It’s a very nicely maintained hotel, all the staff we encountered was top-notch. Friendly and helpful. Super clean space in the room and in all parts of the hotel. We recommend , Moss Beach is a quieter alternative, but is still local and not far from the other tourist areas of Monterey and Santa Cruz.

This is just what we needed for relaxation and a good night's rest for several nights after a stressful period in our lives. We do think they should have mentioned that there's road traffic noise in many of the rooms... And when we discovered this (and later noticed that they provide free ear plugs), we asked if we could be moved. Thankfully, we were accommodated and got a room that provided us a quiet night's sleep (without earplugs). But the highlight of staying here was that every staff member at the front desk was so friendly and aimed to make our stay feel home. They provided free warm popcorn at night delivered to your room if you wanted. They took an interest in our day trips and what we were experiencing. And we loved that we were this close to Moss Landing for whale watching!

The hotel itself was clean, the staff welcoming. It’s right on rt 1, so you can hear all of the car traffic the entire day and night. Yes, they give ear plugs and a noise machine. I traveled with my 6 year old so we already had a noise machine with us. The traffic noise still woke us up throughout the night. For the cost of the room, I’d expect the tv to have service, the coffee machine (that makes coffee, cappuccinos, americanos, espresso, hot chocolate, etc) to have milk and not just the little cups of creamer, and some form of breakfast (pastries from a local bakery, instant oatmeal, fruit I feel is bare minimum). It worked for what we needed, but I probably won’t go back.
