The room I reserved had kitchen and a full size refrigerator which was excellent. However this room was divided into two sections with a bed in each section. There was only one air conditioner in one section, so the other section was so hot to sleep.

Awesome staff!! :) This motel used to be a dump, unsafe, and I normally wouldn’t stay here, however, the new owners that took over just over a year ago, have made it so much better! Rooms have been renovated & look great. The beds are comfortable. There is a security gate from 12am to 5am to block anyone from going in or out of the property (they will open it if you need to leave) I travel alone and my last THREE trips I have made to the Cowichan Valley, I have stayed here. HIGHLY recommend 😁

We found this a nice place to stay. Older motel that has had upgrades. Clean and the staff were really nice. Cat friendly which is important to us. Good place to stay in Duncan. We would certainly return.

I booked this motel at rather the last moment given that every Canadian in the country is vacationing on Vancouver island this year (summer 2025). Duncan doesn’t have a lot of choices and this is all I could find. It was clean and fairly well appointed but the property overall is older and a little tired looking. It’s off the main highway but still close to everything. There is a security gate that closes the property off at midnight every day. Great security but inconvenient if you have to come and go mate at night. Overall 3-4/5

The motel is off the main road so little traffic noise and 10 pm cut off for guest noise. The in room heater and fridge were also quieter than most. Probably the most peaceful motel stay I have ever had. Pillows were thicker than I prefer, but would have been happily replaced had I asked. My only complaint was that scented Lysol was used in cleaning, and I prefer unscented products (likely unlike most of their customers….). The manager/desk person was very nice and willing to help when needed if asked. Gates to grounds are locked overnight and whole area has video surveillance, so I felt very safe.

First room offered was not clean and very small- other room offered was good after we told manager. Building old and in need of updates and seems a bit shabby. Paid one price online earlier but was considerably cheaper when checked after check in - never told manager but it was annoying.

Arrived at location to find the main office door locked, needed to ring a bell to be let in. Site didn’t feel safe or secure at all. Room assigned was in terrible condition, damaged flooring in multiple areas, trim missing, questionable air quality in the room, moisture issues in the bathroom which looked like there had been an attempt to paint over. We made the choice to leave after 15mins and find another place to stay for our visit.

It was excellent value. A much nicer room then the price might allude. An older property that is a little banged up. But really clean, safe and comfortable all the things that matter. When coming through Duncan we will be staying here again

Perfect place to stay in Duncan while visiting winery in the area. The room was clean and spacious. Unfortunalty our room was right next to the reception on the main floor, so it was a bit noisy (could hear foot steps on the 2nd floor and people talking around). Overall, I highly recommand this hotel.

We arrived early as my husband was under the weather. He was asleep by 5:30. They had work to do outside our room, but rather than just start it, the manager called me to ask permission to drill outside our room. I told her my husband was already asleep, and she honored that. Impressive. The room was clean and fresh.

This is not a Fairmobt or Holiday Inn but if you want a clean and cheap stay then this is it. Room was simple but clean. Nights were quiet and bed was comfortable. This not a fancy place and the neighbourhood is sketchy at best but staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

It was clean and in the process of being slowly upgraded. One section looked like it was a low cost monthly rental area and the other section was the motel which for most part was upgraded. It’s located about two blocks from a rather rough area with homeless and drug use visible on the street.

It was clean and in the process of being slowly upgraded. One section looked like it was a low cost monthly rental area and the other section was the motel which for most part was upgraded. It’s located about two blocks from a rather rough area with homeless and drug use visible on the street.

The room wasn’t what I expected. It was in a rough part of town. The building was not very well updated. The room was fine and clean, but smelled bad and old. I decided not to stay.

Wonderful staff. Check in was smooth and they were very helpful. It's an older motel but the walls are painted, the furniture is new and the bathroom and appliances are updated. The air conditioner worked so well I could have kept milk out all night without worrying. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

This is a no frills place. It is very outdated, but it was clean. The beds were comfortable which was all we were looking for. The staff were friendly and some of the rooms are occupied by permanent residents who were also helpful and friendly. If you are just looking for a comfortable bed, this is a good place to stay.

An updated and well maintained clearly older construction. The rooms were clean comfortable quiet w newer mini split air conditioners that worked well. Really convenient to hwy and hanks bakery which was amazing!
