Beds were not comfortable. Very thin mattress. Our bathroom had a water damaged wall that left a smelly mildew scent in the room. It seemed to flare up my allergies. Outside areas of the hotel were not kept up, overflowing trash cans. I do not think the water park was open, nothing was said about it. The pool was green.

we took a girls trip and stayed here. the place was pretty clean except the outside of the room doors. it is really close to shopping and restaurants. we loved that we could see the bridge from the beach and there's fire pits to have fires on the beach! overall it was a great experience and we will definitely come back to this hotel!

Dirty washcloth hanging in room when we checked in, floor was absolutely disgusting. Pool house was closed. Staff was absolutely wonderful kind and helpful. Place was pretty empty so to put someone above us was unnecessary, they were so very loud. Updated room was nice, gave a cabin feel. View was spectacular. Mixed feelings on this place. We visit different cities for our anniversary each year.

Clean room, nice balcony and great view, beach access great, beach needs some better up keep but good, outlets loose and wouldn’t hold chargers, tv good, WiFi decent, easy walk to ferry transit, ice machine broke down, water park not open even though not listed on website, hallways ok, outside trashes jammed full, nice outdoor fire pits except one over full, worse part was when I called because toilet was flushing right and sink not draining right I was told “what do you want me to do about it?”, she ultimately brought us a plunger but never looked up from her phone outside when giving it to my husband.

The indoor pool and water park were closed. Nothing said they weren't available when booking. Our TV in the room had lines across the screen and a message to contact the cable provider. The bath vent fan didn't work. Pictures on the wall had cracked glass, balcony door has locks, but there's nothing on the frame for the lock to work. We had to pick up our room key at another hotel, but i was called and given instructions- no problem . Great view!

It was nice because it was beach side & near everything. Room was clean. Service was not good we stayed 3 days and never got clean towels even when we asked. The pool and water park were not in service and never told.

There is no current gym or water park on site. Without these items, I think the hotel was overpriced. Room service did not come daily. The gym I was sent to use at the Clarion didn’t have very good equipment. Disappointed for the cost.

The only thing this place has going for it is the view of the water & location. Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Key cards for the room quit working after the lobby was closed. We had to go to the hotel next door to be let into our room. The front desk person over there was very upset at us for this. Dead bugs everywhere, beds were broken & uncomfortable, the floors were filthy to the point my feet were black on the bottom, air conditioner was loud & barely worked, the screen to the balcony is broken & the screen is torn, all of the outlets are loose & nothing will stay plugged in, wifi never worked. The 2nd night of staying we were woken up at 1:30 in the morning by a truck stuck on the beach outside our balcony. We called the front desk twice, nothing was ever done. The only thing this place had going for it was the view of the water. Until of course this truck got stuck.

i loved talking to trish in the lobby everyday! she's such a positive and happy person to encounter each and every day. wish the pool and the ice machine had been working. things happen and it didn't deter from the great time i had.

Ww checked into the hotel and ten minutes later checked back out. The room especially the bathroom wasn’t clean and there was black mold throughout the room. My daughter is allergic and had an immediate reaction. The clerk gave us another room to stay in but it also had mold growing in the bathroom. The front desk clerk gave us a refund and booked us into another hotel at the same price. Patricia was very nice about the whole situation which I appreciated.

Checked in quite late and staff was friendly. Wasn’t shown what building our room was in, so we wandered around until we found it. Room didn’t look like it had been occupied for a while. Turned on the A/C and a bunch of bugs flew out. There were cobwebs in the corners of most walls/ceilings. There was a very large garden spider living in the sink drain, web and all. The sink was dirty and the toilet seat wasn’t cleaned. This was a room that has not been updated unlike their water view rooms and it definitely needs an update. We thought the shower rod was going to fall off the wall, so because of that and the bugs we decided not to take showers. It was nice that we could leave our car there while we went to Mackinac Island for the morning.

First room had mold on the wall second room had a dirty microwave and refrigerator. The balcony had cigarette buts and a beer can. Tv was disconected from cable. Reconnected it to find out batteries wete dead in the remote. Went to call the office and the phone cord was disconnected couldnt plug it in because it was the wrong cord it didnt fit.

We were not aware that we had to check in at a different hotel to check in. Luckily, we went to the wrong hotel originally and he told me. The outside needs cleaned up, sand needs to be cleaned off the patio, feces was on the outside of the toilet upon arrival, noy enough towels for our four guests, bathroom had holes in the wall, floor was dirty, molding along wall/floor. View of the beach was great and the young lady who checked us in and out was super sweet!

The room was remodeled but floors were very dirty. It had a musty smell. We used a room deodorizer while there. The television didnt connect to wifi. Pillows were not comfy. Moldy shower head and baseboards were detaching in the bathroom. Bathroom shower curtain was old and dirty. Towels were not provided until we went to ask for fresh ones.The balcony was dirty with spider webs everywhere. Stairways were not well lit. The only nice thing was the beach view.

Pleasantly surprised that our room had a balcony. Nice updates. Overall great spot to stay right on the lake. The beds and pillows are so-so, but I slept just fine. Our family really enjoyed this spot! Excellent value and cost.

Bad experience. Would not recommend. Shower head was spraying water out of shower, sink plugged, AC did not work, floor leaves your feet black, plugs hanging out of wall, hair on towels. Called to have maintenance come to fix shower and was told there was only 2 maintenance guys and numerous properties so there would be no ETA on when they could get there. (They never ended up showing up). Don’t let the pictures fool you. This is not a clean hotel. I will say staff was friendly and it was quick check-in/check out. The view is also nice from the balcony. If only the balcony was clean enough to sit out on and enjoy.

The room was very nice clean. Need some updates all the plugins were so loose trying to plug into your devices the plugs wouldn't stay in the wall. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. But all in all it was a good couple of days stay. Bed was pretty comfy room was very clean. The View was beautiful of the lake.

This wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed at but it definitely needs some work!! If we hadn't been paying lower off season rates we probably would have requested a refund and found other lodging. They are in the process of renovations which I understand. But the bathroom exhaust fan didn't work, the patio doors were filthy, the shower head had very little pressure and then proceeded to leak when we tried to adjust the spray option, the outlets are so loose that our phone chargers kept just falling out and there wasn't even a t.p. roll holder, it had to sit on the bathroom sink. Trish at the desk was friendly, we had no issues with check in, we had plenty of towels and the view of the water was great. We were only in our room to sleep so we didn't go through the hassle of requesting a different room. With so many other options in the area they really need to renovate their rooms in order to stay competitive.

Nice property with a good view of the beach. Room was very nice and freshly remodeled. The only issues I had were my tv did not work at all. And the splash pad/ waterpark area was closed. Overall we had a nice stay at the property.

You can tell they are in the middle of updating this hotel. Room looked nice at first. Smelled cleaned and after doing the usual hotel room checks for critters things seemed good. Then we started to settle in and found numerous problems. The three outlets I did use are loose. I had the straighten out the tv cables to get the tv to have video, only had audio. Broken drawer in dresser. We had an adjoining room and tv in other room did not work at all. Shower was luck warm so a bath was out of the question, no deadlock in the entryway, adjoining room had no outside door if there was a fire in my side they would not have been able to get out!!!Check in was aggravating to say the least, staff was nice but no one seemed to know how to navigate the computer system and it took 25 mins to get checked in with having a paid reservation. Sign in lobby door say go to a neighboring hotel to get your key, (then we were given only 1 key), that just dumb! If you can’t have a front desk you should not be open! They need to close down and get things in order first. Over heard a phone call one room didn’t even have a shower curtain… They are not ready for business at all!!!!!!! Not impressed with my purchase though you at all……

Sign in lobby door say go to a neighboring hotel to get your key, (then we were given only 1 key), that just dumb! If you can’t have a front desk you should not be open! They need to close down and get things in order first. Over heard a phone call one room didn’t even have a shower curtain… They are not ready for business at all!!!!!!! Not impressed with my purchase though you at all……

I can not say enough good things about my stay. The front desk ladies were so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the view exceptional!!! I was greeted by the beautiful sunrise from my own patio. Breathtaking!! In my opinion the location was perfect. Close to everything without having to deal with the traffic of being on the “strip”. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Called the number on the note, was told they didn't handle check INS for that property. They directed us to a third property, who made a phone call or 2 and directed us right back to the first property. All of this at 2AM. Went to check out, office was locked. Went back in the room, dropped the key and left.

One of the ladies in the office was sooo super nice and friendly. She even let us check in early. The other lady was not so friendly. I wouldn't say she was rotten l, just not very friendly. I do wish however that we would have gotten a bottom room. It was a lot of stairs to climb on top of the activities we did. Either way was fine though. Looks like remodeled/updated rooms.

First of all when we arrived there was no one in the lobby to check us in, had to go next door to the quality inn to get our room. Room was ok but the next morning when we were ready to check out again no one in lobby plus no one in the lobby at the quality inn, note on door stating they opened at 7am and it was 715am and there was no one there, ended up going back to room and leaving the key there. Would not recommend staying there obviously they don't understand the meaning of customer service

When I checked in I walked up to my room door being open. I assumed it was from the cleaning crew before we got there and ignored it. However the next day we went to the island and came back to our door being open again. Nothing had been taken but we were sure to latch the door when we left. It says on the website that you need to request housekeeping, which I didn’t do. I was obviously very freaked out bc all of my belongings were in that room and there was absolutely no reason they should have been in my room while we were gone. I went and talked to the front desk and they said that it was likely housekeeping thinking it was an empty room and then they turned around when they noticed it was occupied and as long as none of my stuff was taken they wouldn’t do anything. But if they accidentally went in there, why didn’t housekeeping make sure to shut my door? I felt really unsafe knowing that my door was open for no reason for an unknown amount of time and the employees didn’t seem to care. There were also no cameras on the property which did not help the feeling of uneasiness.

The room was beachfront and the view was beautiful. Every morning there was a beautiful sunrise! The ferry to Mackinac Island was a 4 minute walk which was very convenient so we didn’t have to drive and pay for parking. The room had been upgraded and was very nice and roomy. It was clean but it could use a deep clean. The hot water was a little tricky, a couple of times in the early morning (6:30) it wasn’t hot but wait awhile then it was hot. I tried calling the front desk to get more towels and didn’t get through to anyone but I did finally get more towels. When I checked in the staff was very friendly and when I stopped in to talk to them they were friendly and helpful. We stayed for 5 nights and we did enjoy our stay there. Overall for the price and the location I would stay again.

The room exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful! The view of the lake was breathtaking when I opened the door. Staff was friendly and check-in/check-out was easy. Love that this hotel was within walking/driving distance to all of the wonderful things Mackinaw City has to offer. Will definitely be back to stay of this lovely hotel.

Stayed one night at this property. Conveniently located walking distance to the Ferry. Property allowed us to park before check-in as we arrived early to go to Mackinac Island for the day. Lady at check in desk was very kind, helpful and personable. Visually the room was clean and tidy, appeared to have recent renovation for the room walls and flooring. Clean bathrooms and towels. Sheets and bedding appeared clean. Stayed on ground level and had a nice view of the beach. Porch and outdoor chairs were clean. Some of the outlets were not working which wasn’t the end of the world for us. The beach could have used some cleaning up. It had a noticeable amount of animal droppings that we had to watch our steps walking out to the water, some beverage cans littering the area. The beach front could have used some grooming, tidying of beach chairs from previous use, but the water was clear and fresh and the view was pretty amazing. Worked for us for a short trip. Would stay again.

Staff was friendly, when we talked to them once at check in and at check out. There were several things that we weren’t made aware of before booking. No microwave, no ice bucket, no wash cloths or hand towels. Only 2 bath towels for the 4 of us, which sadly is normal for hotels now it seems. Only one small trash can in bathroom. We used grocery bags to collect our trash and took our own trash out to the cans in the halls. There were 2 ice machines, 1 of which was out of order and since everyone had to share the one that did work, it rarely had ice in it. Screen was busted so we kept it closed most of the trip to keep bugs out and kept the air on. Would have been nice to catch the lake breeze more often. Limited pillows, 3 per bed, and 1 we tossed in the floor due to being dirty at check in. Very limited outlets. Had to unplug lamps and alarm clock to make room for 3 chargers. There was no info given at check in. We had to call for the WiFi password. WiFi was really spotty. The splash pad was not turned on, no answer from the desk when I called. Fire alarm went off at 4 pm with a dead battery and called with no answer. Just ended up taking it down. Overall not having a microwave alone would be the reason we won’t stay again. We spent so much more than we wanted to for takeout at the pricey tourist restaurants because we couldn’t heat up our hot dogs, ramen cups, leftover pizza from our first night, etc…With what we spent in food we could have paid for a nicer hotel.

I just DO NOT recomend for any price, not worth at all for a number af reasons i just list some, the office was close i had to pickup the keys from neighbor hotel, no breakfast, i reserved a premium room for which i payed extra ended in just a regular room, consider mosquito will be your best friend and companion for the night, the only good thing i enjoyed the morning view as the room was lake view, but overall i will not use this hotel again and dont recomend untill they update thier custom services (travel date 09/08/2023)

We liked that it had a balcony looking at the beach of Lake Huron. However, other guests were smoking pot and the smell just lingered on the outdoor patio…like wafted from other patios! I don’t think this should be allowed. Couldn’t enjoy sitting out there. The fireworks could be viewed from there too, but not only was my morn coffee patio time shortened but couldn’t stand the smell for fireworks either! Breakfast was off site but we got a coupon.

We had a 2 night stay, it was perfect for what we needed. Only to sleep. We were out most of the day. If you’re coming here expecting all the amenities, go to a resort or a better funded hotel. The location is super close to the strip, about a 3 minute drive, right next to the ferry terminal too. The room had a smell of fresh wood they had just renovated with which was fine, staff in the morning and night was attentive and answered any questions and gave recommendations on where to eat. If you could get this room between $70-$90 a night in the summer then it’s a steal compared to the other spots nearby. The beach is right outside the rooms, the rooms are pretty spacious, beds are so-so, tv is small, water pressure is great, doesn’t smell like mold or musk. I’d stay here 10 out of 10 times because I stay at places on a budget and splurge on things to do, If you’re like me, I think this spot would be perfect for you!

The checkin was easy and the staff so friendly even suggested local places to eat! Our room was spotless though a little dated but the bed was comfy! Now my favorite part the 2 second walk to the sand beach on Lake Huron with fire pits and a firework show!!

Great location to Arnold Ferry. Stayed Saturday night and fireworks we lit from Arnold ferry dock so we had a great view from our balcony. Beds hard, pillows soft, room was clean except for the floor. It was really dirty. Felt like there was a thin layer of black dirt on it. Our feet looked like we were running thru a field. Overall it was nice. I would stay again. Didn't use the pool or other amenities.

We had rooms on the first floor and were kept awake by the people in the room above us. It sounded like they were jumping on the bed and then on the uncarpeted floor. We stayed two nights and happened both nights. The rooms were adequate, however they were not ready for us at the 4 PM check in. We had to wait another 45 minutes. Air Con worked but the rooms were incredibly cool and damp. The towels never dried from the day before. Everything felt cool and clam-y.
