Right on the beach which made things very easy. Nice to have beach chairs and umbrellas. The food choices were convenient but just average quality. But all the staff were very helpful and nice. Very nice area.

Amazing stay. We went in the “off season” and got upgraded to a slightly larger room. The proximity to the beach was great, especially because we were traveling with our children. Great heated pool with a sun shelf.

Excellent in all categories! Clean. Beautiful. Great staff. Great location. So convenient having a beautiful pool and beach and bar and restaurant all in one place. Staff made everything so easy. Wish the pool bar had a few more healthy food options, but they have two salads and an açaí bowl, and everything they served was delicious. We’ll be back!

We particularly enjoyed sitting by the pool and having a beverage at the outdoor bar. It was a very relaxing vacation for us at Icona Avalon. Our floor was very quiet and we could walk to the shopping district in Stone Harbor.

EVERYTHING WONDERFUL!! Thank you for a great stay! Rooms are beautiful! Love the counter with everything you need. Room decor so pretty, love the white with blue, so nice with ocean decor, so perfect! You don’t see that too often at beach resorts. Very soothing!!

Front desk staff were great. Appreciated the free EV charging. Housekeeping staff seemed pretty rude and it was never clear when they’d come clean your room. AC in the room looked a bit old.

Property was very nice and clean, the staff was courteous and the check-in process was smooth. We stayed in a room that was right above the air and heat compressor and the room noise was very loud. I spoke to the front desk, but there was little to be done.

Great overall! I would recommend that you take the corroded/rusty floor lamp out of the room as well as paint the corroded/rusty wall sconces in the bathroom. These things take away from otherwise terrific facility. Thank you.

Clean, well maintained, staff was excellent. Wi-Fi was terrible, halls were noisy, outside room noise on street side was bad, and there was a constant whistling of air conditioning.

On the website the property looks gorgeous. I thought I was in for a upscale getaway to the beach to relax but the entire hotel was filled with children and families. The staff seemed young and inexperienced. There is no indoor pool or spa. Also it seems like when you book with expedia you are destined to get a room by the elevator. Hotels have no respect for you if you book through expedia. We did not receive any complimentary bottle of wine like Expedia listed. Overall I feel ripped off by the prices without any amenities. Avalon it self also sucks! Nothing is ever open and everything is always sold out. Save your money and go to an all inclusive.

I loved staying here and will come back. My only gripe is that they don’t have an organized process to get your bags In and out of the hotel. To get my bags in the hotel the receptionist asked me to go to valet but there wasn’t anyone there. Two patrons helped me carry my luggage in (I had my 16 month old baby with me.) Checking out I called 30 minutes ahead for someone to help me take my bags to the car, no one came and I ended up doing it myself with my toddler. I did see employees walking around with hotel trolly carts but when I needed it I didn’t get the service. Other than this the stay was great.

Front desk immediate ominous mention that I booked 3rd party at check-in. Front desk said would send up items, did not and then phone dead in the evening. unable to get simple item as blankets so the kids were cold all night. At checkout, folio couldn't print at check out and now seeing that I am OVERBILLED. 3 times reached out to correct and have had to get my credit card company involved. have been here before but this visit disappointing.

Wonderful hotel. Close to restaurant and the beach. The rooms are pristine and beds and pillows super comfortable.

We particularly enjoyed sitting by the pool and having a beverage at the outdoor bar. It was a very relaxing vacation for us at Icona Avalon. Our floor was very quiet and we could walk to the shopping district in Stone Harbor.

Right on the beach which made things very easy. Nice to have beach chairs and umbrellas. The food choices were convenient but just average quality. But all the staff were very helpful and nice. Very nice area.

It’s a beautiful resort. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I love that they have restaurants on the resort. I can’t wait to come back again.

Excellent in all categories! Clean. Beautiful. Great staff. Great location. So convenient having a beautiful pool and beach and bar and restaurant all in one place. Staff made everything so easy. Wish the pool bar had a few more healthy food options, but they have two salads and an açaí bowl, and everything they served was delicious. We’ll be back!

The room was clean. The size of the bed pillows were too small - basically a bit larger than a throw pillow. The beach attendants were nice but put us at the back of the beach when there was a lot of space closer to the water. The meal at the brew pub was mediocre at best. I ordered the turkey ruben. When I reported that there were only just small scraps of turkey in the sandwich, the waiter told me they ran out of turkey. Little things matter when you are going on holìday - I am very disappointed.

Beautiful place, easy access to Beach , food options were great , room was clean and Comfy except for the price I expected more from the pool there were no fountains and it was nothing special and I was very upset with the patio view. We were looking at parked cars which was not pleasant some of the rooms faced the pool which would have been perfect for me as I enjoy sitting out , I did not even use our veranda for that reason. Again for the price I paid per night I expected much more as far as pool and view.

The pool, and staff were great. The room was nice but it was tough getting a partial cleaning daily for towels and having the floor swept from sand. The location is absolutely great and everything was clean and taken care of. Two items I'd wish for were more food offerings in the for snacks and also quick breakfast items available with the coffee, muffins, cookies.... Also, the delivery trucks at 7:00 am wake you up and its tough to sit on the balcony in the mornings.
