Here’s an honest review: Location 5/5 — Perfectly located in the coolest neighborhood of Beirut Amenities 4/5 - It’s a cute, heritage building with an external staircase that’s a little tricky when it rains, but charming AF when it’s a beautiful day out. The “lobby” is charming but feels less of a lounging place, and more like a cafeteria. The shower situation is cute in the corner, but not very practical as water ends up pooling in the room after a reasonable shower. Not a huge deal, but not perfect. Bed 5/5 — Very comfortable king size. Perfect to sleep in after a long day (and my days have been LONG AF!). Noise 3/5 — Location being what it is, you will hear the neighbourhood (street cars, occasional construction bangs, loud church bells- not the charming kind of church bells). It did bother me a few morning not gonna lie. Staff 5/5 - Amazing hospitality. No negative comments. Super responsive. Kind. Smiling. All good! Room 3.5/5 - It’s a cute concept: A micro hotel in a heritage building… so it is what it is. I really like the high ceilings (Heritage building). I didn’t like that there wasn’t much room to unpack properly. A corner closet (or an “armoire” if you want to stay true to form) would’ve been great. Another thing I really didn’t like is the lack of ventilation in the room. How much hours raise the humidity and unless you’re open the windows, books and passports would end up wrinkled. Cost 5/5 — A lot of value for the money. Definitely a great find.

The hotel is absolutely not worth the price. Perhaps it's just the location, plus there's no parking and it's in the middle of the city. The owner is also incredibly rude and insincere. I booked at midnight for the same night, but the website mistakenly booked it for the next day. I called the owner, who asked me for $80 more for another available room. I then tried to make up for it with EXPEDIA the next day, but EXPEDIA's customer service team told me the owner wouldn't refund the mistaken payment. Thank you so much; from the photos, I can see it was a pleasure not to have been your guest.

It’s a converted old house with a lot of charm. WiFi is good. Water never ran out. Electricity was always on. The towels were thick. The A/C cooled the room appropriately. The breakfast was great. There is water and tea available for free in the common area. Note that there is no elevator and the stairs are fairly steep. The only real complaint is that the shower head had accumulated a lot of calcium due to the hard water, and this affected the water pressure. Also, dirt or hair had accumulated in the shower drain, causing the water to drain slowly. Both are easy fixes that should have been caught by the household staff.
