Stayed 5 nights

The second night we were there, 4 people came in our apartment at 3:30 am. The rental company had given either us or the other group the wrong apartment and door code. Luckily my daughter was only half-asleep, so she heard them, went out in the living room, and told them they were in the wrong apartment. Also luckily, they were nice men who wanted to help work things out. They got on the phone with the rental agency and the agency told us we were in the wrong apartment (even though we were exactly where the email instructions told us to be). Quickly, the agency sent the other group to the apartment upstairs with no further incident. Everyone makes mistakes - but this one was very bad and could have been much worse. The agency sent me an email apologizing for the "inconvenience." This was beyond inconvenience. As to the rest of the stay, I think the bathroom was designed by someone who had never used a bathroom. It was impossible to shower without getting the entire bathroom wet. There are no shelves for soap. The faucet is too close to the basin so the sink is constantly wet. The apartment is above several bars - people were screaming at the top of their lungs at 4 am. The bedroom had one pillowcase. On the plus side, the location is convenient to Reykjavik attractions, and a block from parking. It was reasonably clean. If they can straighten out their check-in process (put numbers on the doors - problem solved), the process is relatively easy. Cable and TV is OK.

Stayed 3 nights

This property is conveniently located right on Rainbow Street in the heart of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Great communication with the property owner. Highly recommend. You will have to walk up a few flights of stairs which wasn’t an issue for my family and I. We throughly enjoyed our stay at this property.

Stayed 4 nights

We were pretty happy with the property overall. The location is great right in the heart of downtown and within walking distance of almost everything. The negatives were the following: it was 3 flights of stairs to get to the apartment which would not be ideal for older couples and creates an issue with heavy bags. There is no elevator. The street noise was loud but the owners were transparent with this and we knew it going in. The positives are: the location and I loved the hot water from the shower, it was close to a grocery store and the owners were very responsive with any questions that I had. I would recommend this place. On another note, we were told bus stop 8 was the closest but bus stop 6 was way closer.
