We had a bit of a rocky start with the hotel as the parking was incorrectly listed on the posting which was one of the driving factors for selecting the hotel. However the staff was attentive and provided as much information as they good and complimentary champagne. It was also an abnormally hot day and our room on the top floor was almost 30 degrees. The staff attempted to cool it down but since they were unable to they upgraded our room. The signature rooms are absolutely stunning and we ended up having a great stay. The staff handled the challenges with professionalism and care. In addition the breakfast in our room was amazing. Would stay here again!

This hotel is a real gem. Every room is unique with its own theme based on historic Dutch figures. It was hard for me to choose a room for our 2-night stay so welcomed the fact that when we arrived we were told there was a problem with the TV (not that we came to watch TV) and because of this we were offered a different room for the first night. We were more than happy to do so as it meant we experienced two of their beautiful rooms. We also spent a morning in the private spa. Also recommended. It’s free and you just have to reserve an hour.

The owner chose 13 Danish noblemen and decorated a room for each nobleman. Each room has a painting of the nobleman with his contemporaries that depicts his vocation. We were on the 3rd floor in the P. C. Hooft room. P. C. Hooft was an historian, poet and playwright who lived in from March 16, 1581 to May 21, 1647. Our room contained a bookcase, notes and a writing desk. The staff was extremely accommodating, ensuring every need, desire and whim was met. Breakfast was included and featured Dutch pancakes, which were delicious! The one downside for this hotel is that you need to be willing to climb/descend original staircases, which may pose issues for people with physical disabilities.

Would highly recommend this hotel. The Noblemen is directly on one of the canals in a very convenient location for access to many of the commonly visited tourism sites. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were served in room and delicious. The hotel does not have an elevator and the stairs are beautiful, but might be an issue for someone with mobility issues.

Great staff and fabulous breakfast. No elevator and 50 stairs to get to the room. Lacks storage space. Refrigerator is tiny and cools poorly. Toilet is loud. City tax is much higher than what I was led to believe by Expedia.

Most uncomfortable beds ever. No lift, so if the manager is not here you have to lug your suitcases up yourself. Rooms are beautiful to look at, but no place to put a suitcase (only on the floor), the bathrooms are tiny with dark lights so forget makeup application. Morning breakfast was excellent. Except for museum-like experience, not recommended for more than one night and one suitcase.

The staff was absolutely amazing. The rooms are immaculate and the environment is quite peaceful. We weren’t able to enjoy all amenities offered as we had a busy schedule, but we enjoyed our stay. Very comfy beds. Will surely choose this hotel again.

From the minute we arrived, the staff at Hotel the Noblemen made us feel welcome. They made sure to stay in contact about the status of our room prior to check in, and were able to help book a taxi for our ride to the airport. The room itself was spotless, and we will be staying again when we come back to Amsterdam.

The hotel is in a great area for walking. Our room,Abel Tasman, was very clean with a beautiful view of the serene outdoor garden. The bathroom is very small! There was no communication from the hotel prior to arriving other than an option for online check in. Upon check in a deposit was taken on credit card and a breakfast menu was given to chose what you want and what time to be delivered. I loved that they had gluten free options. They showed us to the room and gave a brief instruction on the room’s features. They have no lift but helped bring up our luggage. I did not feel the staff was overly friendly and they offered no suggestions for things to do, restaurants, etc. The breakfast was lovely but when we asked to fill out the card for the next day they said our choices were for the entire stay. We needed to leave early for airport so they said we could get a juice, fruit and health bar to go. No one would be available to make a breakfast to be delivered to our room before 8:00. We had to leave our luggage down stairs the night before because they said desk person would not be there until 7:45. Adam the manager arranged addition of bread and cheese for our “To Go” breakfast but if he weren’t there we would not have gotten even that! They sent an email for check out online and when I tried to discuss that there was an issue upon leaving the desk person said I had to discuss with manager. They charged my card for something I already paid for and now I have to dispute it.

Amazing hotel, great location, super friendly and attentive staff, room was spotless, the breakfast set you up for walking round the city in the day, highly recommend and so glad we chose this hotel. Believe me when I go somewhere I have gone through almost every review for every hotel before I select, this came out too for what we wanted

This boutique hotel is unlike any we've ever seen. The rooms are exquisite, comfortable, unique and full of typical amenities that are placed in ways that carry through the theme of each room. The staff is kind, knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious. We loved it!

Beautiful and unique hotel concept in Amsterdam. I loved the room and reception areas. I did not like the bathtub in a box or the very masculine and aggressive mural of De Groot (a nobleman of Holland) on the WHOLE CEILING. It contributed to a kind of strange feeling in the room despite the otherwise lovely interior. Lighting an vanity in the bathroom were nearly unusable--very dark and did not drain well. Toilet was a bit finnicky. Shower was great. Breakfast served in the AM was absolutely incredible and impressive. A real treat!

This is an extremely unique property. It is truly a boutique hotel in a convenient location in Amsterdam. It is a very old building and our rooms were m had a personal story completely with furnishings to match. We even had our own private garden!! We had a custom breakfast made each day with a terrific variety of items. It was delivered to our room each day! The staff was so professional and accommodating. If you’re looking for something very unique I would highly recommend it.

Great location for a first timer in Amsterdam. We walked everywhere. Breakfast delivered to your room every morning is a great way to start the day. The bed was big and comfortable, as was the shower. The staff were excellent. You’ll enjoy your stay at Hotel The Noblemen.

Quirky place. Room comfortable but quite cramped with chairs, table etc. No other space to relax. Aircon noisy which is a shame as it was around freezing outside. Breakfast is only served in the room and must be ordered before 1900h. We arrived late due to long flight delays and there was nothing the staff could do to assist with food although we eventually found a sandwich bar a few streets away. Handy for most attractions in Amsterdam.

Once the shock of no a/c wore off, the rest of the stay was 10/10. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. A huge breakfast was served in bed every morning. By far the most unique hotel we have stayed in, with each room styled to reflect a historical figure (a Nobleman). I do have to reiterate as an American used to keeping the room at 68° F, it was a shock to be in a room that at times was in the upper 70’s, but on our second day we bought a small fan to point at the bed and from then on the stay was very comfortable. I would stay here again any time.

The look and feel of the rooms is unique. Antiques, hidden drawers, a bit of history lesson and a huge painting on the ceiling. Every detail in the room is planned in such a way to transport you to another era. The only thing that is missing is a bit more lighting. An extra lamp perhaps, or less directional sconces…? The location is perfect, the breakfast delivered to the room each morning was delicious and beatifully served- and I was immensely grateful for the umbrelas that the hotel lent us for the duration of our stay!!!

Stunning hotel with a lovely sauna in the basement. Staff very helpful. Only downside was the breakfast, which is delivered to the room. Our room was very cramped so trying to eat on the bed was not ideal. Great otherwise

We had a bit of a rocky start with the hotel as the parking was incorrectly listed on the posting which was one of the driving factors for selecting the hotel. However the staff was attentive and provided as much information as they good and complimentary champagne. It was also an abnormally hot day and our room on the top floor was almost 30 degrees. The staff attempted to cool it down but since they were unable to they upgraded our room. The signature rooms are absolutely stunning and we ended up having a great stay. The staff handled the challenges with professionalism and care. In addition the breakfast in our room was amazing. Would stay here again!

The staff was absolutely amazing. The rooms are immaculate and the environment is quite peaceful. We weren’t able to enjoy all amenities offered as we had a busy schedule, but we enjoyed our stay. Very comfy beds. Will surely choose this hotel again.

Our brief stay at the Noblemen was definitely too short, it's an extraordinary and eloquent property tucked away in the center of town! The staff represents a gold standard of service, and one of the things we particularly loved was the included room service breakfast. A full menu to preorder from the night before and then brought to your room at your desired time...we can 't say enough about the beautiful presentation and quality of the food. You gotta try the mini pancakes with lemon curd; fresh juices, croissants , meats, cheeses, coffee choices etc!! You can walk to the museums and shops and restaurants very easily...just make sure to have your phone charged up for the maps, lots of canals and bridges to get you mixed up. Did I mention this is a 400 year old building with some of the most gorgeous marble and artifacts, stunning! Our room was on the first floor with a private garden, outstanding, I believe one of Amsterdam's finest. Quick shout-out to Jim at the front desk for a history lesson about the building and making sure that we were aware of all the amenities available in the room :)

From the minute we arrived, the staff at Hotel the Noblemen made us feel welcome. They made sure to stay in contact about the status of our room prior to check in, and were able to help book a taxi for our ride to the airport. The room itself was spotless, and we will be staying again when we come back to Amsterdam.

Unique rooms, staff went above and beyond. Fantastic walkable quiet canal, honestly one of the most beautiful one. The rooms were equipped nicely with hidden features, pop up flatscreens from the foot of the bed to stocked mini fridges. There was even a Dyson hairdryer. The complementary breakfast was amazing! See photos. Will definitely return next time we are in Amsterdam.

The hotel is in a great area for walking. Our room,Abel Tasman, was very clean with a beautiful view of the serene outdoor garden. The bathroom is very small! There was no communication from the hotel prior to arriving other than an option for online check in. Upon check in a deposit was taken on credit card and a breakfast menu was given to chose what you want and what time to be delivered. I loved that they had gluten free options. They showed us to the room and gave a brief instruction on the room’s features. They have no lift but helped bring up our luggage. I did not feel the staff was overly friendly and they offered no suggestions for things to do, restaurants, etc. The breakfast was lovely but when we asked to fill out the card for the next day they said our choices were for the entire stay. We needed to leave early for airport so they said we could get a juice, fruit and health bar to go. No one would be available to make a breakfast to be delivered to our room before 8:00. We had to leave our luggage down stairs the night before because they said desk person would not be there until 7:45. Adam the manager arranged addition of bread and cheese for our “To Go” breakfast but if he weren’t there we would not have gotten even that! They sent an email for check out online and when I tried to discuss that there was an issue upon leaving the desk person said I had to discuss with manager. They charged my card for something I already paid for and now I have to dispute it.

Amazing hotel, great location, super friendly and attentive staff, room was spotless, the breakfast set you up for walking round the city in the day, highly recommend and so glad we chose this hotel. Believe me when I go somewhere I have gone through almost every review for every hotel before I select, this came out too for what we wanted

The hotel is so lovely and unique. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel so welcome. Really close to shops, cafes etc. would definitely recommend and come and visit again.

Would highly recommend this hotel. The Noblemen is directly on one of the canals in a very convenient location for access to many of the commonly visited tourism sites. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were served in room and delicious. The hotel does not have an elevator and the stairs are beautiful, but might be an issue for someone with mobility issues.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Amsterdam in a very chic area. Beautiful details in the room and hotel and very friendly and helpful staff. We loved the breakfast every day which was delicious. It is not a big hotel and the room is not huge but it had everything we needed and beautiful decor. The location is perfect. Would stay again.

Amazing property! We could not have asked for a better experience. Starting at the personalized check in all the way through checkout. Breakfast service exceeded my expectations! Food was delicious and the coffee was always hot. Highly recommend!

This is an extremely unique property. It is truly a boutique hotel in a convenient location in Amsterdam. It is a very old building and our rooms were m had a personal story completely with furnishings to match. We even had our own private garden!! We had a custom breakfast made each day with a terrific variety of items. It was delivered to our room each day! The staff was so professional and accommodating. If you’re looking for something very unique I would highly recommend it.

What an awesome hotel! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and they made cappuccinos or lattes whenever you desired free of charge! I would definitely stay there again !

This hotel is situated in a perfect and quiet area. Right in the center of everything and a 15min walk to just about anything. The historic features of this hotel are quite spectacular and the breakfast is amazing especially since they bring it to your room. Don’t forget to enjoy the bathtub as well.

Breakfast is only served in the room and must be ordered before 1900h. We arrived late due to long flight delays and there was nothing the staff could do to assist with food although we eventually found a sandwich bar a few streets away. Handy for most attractions in Amsterdam.

Un peu cher pour ce que c est. Pas de lobby, boutique hôtel mais plutôt chambre à louer car tout se passe dans la chambre, pour 1 we ça peut aller mais pour plus de jours pas très agréable. Sinon les chambres sont grande, personnel agréable.

We stayed at The Noblemen from Thursday, 23 July, to Sunday, 26 July, in the Louys and Hendrick Trip Signature Room. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The room was beautiful, and the bed was comfortable, although we found the pillows too large and firm for our preference. As our room faced the canal, there was also quite a lot of outside noise, and the soundproofing could have been better. We ended up buying earplugs to ensure a good night’s sleep. We follow a plant-based and gluten-free diet, so the breakfast selection was somewhat limited. The portions also felt a little small for two people. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming and service-minded, and they did their best to accommodate our dietary requirements. Before our arrival, I mentioned that my husband would be celebrating his 60th birthday during our stay and asked whether they might be able to make the breakfast that morning a little special. A highlight of our stay was the private spa in the basement. When booked, you have the entire spa area to yourself, which made the experience feel peaceful and exclusive. We enjoyed the sauna, Turkish hammam, multi-jet shower & bathtub. It was a relaxing experience that we recommend. Despite a few areas that could be improved, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the unique atmosphere of the hotel.
We stayed at The Noblemen from Thursday, 23 July, to Sunday, 26 July, in the Louys and Hendrick Trip Signature Room. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The room was beautiful, and the bed was comfortable, although we found the pillows too large and firm for our preference. As our room faced the canal, there was also quite a lot of outside noise, and the soundproofing could have been better. We ended up buying earplugs to ensure a good night’s sleep. We follow a plant-based and gluten-free diet, so the breakfast selection was somewhat limited. The portions also felt a little small for two people. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming and service-minded, and they did their best to accommodate our dietary requirements. Before our arrival, I mentioned that my husband would be celebrating his 60th birthday during our stay and asked whether they might be able to make the breakfast that morning a little special.
