Loucas on the Cliff

This property was very well located. Had beautiful seating area and a bar at the top. Many restaurants around and bus station near by to go to Oia. The room itself was nice but i was disappointed of the balcony as it wasn’t a private one. The pictures shown for the room I booked weren’t accurate at all. In the pictures it showed a private balcony with straight volcano view. The balcony we got wasn’t. It was a shared balcony and you had to go around to see the volcano. I brought this up tot the receptionist and she said there were just generic pictures and you get what you get. The room itself was called executive triple room volcano view. Music from the bar is loud and it plays until 2 or 3 am but that wasn’t really an issue for us. The first night we kept getting a machine sound in our room not sure what is was coming from but we didn’t sleep well. The second night the sound was gone so we were able to sleep more until we checked out. Checking out was exhausting as there was noone to help us with our luggages. The hotel has many stairs down so this was a huge issue for us since we were 2 ladies plus a senior one. We reserved a taxi from the hotel but he wasn’t able to help and we had to meet him at a meeting point all the way up. Is too bad the hotel didn’t offer other options or try to help us find someone to carry up our luggages at a earlier time. I would recommend checking out during office hours if you stay at this hotel otherwise you are on your own.

The pool was closed the entire time we were there and this was not communicated to us before arriving when they knew it would be closed during our stay. Our room also had no hot water and ants. We then were switched to another room that had no wifi. We were also called into the lobby about our towels being dirty after using them, but they’re dirty towels? I believe we were the only people here and I can see why. Will not be returning and am requesting a partial refund.

Direkt in der Stadt, mega Aussicht, gutes Frühstück. Leider keine Schirme am Pool, wenig Liegen, in der Dusche sehr dunkel und die Klima ist laut aber für den Preis echt top.

Todo muy bien, lo bueno: la vista y las habitaciones, el bar y el Desayuno espléndido. Lo no tan bueno: muchas escaleras (todo santorini), el checkin es muy temprano (11:00 am) El servicio del personal es muy bueno En la descripcion dice que hay alberca, pero NO HAY ALBERCA. En general muy bien, buena relación calidad precio.

The room had a great view but not without a little work. Had to go up stairs with a low ceiling to get to the balcony. (Think it was a triple room?) Wouldn't suggest for older people/couples. The property was nice, just a little different. (My room was a cave) Not your typical American hotel, that's for sure. It does take a LOT of steps to get to and from the property. I wouldn't suggest it for a family with young kids or the elderly. I personally don't mind the exercise, so not a big deal for me. Some things I really enjoyed about the property- 1. The location- 1-2 min walk to food and shopping. 2. The breakfast- Massive breakfast for one person. Could've easily served 3 people. 3. The bar- Amazing view of the caldera and drinks were great. (Offer hookah/sheesh as well) 4. The pool- though a little small, still nice to have. 5. Staff- Friendly

Beautiful location but make sure the pool is fixed before you book. Total disappointment to not have a pool when every hotel in the area has a pool. We were never told and everyone was upset about it too.

L'hôtel est bien situé, à côté de tous commerces et restaurants et offre une vue incroyable sur la Caldeira. Le petit-déjeuner n'est absolument pas sous forme de buffet (comme il est noté dans le descriptif de l'hôtel). Il s'agît d'un plateau. Nous sommes restés 9 nuits dans cet hôtel et nous avons eu le même petit-déjeuner chaque matin...Pas un changement! Abricots au sirop, céréales au chocolats et corn flakes, du cake industriel, oeufs brouillés + champignons + lard (quasiment froid chaque matin), fromage blanc. Notre chambre était située entre le local à balais et la pièce réservée au personnel de ménage. Pas très agréable d'être asssis sur notre terrasse et d'avoir le personnel de l'hôtel qui passe sans cesse devant nous avec sacs poubelles à la main, balais, serpillières... il s'agit de la chambre 12, celle-ci est à proscrire et ne devrait même pas être louée! Nous avons demandé un changement de chambre... ce qui a été fait après avoir insisté un peu. La piscine était inexistante...puisqu'elle était vide! A notre grande surprise! En conclusion, vous payez essentiellement la vue! Nous sommes déçus de cet hôtel qui vend du rêve dans son descriptif... petit-déjeuner sous forme de buffet (qui n'en est pas), piscine (qui n'a pas d'eau), terrasse de la chambre (partagée avec le personnel de ménage). Nous avons payé bien trop cher pour trop peu de prestations.

Pool not working because of Earthquakes?!? We didn’t know about it before we came. Huge disappointment for what we paid.

Breath taking views, room 21 had a spectacular view day and night. Food options everywhere. What I was a little disappointed was the condition of the prop. Def need to do touch up painting, rooms, hotel walls, etc. Breakfast had only the same daily options. I’m DF and GF which made it a challenge but not a deal breaker. The breakfast attendant was a super happy man! Same smile every day! Swimming pool area needs a pick me up but loved the view from the outer edge of the pool! Location was perfect half b/t Oia and Kamari. Local buses were plenty. Cabs are pricey, rented a quad and that was totally brill! Eat at Obelix - best gyros hands down! I ate there 4 times in 5 days! Def will be back but will stay on the southern end of the island. The magical spell of Santorini captured my heart forever! The best 55th bday trip EVER!!!! Ty Loucas on the Cliff.

Hat mir super gefallen die Lage und Sauberkeit.

Arrived late at night and reception was waiting for us which is good. But it was not safe when given a room far down from the cliff with no lighting for half of it down the stairs. We walked probably close to 100 steps down with our luggage without any help. Everything about this hotel is more basic than basic, things are old and broken but not fixed, reflected by the price but still pretty disappointing with such superb location.

Vue de la chambre magnifique. Avant la réservation, les clients devraient être informé du nombre de marche à monter et descendre pour arriver à leur chambre (près de 160 marches très peu ou pas éclairées et sans mains courantes par endroit pour atteindre la réception de l hôtel, les restaurants et boutiques). Pas conseillé pour tout le monde. Aucun téléphone dans la chambre pour rejoindre la réception, nous devons utiliser notre cellulaire et rarement quelqu un répond. Sur 7 jrs 5 jrs sans téléviseur la 5e journée Ns avons relancé pour avoir une télé en demandant à parler au superviseur et à ce moment seulement on nous a dit que la télé serait remplacer à la fin de la journée. Le déjeuner est le même tous les jours et décevant. Fourmis dans la chambre et la salle de bain en mauvaise état. Le seul point positif est la terrasse de la chambre et la vue exceptionnelle.

The room was clean and spotless but the platform bed was a tripping hazard. The staff was friendly and attentive and the breakfast was quite filling. The view of the Caldera was second to none!

The hotel was in great condition, very clean, hospitality was amazing! It was in the most perfect spot right in the Heart of it all. Very easy to get to places and public transport was very close. Highly recommend !! A lot of stairs, but worth it.

Excellent view of the Caldera. Rooms were ok. Had a rat in our room that started nibbling our snacks. No help bringing our luggage to the room and out of the room.

I consider this property a trade off of sorts. The location and staff were great. The views were stunning from each of the rooms. However, other travelers may want to be warned of the "stair" situation. My room was located at the very bottom of the property--- 165 steps from the bottom to the street level. In addition, the rooms themselves were "youth hostile-like" at best with probably the WORST mattress I've ever slept on. The amenities were sporadic at best. One day I didn't get towels....the next I got towels but no toiletries. The staff was accommodating an brought me both when asked, but the facilities themselves were just tired, towels were frayed, and as I mentioned, the bed was awful. Staff was friendly and nice and I give the porters huge kudos given they carried our luggage up and down the stairs.....which was a miserable hike up and down the stairs.

This hotel was clean and beautiful and fit right in to the landscape that these islands are noted for and this location was optimal and the views from my balcony out into the Aegean were breathtaking

Great area but some of the staff unfriendly. Uncomfortable beds and lacks cleanliness, staff also has weird rules to up charge fees. Would not recommend overall.

The room was pretty nice, room for 5 to sleep. The beds weren't all that comfortable, though, and the sheets came off while we were sleeping. There is no shower curtain in the shower, I assume as a design, but this was not practical since the the holder for the shower head was of poor quality, so water sprayed all over the bathroom. No way to control it. Breakfast was good.

The lady at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. The room 33 provides an awesome caldera view and sunset view. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. The property is not for people who have walking disability.

La terraza increíble, con unas vistas maravillosas y, sobre todo, tranquilidad e intimidad. La habitación muy amplia, pero la cama fatal: colchón horrible y almohada incómoda. Cada mañana despertábamos con dolor de espalda. El cuarto de baño grande, pero bastante viejo. A pesar de la incomodidad de la cama, debo decir que la estancia ha sido super agradable y las vistas inmejorables. El personal muy bueno y atento en todo momento.

Great place to stay! Staff is very friendly and helpful. The views are great. The A/C works great. All of the main attractions of Fira are right next to you. Only cons are many stairs (would not recommend for elderly people who struggle with moving), cars cannot reach the entrance and you will have to walk with luggage for .2 miles roughly, you can hear your neighbor clearly, and the bed is a little hard ( I don’t mind but others might). All in all, it’s a great place in the heart of Santorini.

Værelset levede jo slet ikke op til billederne. Vores værelse viste sig at være et lille mørkt lokale, med et lille vindue m. skodder som det eneste lysindfald. Stort set ingen garderobeopbevaring og ingen altan. Der stod 2 stole udenfor vores dør, som vi måtte flytte ud på gangarealet for at kunne kigge ud over vandet. Når vi kigger på dét værelse som vi oprindeligt havde bestilt Standard-dobbeltværelse (Caldera View) på jeres hjemmeside, kan vi slet slet ikke se nogle fællestræk med det værelse som vi fik (værelse nr. 21). Vi forsøgte endda at ville opgradere mod betaling selvfølgelig, men det kunne heller ikke lade sig gøre.

It was nice. I went for my honeymoon and we were treated super well at the reception. During my stay, I got a really bad tonsilitis during my trip to Santorini so I kinda needed to stay in the hotel room for a long time of the trip. The first problem: WIFI. All rooms have their own wifi, but on ours it wasn't working, asked s few times on the reception but none of the times it was solved. Why haven't i asked for more help? Be ready to walk A LOT, more exactly, 201 stairs for our room. It's fine if you go out for a hole day and go back just on the night, but on one day I needed to go to Santorini Hospital, and needed to go up and down those stairs multiple times. The view is the strongest part of the stay, but also notice that you are in the Heart of Fira, expect to hear some music until midnight, nothing SUPER LOUD but can be a problem for some people. Also, be mindful that if you are not the ones partying, people next door probably is. During the night you can hear other people talking, stuff falling to the ground. Etc. I don't know of those noises were of rooms above us or right to our side but we could hear them. Besides the stairs, the wifi (which might have been just our problem) and the noise, it was a nice stay. I think except for the WiFi it should have been better if I was feeling better, so i'll give them credit here. Oh, yeah, the location of the hotel is SUPER nice. Not only for the view but because you are also close to everything

It has the best view, best location; close to transportation, and you can walk to Oía:.but they need to renovate the rooms.

I do not recommend visiting this hotel if you are a solo traveller. One of their staff members came to my room window to spy on me. I reported it to the receptionist, who first denied that anything like that happened. I was in tears, explaining that I did not feel safe and did not want to stay for my trip. The managers and overnight receptionist did not take my complaint seriously at the initial report. The following morning, I called the police. They were receptive and understanding. I booked for two nights, and although I did not stay for the entire two nights, they did not offer me a refund. This was the worst experience I have had anywhere in the world.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL .I REPEAT DO NOT. I was absolutely disgusted that they refused to give any refund back of any sort. My brother and I booked 2 rooms and 1 being for my parents who are in their mid 70s. We had no choice to pull out when we turned up as it was impossible to go down 4 flights of long steep stairs and back up. Especially for my father who has a heart condition. Firstly it was a nightmare to find and no directions how to get there. If you have children good luck with luggage also. To not even have any compassion about my elderly parents and refuse to give back $0 is immoral and unethical. Shame on the owner..If you had parents in that situation I'm sure you would be absolutely horrified. If you want to treat people poorly in this way it will eventually all come back to you. Nobody is greater than God just remember that. This put extra stress on my elderly parents this situation. We travelled a long way to enjoy but to refuse to give back any refund of any sort is heartless. How about you inform people from the beginning that it isn't suitable for young families and elderly people. I will continue to fight this and I'm also disgusted in Expedia for also supporting this immoral decision. Clearly by supporting a decline for a refund you are also supporting a bad practice. Where is the humanity from management??????. Do you actually feel good about taking people's money. This is a serious safety case and you showed zero compassion.God bless!

They gave us standard room even when we pre booked and paid for a superior room. They won’t change our room since our room was already given to someone else. The standard room was 2 twin beds not ideal for a couple. The bathroom and shower were not upto par. We are working with Expedia for a difference refund but its an inconvenience for us to continue follow up on that. Other than that, the breakfast service and view was great. The location was in the heart of everything!

The views were incredible. The staff helped us with everything to include setting up our photoshoot and arranging transportation

We stayed 3 nights here and the only friendly person was Helena who greeted us upon arrival. There was an elderly lady during the day who did not even say hello when we entered the reception area. When we left, the guy did not even say hello and we were done without our checkout, he walks around the desk and I have to ask are done. He says yes. The property has good views of the caldera. Like many of the hotels, there are many steps. We had a deluxe room with view of the caldera and a balcony. The lights on the patio did not work. The room was very basic. The bathroom was ok but the hose by the toilet leaked and would cause the toilet paper to get wet. Breakfast was included with our stay only to find out that they gave you what they prepared and you have no choice. There was scrambled eggs that were cooked in a casserole and they were hard. There was yogurt, meats and cheese, bread, coffee and juice. Overall, very mediocre and we did not go back for breakfast the next mornings. Overall, it average at best. The views are ok but we stayed a little to the left of the hotel previously and that had much better views and better experience.

Incredible staff. Helped us book atv to see the island and we recommend anyone do the same. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room had incredible views and we were so close to everything in Thira. Must stay here

The Lady work on front desk is very rude. i get an executive room and i got a basic room. for price of Executive. Only put 1 towel in my room, hair dryer not work. no iron available and if i get borrow an iron she charge me extra. But the worst part is the service. just very bad attitude. like lady as slow as business was and your bad reviews, why be mean? go find another job. Terrible experience. Many other good hotels to pick.

The location is brilliant to get a great view of Fira. Just that not good for old people due to the landscape.

The location couldn’t be better, incredibly views. The restaurant and bar if you want to see the sunset or have a quiet moment is great! The unit we had lacked of shelves or counters in the bathroom and room our three day stay we had to leave everything in the suitcases. We happened to be under the bar don’t accept a room there if you are planning to sleep before 2:30AM the music shook our room until then. Also, we didn’t have hot water for two days. Another tip, once you are dropped in Fira call the hotel to come and help with your suitcases as there is no access by car and if you are traveling with a large suitcase and family it’s tough to navigate with the hills, steps and people. We definitely could stay there again but the hotel should consider who gets our unit, we didn’t have time to switch units, the rest of our group had a better experience.

The view and the amenities of the hotel are amazing!!! The only thing that I don’t like a lot it’s the stairs for get to the hotel, but it’s the price that you have to pay for that incredible view of the center of the city❤️

I loved this place, it was right where anyone should be if their coming to santorini

Best value in Fira hands down. Incredible location right on the cliff. Amazing sunset views. Near great restaurants and bars. I couldn't ask more for a 3 star hotel. I would DEFINITELY return.

En plein centre de tous les attraits, donc tout se marchait très bien. Nous avons LA vue où tout le monde se prend en photo, et ce, à même l'hôtel.

This is a no frills property. And if you can’t do stairs, don’t book here. We booked knowing that there were a lot of stairs. To get to our room was over 100 stairs. But the view was spectacular and right in the heart of Santorini. the breakfast was good but very limited selections; again, a no frills property. If you have rolling luggage, you can get assistance but only during certain hours, so be mindful of that. We used the pool and it was great. The price definitely is in line for what you get. The staff were very helpful.

The room was very unique and cute! The location is perfect, it’s the center of Fira. The breakfast was so good as well as the service. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to stay this hotel!

Def need to do touch up painting, rooms, hotel walls, etc. Breakfast had only the same daily options. I’m DF and GF which made it a challenge but not a deal breaker. The breakfast attendant was a super happy man! Same smile every day! Swimming pool area needs a pick me up but loved the view from the outer edge of the pool! Location was perfect half b/t Oia and Kamari. Local buses were plenty. Cabs are pricey, rented a quad and that was totally brill! Eat at Obelix - best gyros hands down! I ate there 4 times in 5 days! Def will be back but will stay on the southern end of the island. The magical spell of Santorini captured my heart forever! The best 55th bday trip EVER!!!! Ty Loucas on the Cliff.
