Worst of all, we cant control the room temperature - the room was so warm at night that my partner decided to sleep on the floor. Our dogs were affected by the temperature and were barking at night which they never do. Due to the anxiety of being nuisance to the guest around, I myself couldn’t sleep at all with the heat in the room. We also took a bath then had no hot water supply to take shower after. The dinner was amazing and the restaurant staff were nice and friendly. But the stay experience is the worst I have had at any hotel unfortunately.

We stayed at The Tempus for two nights in early August. Our room was lovely and couldn’t be faulted, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. There was a wedding on both days of our stay, meaning some of the facilities we had specifically booked the hotel for were unavailable or difficult to use. We ate in the restaurant one evening and, whilst the food was good, the atmosphere was awful. Wedding guests from the celebration in the gardens were constantly using the restaurant as a thoroughfare to the bar, which itself was heaving. We gave up on getting a second drink and were left feeling as though we were intruding on somebody else’s party. It felt more like a busy all-inclusive buffet than a relaxing hotel restaurant. This is by no means a cheap hotel, so it was disappointing that the weddings had such an impact on our stay. I completely understand the hotel hosting weddings, but there needs to be better separation between wedding parties and other paying guests. At the very least, the hotel should be transparent at the time of booking when weddings are taking place and advise if facilities are likely to be affected. Had we known there would be weddings on both days and the extent of the disruption, it would have influenced our decision to book.
