I would never stay there. They say it's a hotel but it's not, it's a motel and a nasty one. I walked in and turned around and walked out it was that bad.

One of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The room was dirty, and when I told the staff of the room was dirty, I was told they would send housekeeping and housekeeping never came and cleaned when I went down for breakfast. There were roaches crawling around I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Very old and run down. But was a great location and view. We only stayed overnight to catch our cruise the next day. Convenient to the port.

The only thing GREAT about this property was that it was located right across the street from the beach, other than that this hotel needs MAJOR renovations and upgrades! The paint can only hide so much. Outdated bathroom with RUST CALCIUM AND DUST! Smoke detector looks dangerous and unsafe, vents had dust and rust one them, shower fixtures had rust and calcium buildup shower curtain had stains that were unidentifiable. Bedding was NOT CLEAN! Bed was made only with a sheet and when pulled back the bed was stained and had hair in the bed, found a comforter in the closet that had stains on it. The bed itself was not comfortable at all needs a new mattress and frame. I’m so disappointed in WINGATE by Wyndham in Galveston. Needs a major upgrades or reduce price and be listed as a MOTEL!

The room had black mold, no covers or blankets and loud proud outside all night. The microwave sparked when we tried to use it. Overall, I thought I was getting a nice hotel from the brand but this place was a mess. It was uncomfortable and I would not stay again. My car would have been more comfortable
