Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Oklahoma City Airport

The property itself had great services and accommodations… Great room, great breakfast!! On the downside there is limited parking, which forces you to park at the hotel next door which is rundown.

Convenient location off I-40. Stayed here many times before, quiet and kitchen is a plus. No ice machines that I could locate. Need to have Ice if you are going to have a kitchen.

Hotel was great but parking lot was lowkey sus.

Had a really good stay. Only things that did not work were the ice machines and elevators. Other then that I would stay again.

Parking lots tend to fill up rapidly, and there are several individuals experiencing homelessness who are frequently seen in the vicinity.

The Gym is a joke. It is filthy and has no water or towels, so it has tiny, dirty carpets in the hallways.

Our reservation was with the Hawthorne but our room was in the Biltmore adjoining which is under renovation. No phone, can't call front desk when help is needed. Key won't open door. Pool was closed. Power outage one day in our room. Biltmore rates were $49.99 but we were charged over $100 as our reservation was for Hawthorne. LOTS of flies and gnats. No hot water most of the time, no water at all part of the tome. Front desk staff was awesome. Breakfast staff very good as was breakfast. Was told beds are new, maybe but they are hard, pillows were terrible. Maintenance staff & Security were very kind, we became very acquainted. Came to be with friends, that part was excellant.

Upon inspection of my room I found several pieces of long and short hairs in my bed. I called the front desk and requested that my linen be changed. While the staff changed my sheets, they complained and spoke about me in Spanish. As if I could not understand. I did. I found it to be very rude and unprofessional. Judging me bc of an error the staff made. There so much stray hairs it made too question if the room was properly cleaned between guests. The breakfast they offered wasn’t half bad. I will also say the area this hotel is in is a bit sketchy. There is a lot of unhoused individuals rooming the near properties and the parking lot. The parking is limited as well. Good luck after 10 PM!

It was clean, peaceful, and comfortable

Check in was easy, room was spotless and breakfast was fantastic! Excellent value for the money.

The room had a stinch, the carpet was filthy, the couch was filthy, it was absolutely disgusting!

Carpets in hallway are very, very dirty and stained on what appears to be fairly new carpet. Same with the bedroom. Made my friend’s feet turn black and they had to be washed off in the shower. Only one elevator worked. Limited parking. The hotel is built in front of an old hotel that appears to be falling down and can only be seen if you drive around the side of the front entrance.

In short, our room had bed bugs, TV didn't work, noisy highway along with noisy rooms we left shortly after checking in. Not a great experience we would like to remember. Haven't received a refund yet at the time of submitting this review.

The staff is lovely and room very clean

This hotel exceeded my expectations for the money. GREAT VALUE! Check in was easy, breakfast was good, rooms were clean and beds were comfy. What more could one ask for?!

Our TV did not work from the moment we arrived. Sent maintenance man to look at, he was frustrated from the start because the TV had previous problems,. He left to get a tool. When we returned for the night nothing had been fixed or replaced. The next morning we were offered $10 refund, then they decided Expedia had to issue the refund. Not impressed with how our concern was handled. I’m sure we won’t ever see a dime of refund.

The towels were very soft and the bed was comfortable. The tv did not work and one of the pendant lights flickered on and off. Most importantly the sliding door to the bathroom didn’t cover the entire opening, which prevented total privacy.

The rooms definitely are not sound proof. The main thing I liked was the chair and ottoman in one of the corners.

Great place to stay. Tends to get loud at night with all the traffic next door.

No curtain over windows. A thin screen no, put curtains up! I felt totally exposed to the interstate. Int FULL curtains are in rooms, really not planning to stay again.

The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable! And pet friendly! Right off the interstate, so super convenient and can't hear any traffic. I traveled with frozen food, so having the full size fridge/freezer was great. And good rates for how nice the rooms are. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hot breakfast was included with a variety of options- very salty, but good overall. I would absolutely stay here again.

My keys never worked. Whenever I left I would have to get new keys. Also, the window leaked into the room when it rained. And blind had water stain all over it.

The property and room were great, very nice and pretty new. New barn door style bathroom door without lock so no complete privacy if you want it. Very close to outlet mall and on I-40 so a LOT of panhandler homeless people around the area but didn't have any in hotel. Not an upscale clientele but no problems either. Price was incredibly good.

After talking to the front desk, being dismissed after saying they’ll solve it or give another room again, saying I “have time” since I’m staying 3 days, attempts to call the room to tell me they can’t help me, and finally after going back down to the front desk again and not budging, only then were they able to procure another tv and had it installed in under 10. The desk workers were horrible, but the second maintenance man that came was great and nice, inspite of being strapped. Regardless, pay maintenance more.

The staff members have been extremely rude to me it seems like every interaction I've had with them has been negative for no reason other than the staff members attitude and how they acted towards me, and I have been staying here quite frequently here recently. Yesterday morning this staff member starts saying saying something to me in Spanish which I am not fluent in and I told her that I dont understand what she was saying, and then she immediately starts taking the breakfast foods out if ny hands and off if my plate and I couldn't even tell you why ir what was happening, I had to get another staff member to tell me what she was saying to me, which turned out to be asking me if i have a room here, and when i didnt give her the answer that she wanted, she started taking my breakfast away and throwing it into the trash assuming that i didnt have a riom here. Most recently I was talking to the front desk about another issue I've been having between hotels.com and the property, the desk clerk was incredibly rude and belligerent with me and instead of trying to explain the issue to me or try to help me to understand what it was, and when I asked to talk to her supervisor she said that I would have to come down to the front desk to do that and then she hung up on me, I just keep having problems after problem here for no reason if ny doing at all. I don't have lots of people in my room, I don't bother anybody, I don't have any type of traffic coming in and out, it's just me.

I loved the staff was so friendly and helpful for any of my needs or concerns. This is the best hotel stay I have had

Wonderful stay, and the front desk gentleman, Keiren, was super accommodating when we arrived at 2 am. The place was very clean, and breakfast was delicious!

This was a great location for anyone traveling through the OKC area on I40.

When we first arrived (at 2:30 am after a delayed flight) we thought the area looked a little sketchy. But the staff was great, the bed was very comfy, and all was clean. We’d stay again.

Hotel next door was a crack house. People coming and going all hours of the night from a room. Police came a few times. Very questionable individuals

The inside of this hotel is fantastic and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. However, it is in a terrible part of town--there were drug addicts arguing in the parking lot and coming indoors to harass the staff while we were checking in and all the doors are locked after 8 or 9pm. There's a convenience store nearby where homeless panhandle (totally fine) but drug addicts congregate (not fine) and we had to arm ourselves to get to and from our vehicle because ruffians were harassing me and my child. There's also a rundown motel/liquor store next door and an adult video store across the street with big neon lights advertising all day and night. It is a fantastic hotel but simply not in a location that is safe or family-friendly.

Did not stay because the area is terrible. This hotel has people roaming the parking lot, a homeless encampment next to it and is surrounded by a hotel called “The Biltmore” that has people living in it, loitering outside and most are obvious drug users. Completely unsafe area and do not recommend anyone stay here. Terrible choice of placement for this hotel. We had to find another hotel and chose the Fairmont in Brick Town. It was nice, quiet, clean and has a great breakfast.

The property was clean. It is located 10 minutes from the airport.

We were pleased with everything related to the hotel - the check-in/out, staff, room, cleanliness and the breakfast. We were not comfortable with the area around the hotel (especially after-dark); there are homeless people close-by and some people who were not hotel guests in the parking lot nearby. This is not something under the control of the hotel - OKC has to deal with it.

Very nice hotel with large rooms and full kitchen with fridge and microwave. Parking lot was VERY well lit. I have absolutely nothing to say negative about the hotel itself. However the area around the hotel made me feel unsafe. Went to gas station across the street and there was group of people filling bags up with stuff and walking out. Also a lot of people on foot and on the street in that area. Kind of surprised that this nice of a hotel was in this area but again nothing negative about the actual hotel.

The hotel itself was just fine, but the area around it was full of people doing drugs and just “hanging around” all hours of the day. This was the first time I ever felt the need to check and see if my car was still in the lot in the morning. The hotel is walkable to several nearby restaurants but I wouldn’t recommend walking even a block in the area. We tried and did not feel comfortable or safe at all. It’s unfortunate because the hotel was actually nice and a good value, but the hotel beside Hawthorn that appeared to be vacant seems to be a magnet for unwanted foot traffic and behavior. They also lock the lobby at 8pm with no access without a room key card which confirmed to us that the hotel wasn’t in a very safe area. Woke up one morning and went to get something out of my car and there was a hoard of officers and fire trucks outside handling someone from the vacant-looking hotel next door.

They offered eggs, bacon, waffles, bagels, toast, biscuits and gravy. They had coffee, orange juice and apple juice.

Overall very good. Not pleased with breakfast. Food not that great but what I disliked most was at 15 min before it was to stop serving they were removing the items. On Saturday they did not keep food stocked. I asked to have forks, orange juice etc. By 9:45 they were cleaning up even thought it was posted breakfast till 10.
