24 Serenity A Lakefront Cottage Retreat

The house was cozy and comfortable. The location was great while dropping our son off at Wesleyan University for his sophomore year. The lake was a peaceful place to relax and read.

It was our 3rd time staying and everything was as expected. New updates to the bathroom were nice surprise. Thanks again for a lovely stay while we visited our daughter at Wesleyan.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house itself was beautiful—spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The setting was just as impressive, offering peaceful views and a great atmosphere to relax and unwind. Everything was exactly as described, if not better. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene and well-appointed home base for our stay.

Overall, the property is OK, and it was clean. Yes, the appliances were high-end, but the furniture definitely needs updating, especially the living room sofa and chair -- not easy to get out of and no support. We didn't need to use it, but if someone had to sleep on the sofabed, it would probably have been very uncomfortable. With the cooler weather, we were very disappointed that all windows did not have screens (or the screens had holes in them) so they could not be opened. Upstairs had no window screens at all, so windows had to remain closed. What we enjoyed most was the back deck overlooking the lake. We brought citronella candles and sat out late afternoon/early evening. When we made the reservation, we did not realize the "host" was a rental agency. Communication was very difficult in the weeks before our stay. We had several emails and phone calls go unanswered.

Met a friend from Pennsylvania. Had a wonderful weekend in this cozy little house. Everything was perfect.
