Silver Collection Hotel

We loved having our own space and having our own laundry in the place was just what we needed. We were very pleased with our stay. It felt like an apartment instead of a hotel. Everything was nice and modern. The only problem we had was not gaining entry into the pool with our digital key. It wouldn’t work and staff there couldn’t get theirs to work either. ….Digital is great until it doesn’t work! My kids were disappointed when they didn’t get to swim. Break was tasty and the kids loved the pool table!

I did not like the fact that we had to walk to a different location for the complimentary breakfast; there was no signage for directions to the Clubhouse and no way to get into the gated area except for watching for departing cars and slipping through the gate!

Close to a supermarket and restaurants are near by. Great gym and pool.

The actual room was outstanding! Fully equipped kitchen would allow cooking meals. Comfortable lounging area with big tv. Bath and bedroom are first class. If the review was based solely on room it would be 5 stars. The location of the hotel is very convenient to shopping and dining. The negative is the amenities. The breakfast room, fitness facilities and outdoor pool are in a clubhouse shared with the apartments. Not the easiest to find and is at the other end of a large series of apartment buildings. Must be close to a mile between them. The hotel seems to be designed for extended stays. Not real convenient for short stays given the amenities location and the lack of a real person at a front desk to answer questions.

The rooms and amenities in the room were very nice. The walk to the pool and chromecasts not working made the trip a bit difficult.

Not one employee in hotel. Not one! My room did not look out on a garden as stated - it looked out on a cesspool. The pool and exercise room were NOT adjacent - they were down the road at an apartment complex! I did not receive a free breakfast as stated - they informed me through text the night before that there wouldn’t be one the next morning because it was Labor Day. I didn’t know people didn’t eat breakfast on Labor Day. The key for the pool area did not work.

Me and my family live local but I was a vendor for the FXBG tattoo invitational for my business Dyeing Aces Printing, I wanted to be close by so my kids could come and go from the convention center (which is right across the street) to see me and then go to the hotel to swim and have lunch or naps if needed. This was a great stay! It was a very clean and beautiful place to stay. Wegmans is right across the street also so we got groceries since our room had a full kitchen. They had a nice continental breakfast every morning that I would hit before starting my day. I will definitely be using this spot every year when I have my booth at the convention center. My kids would have fun swimming and they could relax in a beautiful sweet. Highly recommended!!

Good Location & Amenities. The clubhouse has many benefits. Access to the clubhouse was a little difficult to find when the doors were locked, better instructions could be provided in room.

Great property. The floors in my room 202 were dirty amd had not been mopped. But, the room itself was gorgeous. My 2 year old daughter and I stayed at the property. I felt safe travelling with her without my husband. It is within a quick driving distance of shopping and food options.

Everything was very clean with no issues.

We always enjoy our stays at SHC. We had a great weekend stay this time, but our room was overdue for a deep cleaning (dusty air vents, slow draining bathroom sink with mildew smell, laminate strip coming off of door). We plan to return as this has not been our experience in the past.

We were impressed with the hotel up until the point that we pulled out the pullout sofa. There were dirty linens left on the mattress, and some press-on fingernails stuck to the sheets. I wasn’t happy to remove dirty sheets myself. Other than that, we appreciated all of the amenities in the room, such as a dishwasher, washer and dryer, full-size refrigerator. We didn’t use them but liked that we had the option. It was confusing trying to locate breakfast in the morning because it was located in a separate building that we had to drive to and the entrance was not immediately apparent. We were excited to see there were some hot options available but the oatmeal was ice cold and there were no toppings available for the oatmeal and the waffles were tasteless.

Everything was great, however, the trash can under the kitchen sink had left trash in it from prior guest.

Our room was not cleaned. Dishes in the sink, beds unmade, obvious hair in bedroom. We had to move to another room but we’re unable to get the type of room we reserved. We had to switch from two doubles to a king requiring two people to sleep together who did not want to. It was late at night, we were tired and very frustrating and inconvenient to have to deal with this issue. Requested a discount but did not get one except for future visit - no thank you.

Very clean

This property is located in excellent location with all the amenities needed for an extended stay. Clean and well kept with excellent cleaning staff . I stay here any time I’m in Fredericksburg

Yes, room was spotless. When I asked for assistance with front door, staff seemed as if I interrupted her. Everything else was extremely nice and would have been excellent EXCEPT I could not get the room thermostat to warm up the room. It was a rather cold night and the curtains kept out most of the cold. Yes, I could have called again, but I was too tired to deal with her attitude. Oh! I loved having a coffee pot to have hot coffee so I could warm up on Saturday morning, better coffee would have been a giant plus.

Our first room hadn’t been cleaned and the shower was still running at 7PM. Garbage bags were in the hall but with no cleaning team in sight. The sheets from the second room pull-out bed were stained and the side tables hadn’t been dusted in n a long while. We went to relax in the pool and it as so full of flies that it wasn’t pleasant. Since it was completely clean this morning, I guess the person working this morning did his job better than the guy playing on his phone yesterday. It is a shame because the facilities are wonderful. The rooms are beautiful and surprisingly well equipped. The breakfast was perfect and the gym is very well equipped. Everything was well thought of. It is a shame the people hired to clean and keep up the facilities are not doing their jobs.

The unit is very nice but the walls are thin so you can hear the neighbors clearly. Also the folks overhead were very noisy stomping, jumping.

GREAT place - Check in was contactless and simple. The room was very nice and very clean. Here’s the exception… the upstairs unit noise. You could hear every conversation and footstep. Would have been tolerable if it hasn’t gone on until after 2am. Would have given it 5 stars had it. It been for that.

Lots of shopping near by. Can hear people walking in the room above us.

There should be an inside lock (manual) in addition to the door lock. The showers are too narrow for the American person. Breakfast is not continental but more of college level breakfast. This was disappointing. The Wi-Fi is terrible, could not chromecast well, video kept stopping. Overall it’s a nice place, a bit pricey given the three points above. The Hyatt is slightly cheaper and offers all the three above, in a search for trying something new we visited this place.

Everything was great the check-in was smooth, room was extremely spacious and clean. the only downside is I would have preferred more proteins at breakfast.

The room was big and amazing!

Clean and new - impressively appointed. Bed was soft and saggy in the middle; pillows were uncomfortable hard. That's our only complaint, but when you only want a place to sleep, that's important!

The rooms are very spacious with more amenities than most hotels. I would stay there again, now that I understand their reservation policy and the steps to accomplish self-check-in.

I had to stay here due to repair work on my home. The place was clean, a great size, and great amenities. I would have given it a 5 star but the water pressure in the shower is very poor, leading to a very disappointing shower and a workout to get the shampoo and conditioner out of your hair. May sound like a small detail, but it was that low of water pressure. This was the first time I have stayed in a keyless, no staff on sight hotel, but they did respond quickly through automative response.

For the low rate I was utterly stunned after checking in. All the amenities are true. Entire property was immaculately clean. Suite was spacious and modern yet cozy. Support was gracious and quick to respond when I had a question about mobile key and checkout. If you’re considering GO..

This is an interesting experience. More of an Airbnb than a hotel as there is no reception. I miss the human experience. I felt that adding an app to my phone and the thousand text messages from an automated system detracted from the experience. I was frustrated that there was supposed to be breakfast but no instructions on how to find it. Look, the room was fantastic and the rate through expedia more than fare. Maybe this allows stuff like this to be cheaper, but the execution needs work.

Very odd with no staff and communication can be challenging. That said, the property is beautiful and rooms are excellent - great amenities and spacious layout.

I asked them earlierr to kindly have my room prepared and ready by 1 since i was arriving from a 9 hour drive. And they delivered!!. When checking out you have to be careful that u have all ur stuff packed first since theres no front office workers and youll be locked out ur room. Thanfully house keeping was near to assist me

Be aware that it is fully automated. You’ll have to download an app to get your key. That’s not a big deal but there were multiple issues, several hours after downloaded the key stopped working. Had to call a “property number” and leave a message. Got no response until 20 minutes later, once I had already figured out how to get a manual key myself and got in My room, I heard a knock at my door. Ten minutes later got a text saying a security guard was at my door to see if I’d gotten in my room. Total time from time key stopped working until security guard came was 45 minutes. Also the breakfast is a five minute car ride which is fine but I couldn’t find anywhere or get a person to actually tell me where to go for the breakfast - had to drive around for 15 minutes after searching the actual hotel first. Excessive texts from “Ivy” thr personal hotel concierge. Hot water in shower is only lukewarm. TV kept “going out” where the screen went bank for several minutes at a time. On the positive - large room, very clean, comfortable bed. Coffee and kitchen available in room. Plenty of towels, blankets. The breakfast was standard but good.

Everything was soooooo good. Since it is no one at a front desk, etc you have to do everything it says step by step.

Had issues getting into room due to tge contactless method. The front door of hotel was not a problem, but apparently room locks “fall asleep” and are a little more difficult to connect to your phone. Contacting an actual person was a bit frustrating, but eventually I got someone and she walked me through “sleeping “ lock issue. The virtual assistant Ivy was non-responsive.

The most frustrating part was the contactless entry. We waited long after 3pm to finally receive any entry code. After multiple attempts to call someone for help or to check the room status there was no way to reach an actual person to help us with our problems. After finally entering the building we went to enter the room and the app for contactless entry was not working for a long period of time. I tried going to the kiosk to get a card to enter that way and the kiosk was not working properly I could not get a card to register to the room. I went back up to the room and still could not get the app to work so I went back down stairs to ask one of the cleaning ladies if she could help me and she told me she did not speak English. This was extremely frustrating and the worst part of my stay. I then went back up to the room and tried the same thing to enter the room then it finally worked and I got in. I had to make another trip to my car to get more luggage and when I tried to get back in the room the same problem was happening. After 20 minutes of standing at the door trying to get in it finally worked. I left later that evening and came back to have the same problem again and tried another 15 minutes until it finally worked and I got in the room. The hotel was nice, clean, and spacious but not having a person there to help with the complications we were having was very very frustrating. That reason only would make me not want to stay there.

Overall we love this place and have stayed many times. This time we did not have any AC. After the first night we sent "Ivy" a message at 8am. We were gone until 5pm and there was still no response. We did not want another hot night in the room. There needs to be a better way to contact maintenance. We finally got someone to come out around 6pm but that was after making multiple calls and texting "Ivy" over and over again.

The property was great in all aspects. Great value for the upscale accommodations. There were problems with the key-less entry which could be avoided ( and led to frustration) if the instructions were clearer.

The property was wonderful. The amenities were great. The only complaint was the staff working the breakfast area. Second day there the lady was very rude and unprofessional. Still had 25 min of breakfast time left and she wouldn’t refill certain things hat were out she instead started breaking it down and ignoring the people questioning why like she didn’t understand English.

We appreciated the fact the room was fully equipped and close to Wegman's and other shopping opportunities. We plan to stay there again as our son is attending PDG. Thanks for giving us piece of mind as we were able to be close to him during set up. We will stay at your premises again.

Property well kept, reasonably priced and clean, loved the convenience of area. Loved my stay, slept like a champ.

First time at a staff-less hotel. Felt very new and clean. 10 minute or so drive to downtown Fburg. Family of four felt very comfortable. Didn’t bother with the clubhouse or amenities, as they were a short drive away from actual hotel. Great location close to lots of food and nice grocery store. Beds were extremely comfortable. Will absolutely stay again!

This hotel is at convenient location across the street from Wegmans and a Walmart up the street. I was extremely impressed with our stay! You can tell this place takes pride in making sure everyone has a great stay. I let them know ahead of check in that I wanted we to be on the lowest level possible due to heights and having two young children. They put our room in the perfect spot (205) with no one under us to complain about our toddlers running back and forth. When we go in the room it not only had ample space but it was clean and beautiful. There was multiple usb outlets throughout, washer and dryer, and a dish washer. I saw zero signs of pests. The beds were very comfortable. They made sure the room was stocked with plenty of linen along with dishwasher pods. It also comes with dish ware. Breakfast is at the apartment complex behind the hotel. We weren’t there 3 times and some of the things they serve are Greek yogurt, cheese sticks, fresh fruit, a waffle maker, breakfast empanadas, breakfast taquitos, cereal, bagel, muffins and much more. This breakfast is NOT like other hotels, it’s what you would to a restaurant for. The staff work d wry hard to make the breakfast and keep the area clean. I look forward to staying here again the next time we’re in Fredericksburg!

Excellent room, super clean, great location.

The room is large, clean, upscale & beautiful. We enjoyed the full kitchen and living room. The check in and and check out is easy once you download the virtual key. There is no front desk staff to assist. We gave up trying to find the included breakfast area that is listed as a short walk to the apartment complex. We even walked back, drove over and found a clubhouse but it was locked. It was only 9:15am on the weekend where breakfast was said to be served til 10. We would still stay here again but just bring our own breakfast.

The place was nice. Wish the to-go breakfast would’ve been provided in the building instead of the apartment complex down the way. It was not convenient for busy families. Also, you should provide K-cups for the coffee makers. Washer and dryer was a nice touch.

Spacious room, very clean, near everything, and the pool was amazing! Breakfast was also decent. Would recommend & stay again.

Check in/out effortless. Apartment was spotless and comfortable. Free continental breakfast however you do need to drive to their live in apartment complex - couple blocks. Would definitely return and recommend.
