Scenic Valley Motel

We had a Colorado type Cabin with a rustic interior. Everything we needed was furnished. A small refrigerator was the noisy and the only negative thing.

Enjoyed the stay room was clean a/c worked good but the only think i dont like there is i have a boat with me and the parking is terrible no room when others with boats are there

The outside and inside window was filthy with cobwebs and dirt. When we went into our room it was full of ladybugs the ceiling and everything else was covered. There were so many flies. We did not have Wi-Fi, so the TV did not work at all. Did not want to use the beds due to all of the bugs in the room. There were so many stains on the rug tiles. The upstairs people were so loud walking around, no sleep for us. We were so grossed out....never again.

It’s an old motel with cabin like feel. Street was very noisy with dump trucks. Porch and bathroom were a bit dirty but it was okay for the price. Room was cramped but well equipped. Sheets were very clean. Lansing was better then expected.

The room wasn't ready to check in at 4:00. Cleaning lady was there didn't get checked in until 4:20. Room is ok. Old place. Beds were comfortable and a/c worked well.

The good - it was clean, relatively quiet at night (it's directly on highway 9), & hot water in the shower. There was a nice effort to make the cabin look rustic. Weathered old wood for the trim (though the carpentryleft a lot to be desired and more than a few trim pieces missing) and nice baskets for the towels. The not so good - Let's start with an office that's apparently not used and evidently always closed. The only way you can "reach" anyone is to have to call this phone number which they do not answer. Oh, and BTW, they they also will never return your phone calls. Seriously, how do they expect to make money at this place when the Service is non-existent? The 100 or so ladybugs inside the cabin falling on you, esp while you're trying to sleep I guess was somewhat cute, but a little annoying. You have to be your own handyman to fix the numerous things here - as the Bathroom mirror was at a 20° angle. You have to relocate the power cord to the TV so it doesn't constantly get pinched in the door jam. There's a very small night stand next to one of the beds and because there's no room in this cabin you can'not close the bathroom door because it strikes the night stand. Let's see, the refrigerator was at a 10° tilt and would not open easily as its door hinge doesn't fit. Again, it was clean. The beds well tucked, overall average comfort. In summary: This place could use some TLC from the owners. Kudos to the cleaning staff.

Only thing I wish they would have had was an ice maker

Inside the room & restroom were exceptionally clean & bed was comfortable. We received a key code to a box by door that held the key so getting in was very convenient. They did have chairs outside to sit on but there were buckets full of cigarette butts there which made it look kind of grungy. We did appreciate the lack of smoke in the rooms so I’m guessing that helps with that. The other thing that was not nice was that the remote did not work for tv. It said it was not connected to the system & without a front desk to call we were simply out of luck.

The staff worked very quickly on issues at the motel. There were safety issues at this property which include power stips on 2 outlets that included on refrigerator/coffe pot and tv/wifi. The heator quit on the morning of our deparure,it was on,but wouldn't work. The staff used text messages to contact us,but we needed to call to contact them in a timely manner!

The staff were helpful and the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Check is was simple.

We liked staying there. It was older, but clean and safe and everything worked fine.

This a lovely old small town motel, because of terrible weather, we were the only customers. The room was clean and warm, and the price was right. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Lansing.

Clean, quiet and comfortable

I like this motel which is close to family. The carpet had not been vacuumed before our last visit, but everything else was fine.

Room was clean, pillows too soft, shower was hot. Quiet location. Difficult to get a hold of the office. Selected cash at location for checkout, but my card on file was already charged. Towels were soft and fluffy. Bed was semi comfortable. Overall, would stay here again since there is not much available in the area.

The little cabin was set up cute, but the bed was very uncomfortable. The rest was fine. The frig did freeze our pop.

Very quaint and clean and nice little motel. We didn’t spend much time there but the beds were comfy and the showers were hot. People upstairs were kind of noisy but we dealt and mostly ignored it. Will definitely be back tho.

For the price and location this motel was good. Only problems were that the entry door was a little hard to close and when the person next door was taking a shower it was quite loud in my room. I would stay there again.

The room was clean but we could taste the pine sol in the air when we first got there. The bed was really springy and just not overly comfortable. We were left with about 1/4 of a roll of TP in our room. When I reached out to the owner, I didn’t get a response until 5 hours later where she told me she just saw the message and the cleaner wouldn’t have been there till 10am… and we were well gone by then. The doors were a little hard to close and open, but otherwise was fine. It was quiet. I am an event planner and had a wedding outside of Harper’s Ferry so we were lucky we weren't there too much. Overall it was good for being in a pinch but maybe want to look at different cleaning products and make sure the rooms are stocked with supplies. It really sucked when I wasn’t feeling well this morning.

The pictures that are posted is not the room I got. The room was old. No extra toilet paper and no Kleenex or blow dryer. Didn’t know how to use the TV. No staff to help you with anything not even check in or out. They leave a key in a box by your room. I wouldn’t recommend this motel to anyone. Was very upset with this place.

Great staff and easy in/out.

We were visiting friends in town and just wanted somewhere to lay our heads. Beds were firm but not hard. In our room there were 3 different types of pillows on each bed. Very clean and updated. Easy check in and out Worked perfect for what we needed and the price was great as well

Well we arrived between 6.30pm and 6.45pm and the office was closed. We’d had no comma about getting in and there was no cellphone signal to call them. Luckily the WiFi password was visible through the office window so was able to message through hotels.com. Around 8pm we got a reply and we’re finally able to get into the room. Shortly afterwards it sounded like there was a pow wow going on in the room above for about 30 minutes. Apart from all that it was an okay stay

Super cute and clean motel. The cabin out back was excellent. Very comfortable stay. Gabby was very welcoming and organized.

Great place for the value plus easy checkin/checkout

No check in available at office at 6:00. We called the posted number for assistance, no answer. We called Hotels.com for assistance, and was told that there was definitely someone in the office that they now had on the phone on a different line. Even though I knew otherwise as I had already been to the office, I walked over again to find and empty office. I told the rep that she must be lying to you, but the rep chose to believe the hotel owner/manager which floored me. It’s also during this call that I suddenly received a message with the key code. Very poor on the part of the establishment and very poor customer service on the part of the Hotels.com representative.

No Checkin needed, very seamless, nice and cozy on a cold winters day.

Typical lodging in this area ... met our expectations.

Cute property, and our key was left in the locked box. Comfortable room at a good price. We really enjoyed staying in Lansing.

It was quite despite being right on the highway.

I would stay again in the future. The area around where it is on the edge of town is beautiful with the rolling hills of the bluff country. Close to the river.
