This is such a unique, cool property. It'd be nice to be able to access one's vehicle a bit easier, but they do a great job of making the bell service available as quickly as possible. Obviously its going to suck around check in/check out time, but overall it wasn't too bad! Our bellman, Jose was AWESOME as well. He anticipated our needs, offered solutions for us, and helped us lug entirely too much luggage up the stairs. He was awesome!!!

The Otter Crest Inn has an incredible location with stunning views, and the front desk staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. However, that’s about where the positives end. Our room was outdated, uncomfortable, and unfortunately had mold in the bathtub. The check-in lobby and the third-party restaurant also feel dated, and the restaurant food was inconsistent. With some serious updates and better housekeeping, this place could be great, but right now it needs a lot of work.

These buildings were constructed with very thin walls and ceilings, and light literally shines around the adjoining-rooms doors even when locked. I could hear everything my neighbors said, whether they were on their balcony or in their room with the doors closed, and I heard every step taken by my upstairs neighbor. The worst part was, the property couldn't have been more than half occupied when I was there, but I had three different sets of neighbors in five days in the adjoining room. Knowing how easily the noise travels, staff should definitely try to keep guest rooms separated when the property is so unfull. Aside from that, everything was wonderful. There were amazing balcony views and the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the shore below, the property was well maintained and beautifully landscaped, and it was a great location far enough from town to get some peace but close enough to get dinner or go see some amazingly beautiful nature. I'm sad to say that I still wouldn't recommend this place or stay here again, because you don't know if your neighbors will be a girl's trip cutting loose with wine, a family with crying children, or partying college kids. I had all three, and even the upstairs neighbor who was relatively quiet was still very audible just by existing in the space. Such a shame.
