The Peapod was perfect for us. It was roomy, sunny, and pleasant, with an ideal layout. The front porch was amazing—large and with a nice view. We met owner Carlos who was gracious and friendly. Because it was a slow season, Carlos kindly offered us things that might not be available during busy season such as extra parking and gas grill. I would highly recommend this home.

The Pea Pod delivered again this summer. Everything works well and it fits our needs perfectly. They do a great job of stocking things nicely that you might need and the little touches that make a stay more comfortable. Highly recommend for a family that wants quick access to DCL.

The Pea Pod was the perfect size for our family of 6. Washer dryer, all appliances worked well and beds were comfortable. Everything worked out well for a great trip to the lake!

My husband and I rented the Pea Pond in order to visit with our Pennsylvania family who rent and own homes in the McHenry area. Not only is the home extremely clean but it is also very accommodating to travelers away from home. From the kitchen equipment to the towels and comfort of the home we were "at home." Many of our family members visited and were very impressed with the lay-out and comfort of the home. The only negative is that their is no central air. However, the window units in the bedrooms made sleeping very comfortable . Also the owner has many fans available throughout the home which adds additional comfort in other areas of the home. Give it a try. It won\'t disappoint!

Amazing to have breakfast and apres ski with lake view and so much quiet. Day 1 we walked to Wisp for skiing, and so easy for the grannies to get in to pick us up in the evening. We thought about leaving skis in the car, but why would we when there is an actual rack off the driveway for the skis :)? Deer out the back window, and we knew the snow tubing was up there but we didn't see or hear it, and the tubers couldn't see us. Plenty of space for a couple, a couple of grannies, and a tween. Well-appointed kitchen (regular coffee maker AND a Keurig!, not one but two Pyrex measuring cups to heat our coffee, more than 1 set of coffee cups, baking sheets, supplies, everything) and still space for our food and snacks. We all enjoyed ourselves very much!

Location was beautiful, loved the porch and grill outside. Best communication experience. Immaculate. Much effort put forth for families to enjoy their stay. Games, advice, 3 br, 2 bath was great. Felt guilty running dishwasher 1/2 full but needed to for clean plates (we were party of 6). Consider adding more lg. plates and perhaps pitcher for iced tea? Absolutely loved every minute of being there!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Pea Pod. The house was super clean and comfortable. We had e wry thing we needed and the location was really convenient to all the activities in McHenry and the Deep Creek area.

The house has a great location- not right on the lake but convenient to everything in McHenry. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very small, the bedding is of mediocre quality and the carpet really needs to be cleaned. The house smelled funny. But probably the most annoying thing was the TV reception is limited if you don’t have a Roku account.

We LOVE staying at the Pea Pod. It's proximity to the lake and to the Wisp mountain is ideal. The managers include lots of little amenities to make your stay more enjoyable and easy. We especially like that it's CLEAN. Thank you for allowing us to stay there year after year every summer!

The house was small, but very quaint and pretty. Donna, the host was very accommodating and answered questions fairly quickly via email. I was pleased with the location of the house. It is where everything was located. The house was ideal. We will definitely return.

ABSOLTELY loved this house! It was quaint, charming, clean and comfortable! The neighborhood was wonderful also, very calm and peaceful. We could had lake views morning, noon and night! WOULD DEFINITLEY recommend and will DEFINITLEY be coming back! Donna and Carlos are fantastic communicators and AMAZING hosts! Thank you for making our stay that much more enjoyable!

We\'re a family of 4 adults, and the Peapod was the perfect size for us -- the right number of beds/baths, a kitchen that easily seats 4, and a cozy living space where we could read, play games, watch movies, or chat. The house was clean and well maintained, and there were nice "welcome extras" left for us. The location is fantastic -- across the street from the lake and very close to shops/restaurants. We\'ll definitely return!

We had a wonderful time! The Pea Pod was perfect for our family trip! The location is perfect- close to many things to do and close to the lake! The Pea Pod had everything you would need for an enjoyable stay and then some! The hosts were so accommodating and very quick to answer questions about the area as we were first time visitors. Thanks for everything and we hope to make it back soon!

Location was beautiful, loved the porch and grill outside. Best communication experience. Immaculate. Much effort put forth for families to enjoy their stay. Games, advice, 3 br, 2 bath was great. Felt guilty running dishwasher 1/2 full but needed to for clean plates (we were party of 6). Consider adding more lg. plates and perhaps pitcher for iced tea? Absolutely loved every minute of being there!

Stayed at this awesome, cozy house with family of 4. Super clean and very updated. Great location across from the lake and 1 minute drive to Wisp resort. Very good communication from owner. Will definitely rent again. Thanks!

We had a wonderful time! The Pea Pod was perfect for our family trip! The location is perfect- close to many things to do and close to the lake! The Pea Pod had everything you would need for an enjoyable stay and then some! The hosts were so accommodating and very quick to answer questions about the area as we were first time visitors. Thanks for everything and we hope to make it back soon!

Amazing to have breakfast and apres ski with lake view and so much quiet. Day 1 we walked to Wisp for skiing, and so easy for the grannies to get in to pick us up in the evening. We thought about leaving skis in the car, but why would we when there is an actual rack off the driveway for the skis :)? Deer out the back window, and we knew the snow tubing was up there but we didn't see or hear it, and the tubers couldn't see us. Plenty of space for a couple, a couple of grannies, and a tween. Well-appointed kitchen (regular coffee maker AND a Keurig!, not one but two Pyrex measuring cups to heat our coffee, more than 1 set of coffee cups, baking sheets, supplies, everything) and still space for our food and snacks. We all enjoyed ourselves very much!

The pea pod is a charming little house that was perfect for the 4 of us to spend time together. Donna and Carlos (hosts) were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The house was very clean, close to many activities and right across from the lake.

The house was clean and comfortable. The porch was nice. Window units worked but didn't really need them. It was near the lacrosse tournament we attended and the grocery store. I liked the Roku TV, the kitchen and living room furniture.

We LOVE staying at the Pea Pod. It's proximity to the lake and to the Wisp mountain is ideal. The managers include lots of little amenities to make your stay more enjoyable and easy. We especially like that it's CLEAN. Thank you for allowing us to stay there year after year every summer!

We had an excellent stay at Pea Pod. Perfect location to Wisp resort and activities. Every room has their own temp control and plenty of linens and supplies. Definitely will stay again.

Pea Pod was an excellent home base for our snow sports excursion to DCL. It was immaculately clean and well maintained. The location to Wisp could not be better, unless it was on the resort itself. It was a 3 minute drive to the main lodge. The home itself is quite comfortable and, for the most part, well equipped. We had to engage in some improvisation when it came to cooking (we couldn't find any kitchen knives and the kitchen staples (apart from salt and pepper) were scarce). However, there were plenty of pots and pans and kitchen implements to cook. The bedrooms are nice sized and the mattresses were OUTSTANDING. Communication with the hosts were fantastic. We'd definitely stay there again for a future trip.
