The motel is located in the perfect area, with most entertainment walkable. Everything felt perfectly safe. Parking was great. The lobby is very small (non existent), but the friendly staff that great you make up for what the lobby lacks in decor and warmth. There aren’t microwaves or coffee makers in the rooms but there’s both in the communal lounge area. I had no issues throwing on my slippers and walking downstairs to use them as needed. One challenge is not having an elevator to the second floor, but if you need accessible access you can request a room on the main level and use the ramp and lift to access it. Overall it’s budget friendly, clean, quiet, and in a great location with amazing staff.

Loved The Motor Lodge. Excellent location, great price, awesome concept. And every single person (from check-in to cleaning ladies) were cheerful and helpful. And free covered parking next door. Could not recommend more.

We stayed two nights for NYE weekend along with 4 other couples and we all echoed the same opinions - friendly and accommodating staff (room upgrade, late checkout) and the decor is simple but tasteful, featuring local artists, including books in the common areas which we enjoyed perusing. Our rooms were pristine, not a dust bunny to be found, the high-end toiletries and robes in each room were a great touch and we all loved the super comfy beds, pillows and bedding. The 24 hour coffee, tea and water bar is also a great feature, with hot and cold options as well as still or sparkling local waters (we are in Saratoga Springs, after all!). The central atrium area was perfect for our large group to gather, we even played games on the long table and enjoyed our morning coffee or tea together. We were attending a 2 night stand at Putnam Place and it's right there, a one block walk down. Free parking, we didn't have to use our vehicle all weekend, the whole of downtown was right outside our doors. One of the couples in our group loved it so much, they decided to stay one more night. Highly recommended!!

although advertised, there was parking for 6 cars, you had to use a parking deck. then there was an event, everyone had to move to the parking deck. was told there would be help with moving our luggage, there was none.

The checkin and checkout process was extremely easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Only thing that made me feel unsafe was that sometimes some homeless people would hang out by the parking lot, but they have staff at the front desk at all times and they lock the front door after hours which you can get in with your door key.

Very modern and clean. Nice layout. Had fridge in room, in center of motel there is alway coffee and water from spring. Style is very cool with retro post modern. Desk seems to close down early so if coming in late would contact in advance to see what to do. No desk in room. Area is very walkable with tons of restaurants shopping etc.

Right in the middle of town. If you don't get any parking spot in front of the hotel, you need to park in back in the parking garage that I found inconvenient. Room is clean. Everything was adequate, air conditioner worked well, bed was comfortable. Had a room right opposite cleaning station and uh was a bit early. I thought I heard a dryer running. Otherwise, the room served its purpose.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The neighborhood felt very safe and was incredibly walkable, which made it easy to explore nearby shopping areas. I appreciated how easy parking was as well—definitely a plus! Everything I needed was conveniently located, and the area stayed quiet throughout the night. Overall, a smooth and comfortable experience.

Parking seemed safe. The shelf towels were on needed cleaning as it was dusty. The black out shade didn't cover the entire window. Too short so when the light came in we had to put coats to cover the window where shade was short. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

The Bluebird Spa is conveniently located in downtown near bars, restaurants and Congress Park. That is the plus side of staying at the lodge. The Motor Lodge is unique in the way it is set up, with a big common area in the center of the motel. The lodge provides a blow dryer and nice bathrobes. Negative comments: the floor in our room was dirty and there were noticeable cobwebs all around the room. There was no microwave in the room which was inconvenient. There is a nice coffee bar, but there is no hot water, so having a microwave would have been helpful. The set up of the lodge made it so you can see/hear others coming and going from the balcony (even at 3:30 AM). People were also camped out in front of our room in chairs, which we found unsettling. Our room was "run down," and the dirtiness of the concrete floor did not help in that regard. Our last issue was with parking. There is not enough parking for all of the guests, so we had to park our car in a garage (granted free) but the area of the garage has some people of questionable character loitering about which made us a little uncomfortable about leaving our car. The staff, when we interacted with them, seemed pleasant enough, but I would not call them overly attentive. We felt we got the bare minimum from them in terms of hospitality. The price tag for this stay was ridiculously expensive for not being clean or quiet. We spent over $1500 for three nights and I do not feel this was a $500+ per night room.

Great location to many shops and restaurants. Property was renovated a few years back--feel and cleanliness was modern and up-to-date. One dislike was the shower curtain or the lack of it. A glass partition covered only half the width of the shower. Water was splashed out leaving a big puddle by the toilet.

The rooms were clean and nice. The bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the 24/7 coffee station. Ok water pressure in the shower wasn’t great but the products were very high end. Great staff. The area was fantastic. You don’t have to drive anywhere. Shops, cafes, restaurants, and much more right at your finger tips. Very cute town, a bit pricey.

I was a little late at check-in and was thankful for the attendant who stayed at 930pm. The room itself: there was a gap in the door that let in all of the neon glow light from atrium. The heating system made loud noises all night, and with concrete everywhere, nothing could absorb/quiet the noise. Very sleepless night. The bathroom had quite a fee hairs stuck to the door, so not as clean as I would like. Bed and pillow were comfy as I watched the time tick by due to insomnia. Recommend bringing eye masks and ear plugs to future guests.

You're really paying for the location and that's it. The room was sooooo bright because the rooms have interior windows to the indoor courtyard which is totally illuminated 24/7. It was le miz.

This place was fine for a 1 night stay. Our room was on the first floor and our window faced the street so it was very loud. We could also hear people talking, coughing, sneezing, etc in the common area. It’s definitely worth the price vs other expensive options hotels in the area. I would not want to spend more than a night or 2 here but I do recommend it. The staff was very friendly!

Not sure if every room is like this but our room did not have a single chair or small table, not even an end table near the bed. Our queen size bed was against the wall which meant I was climbing over my spouse to get out of the bed at night. Maybe the lack of chair / table in the room motivates you to spend time in the community lobby which has coffee and a few long tables.

The room was pleasant and the location is excellent. My only quibble is with the air conditioning: the large public space is wildly over-cooled, and the AC in the room is badly positioned so that it blows right across the bed all night.

Location is incredible. Fun decor. Very comfortable bed. The only complaint is the door into the room did not seal well and felt very flimsy. All doors need better seals. Not good noise dampening in general.

Desk attendant on Sunday am was busy on a phone call when I had to interrupt him for check out (his job?), made a comment on the phone in front of my wife that people cant follow directions for online check out (we received NO message of any type) and I required about 30 seconds of his time. Besides that interaction the rest of our stay was awesome. Cleaning staff was exceptionally friendly. Definitely a great place to stay in the center of it all!

The motel is located in the perfect area, with most entertainment walkable. Everything felt perfectly safe. Parking was great. The lobby is very small (non existent), but the friendly staff that great you make up for what the lobby lacks in decor and warmth. There aren’t microwaves or coffee makers in the rooms but there’s both in the communal lounge area. I had no issues throwing on my slippers and walking downstairs to use them as needed. One challenge is not having an elevator to the second floor, but if you need accessible access you can request a room on the main level and use the ramp and lift to access it. Overall it’s budget friendly, clean, quiet, and in a great location with amazing staff.

Terrible- absolutely terrible. When we arrived at the hotel the front desk agent told us it would be about 20 minutes for our room to be ready, 35 minutes later I went to check after I didn’t receive a call - she said it would be ready any minute - great- 15 minutes later she said, it would be ready any second. Another 45 minutes later and I walk up to the room and the attendant is starting on the room

I've stayed here several times. The location and value can't be beat!! Things to know - you must pack slippers! The floors are not carpeted or tiled. It's poured concrete. Great for cleaning, but not for warmth. The middle gathering space offers tea and coffee, or you can buy an overpriced hot beverage when you get breakfast across the street at Uncommon Grounds. (Great bagels there!) The front desk is unmanned after 9 PM, so make sure you let them know if you're going to have a late arrival!

I am not a fan. The young woman at the front desk was unfriendly and abrupt. Her interaction with us was basically, "hand me your credit card." She didn't even look at us or smile. The hotel was WAY over priced for what it was. It felt like they thought if they painted an old motel and put a few things on the wall, it qualified for 4-star hotel prices. Would never go back.

It is not as nice in person as it is presented online There are tons of homeless men in the parking garage right behind the hotel. They asked me for money and followed me down the parking garage. I did not feel safe. The hotels parking lot is so tiny — not enough places for all the guests so they suggest you park in the parking garage with the homeless. Our room was not ready at 4 pm as promised as we had to wait until 5:30 pm. I was late to get ready for dinner. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I thought I would try something new but I will stick to bigger name hotels with better customer service.

This place was fine for a 1 night stay. Our room was on the first floor and our window faced the street so it was very loud. We could also hear people talking, coughing, sneezing, etc in the common area. It’s definitely worth the price vs other expensive options hotels in the area. I would not want to spend more than a night or 2 here but I do recommend it. The staff was very friendly!

We love staying at the Blue Bird and stay here 2 or 3 times a year. The parking is easy and right in front. The check in is easy the rooms are nice. The hotel is located right in the middle of downtown on Broadway and is convenient to everything.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The neighborhood felt very safe and was incredibly walkable, which made it easy to explore nearby shopping areas. I appreciated how easy parking was as well—definitely a plus! Everything I needed was conveniently located, and the area stayed quiet throughout the night. From the area. Parents in ballston spa. Loved it. Hoping to come back for the track last week of July. Only complaint was that the coffee tasted off. Flavored maybe? And wasn’t very warm. Girlfriend: lovely. Will be back. Thank you.

A very nice place to stay. Nice and helpful staff. Close to amenities. Short walking distance to downtown. The bed and bedding was amazingly comfortable. The bathroom was nice except for having no fan and having to put towels down because a large amount of water would easily splash out of the shower. The coffee from the coffee station had a lot of grounds in it so we didn’t drink it. Despite the minor things, it was great. I would stay there again, for sure!

We have stayed in Saratoga before, but this was our first time at Bluebird. We really liked it's location to downtown. Just across the street at Uncommon Ground was a delicious breakfast! Nearly any shop or restaurant was a 4 - 8 minute walk away. The staff was very friendly and our room clean!

Les chambres ne sont pas chaleureuses ni insonorisées. Le concept du lobby central semble intéressant à première vue, mais le lobby interne rend le tout tellement écho! Les stores ne sont pas bien pensés non plus, il nous était impossible d’avoir une chambre complètement sombre. Le matelas et la literies étaient confortables puis le personnel à l’accueil très accueillant. Le motel est bien situé cela dit.

The Bluebird is ideally located, right in the heart of Saratoga Springs' restaurants & cafes, and charming boutiques. The hotel was sparkling clean, our upgraded room was spacious and chic. The sheets were so soft and beds were SO comfortable. My only suggestion is bring an eye mask if you like to sleep in the dark! We were very grateful we had ours - light from the hallway and street make the room less dark. All and all we loved this place and will absolutely want to stay here in the future whenever we come back to Saratoga Springs!
