Ein schön renoviertes Haus aus der Glanzzeit der österreichischen Riviera mit hervorragender Lage und fantastischem Frühstücksbuffet. Bei Schlechtwetter kann man den Meerwasserpool sowie Sauna und Dampfbad nutzen.

This was the most wonderful stay in an elegant hotel along the Croatian Riviera. Our room was sumptuous and luxurious, tastefully decorated with a stunning view over the bay. We had a balcony where we could sit and take in the view, the bed was very comfortable indeed and we had all the provisions we needed, including bathrobes and slippers for the lovely pool and spa. We had a friendly welcome on arrival and we could park our car on a meter outside which was free after 8pm. The breakfast was unbelievable! So much choice, very good quality food, in a large spacious setting with white linen tablecloths and elegant satin curtains. The whole experience was truly amazing, we loved every minute of it!

I highly recommend this hotel. The view from our window was stunning, the breakfast buffet was out of this world. The Wellness Resort was heavinly. The salt water pool was wonderful and the sauna and steam room was great. Very elegant hotel. Friendly staff.

Hotelzimmer waren zweckmäßig eingerichtet und der Wellnessbereich verfügtet über einen großes Schwimmbecken was perfekt ist gerade im Winter. Das Frühstück war gut im sehr guter Auswahl was kaum wünsche offen lies.

It is on the seafront, walking distance from the beach. Nice. It is bad that the hotel did not renew its contract with the beach-umbrellas company. Ridiculous. The service in their restaurant was lacking. Their prices are too high -- while their service is low quality and they try to charge for even water.

Ein, in die Jahre gekommenes, liebenswertes Hotel mit viel Charme. Geräumige Zimmer und gepflegte neuwertige Bäder. Hervorragendes Essen, sowohl beim Frühstück, als auch beim Abendessen. Freundliches Personal. . Leider keine Strandliegen mehr für Gäste. Die muß man seperat am Strand mieten, obwohl das anders im Hotelangebot steht. Kaffee nur beim Ober bestellen, der Automatenkaffee ist ungenießbar. Leider ist nicht jeder Ober gewillt, den Kaffee von der Bar zu holen. Im Großen und Ganzen ein schöner Aufenthalt!

Wow the views from the balcony room were totally amazing! Hotel is very well situated right on the promenade and a friendly staff offered to park car at an off site location ! Comfortable and well maintained rooms . Didn't use pool and sauna but are available! Breakfast was served in the restaurant and was good ! Highly recommend!

Lovely 150 year old historic hotel in the heart of the Opatija Riviera. The owners appear to be slowly renovating the place so that's good. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Staff are absolutely amazing and helpful. And the sea water pool (yes that's seawater!!) is awesome. Would definitely stay here again.

The lady that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. She gave us lots of good suggestions. The room was nice and clean. A little outdated (carpet needs to be replaced). The location was perfect being right across from the sea.

This was once a lovely hotel. It is in need of a paint job and new carpet throughout. The breakfast and staff working the breakfast were very good. The dining room and terrace were beautiful. Minor repairs were needed in our room including the shower doors and closet doors not closing properly. The person on the front desk at check in was not welcoming however after that other front desk staff were very good.

Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt okay. Das Hotel ist imposant und die Zimmer sind schön und sauber. Die Balkons haben jedoch fast alle Vogelnester und sind durch die Vögel extrem verunreinigt. Außerdem besitzt das Hotel keine kostenlosen Parkplätze. In den Sommermonaten muss man mit 25 - 30€ PRO TAG für das Parken rechnen. Wir haben fast 300€ fürs Parken ausgegeben.

Advertised superior double room was not even close for what was offered in the photo. It was totally unacceptable, with very bad smell, with the view to the garbage disposal. . so it was not possible to think about opening the window. It was around 11 pm when we arrived for check in -The receptionist could not offer the other room saying the hotel is full. We really could not stay there. We left hotel and booked last minute deal other hotel at midnight. We asked for credit or refund and still waiting for the reply.

Un buen lugar para hospedarse en Opatija, me parece que saben conservar el sabor que tenía el hotel cuando fue construido. El desayuno excelente en cuanto a variedad y sabor de los alimentos. El único detalle que me parece se debe considerar es el del aire acondicionado, ya que este se controla desde la recepción y aunque la menor temperatura que pueden manejar es 18 grados centígrados, la sensación térmica real es superior a eso. Afortunadamente el clima de la ciudad era fresco y con abrir la ventana pudimos estar confortables, sin embargo no me imagino el calor que se debe sentir en el verano.

So, this hotel was about half the price of the hotel right next door. I am not exactly sure what the differences were because if this hotel needed some interior updates, those hotels definitely need exterior upgrades! The hotel was understaffed and although it had all the features of a great hotel, nothing was remarkable. Definitely request a room on the upper floors because level 1 was filled with bass from the disco until midnight, plus smokers outside the window. Rooms are NOT soundproof from the outside. However, we didn’t hear any interior hotel noises at all.

I have to say everything is just amazing…. Thanks and appreciate to wonderful two young lady’s on front desk with name Lucija ( I think manager ) and Elizabeth … both was amazing and helpful….definitely will come back again

It is on the seafront, walking distance from the beach. Nice. It is bad that the hotel did not renew its contract with the beach-umbrellas company. Ridiculous. The service in their restaurant was lacking. Their prices are too high -- while their service is low quality and they try to charge for even water.

So, this hotel was about half the price of the hotel right next door. I am not exactly sure what the differences were because if this hotel needed some interior updates, those hotels definitely need exterior upgrades! The hotel was understaffed and although it had all the features of a great hotel, nothing was remarkable. Definitely request a room on the upper floors because level 1 was filled with bass from the disco until midnight, plus smokers outside the window. Rooms are NOT soundproof from the outside. However, we didn’t hear any interior hotel noises at all.

Lovely 150 year old historic hotel in the heart of the Opatija Riviera. The owners appear to be slowly renovating the place so that's good. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Staff are absolutely amazing and helpful. And the sea water pool (yes that's seawater!!) is awesome. Would definitely stay here again.

The lady that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. She gave us lots of good suggestions. The room was nice and clean. A little outdated (carpet needs to be replaced). The location was perfect being right across from the sea.

Wow the views from the balcony room were totally amazing! Hotel is very well situated right on the promenade and a friendly staff offered to park car at an off site location ! Comfortable and well maintained rooms . Didn't use pool and sauna but are available! Breakfast was served in the restaurant and was good ! Highly recommend!

This was the most wonderful stay in an elegant hotel along the Croatian Riviera. Our room was sumptuous and luxurious, tastefully decorated with a stunning view over the bay. We had a balcony where we could sit and take in the view, the bed was very comfortable indeed and we had all the provisions we needed, including bathrobes and slippers for the lovely pool and spa. We had a friendly welcome on arrival and we could park our car on a meter outside which was free after 8pm. The breakfast was unbelievable! So much choice, very good quality food, in a large spacious setting with white linen tablecloths and elegant satin curtains. The whole experience was truly amazing, we loved every minute of it!

I highly recommend this hotel. The view from our window was stunning, the breakfast buffet was out of this world. The Wellness Resort was heavinly. The salt water pool was wonderful and the sauna and steam room was great. Very elegant hotel. Friendly staff.

Freundliches Personal. . Leider keine Strandliegen mehr für Gäste. Die muß man seperat am Strand mieten, obwohl das anders im Hotelangebot steht. Kaffee nur beim Ober bestellen, der Automatenkaffee ist ungenießbar. Leider ist nicht jeder Ober gewillt, den Kaffee von der Bar zu holen. Im Großen und Ganzen ein schöner Aufenthalt!

This place is magical! Terrace has an excellent view. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. Showers are European small. Staff is so nice. Spa looked nice, didn’t get an appointment because I waited too late. The Opatija area is just gorgeous. Free swimming areas set up in the Adriatic Sea, right outside the hotel. Walking path along the sea. I wanted to stay a week but only booked 2 days.
