Hotel Puerto Valdes

Great value for the location, updated boutique hotel, convenient parking

Beautiful looking hotel but the looks deceive the actual condition of the rooms. Cheap construction materials used. The stove did not work (& others I spoke to said the same). Location was misleading as well. However the staff was amazingly helpful, knowledgeable and kind. We wanted to take the golf cart to the other side of San Juan & walk back from there but there were never enough employees available to take anyone anywhere. And lastly when it said walk to cruise port - make sure it’s the port you are departing from as they cannot drive to Pan Am ports.

Didn' clean the room...i did leave the clean room sign and they just took it and let it in the room bit didnt clean it

The hotel is centrally located within Old San Juan and walking distance to the beach. El Condado is a short Uber ride away. Within a block there is a Bakery and Cafe for delicious coffee and treats. Most of all the staff is exceptionally accommodating and does it’s best to make you feel welcome.

Very nice hotel somewhat outside busy tourist area, very quiet and near to the Capital building and “deco”government buildings. Safe/easy street parking if you have a car. Coffee pot in room didn’t work and water in shower just lukewarm. Otherwise liked the place a lot.
