Carmel Beach Hotel

Safe parking, quiet area, close to beach and downtown.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel, because I was running the Big Sur marathon. It was an amazing hotel to stay for a couple. The rooms were clean. They had some great areas on property to hang out. The beach was a block away.

Paid for ocean view but was the furthest room away. Said you can “see the ocean” but when I booked all ocean views were from the balcony. Our balcony faced the neighborhood. Shower broke and the AC didn’t work. Check in staff was not necessarily rude… but definitely short and not at all friendly. Horrible hotel

$350 pet fee that was never disclosed prior. Will never be back... Pet and Resort Fee = $420.... on top of the already expensive room.

Great location and friendly staff. Was raining so couldnt sit around the fire pit. Just an easy walk to the beach and quick car ride to all thre shopping and restaurants
