Villa Liberty TownHouse

We arrived at the unit to find a set of keys in an easily operable lockbox outside. Upon entering the unit, we found a well-furnished, roomy space that comfortably housed us and our 2 teenagers with 2 bedrooms, a semi-private living room with sofabed that was already made up for us, 2 large full bathrooms, and even a private terrace. The first bathroom had a washing machine and the terrace had a drying rack so we were able to wash a few things. The fully equipped kitchen had a fridge with built-in icemaker, a treat for us Americans who had been drinking semi-cool water in our bottles since the beginning of the trip. The location is perfect - right outside the main part of the old city near the giant Medici fort which you can walk up onto for wonderful views (no cost.) The walk from the house to the duomo or the main piazza where the palio is run is around 15 minutes, with the edge of the city center less than 5 minutes. The building is beautiful in a neighborhood of old stately European buildings. It felt very clean and safe all around. The only small annoyance was thumping base from music at an event at the fort until late Saturday night, but it was not that disruptive. Overall, I highly recommend this lovely apartment .

Great location, very clean, quiet- easy to check in. Fully equipped and the kitchen was a nice size to prepare dinners for our family. Two large bathrooms and onsite laundry was a very welcome surprise! The outdoor terrace was wonderful and we look forward to returning in the future! Siena is beautiful!
