Exceptional remote location, cozy beds, warm sunlight, comfy screened in porch and majestic oaks make this property an excellent place to unwind and enjoy nature. The fire pit is perfection and the awesome hosts made sure everything was just right. Squeaky clean but without all the over the top rules that are becoming standard in the VRBO rental community this home let's you relax and enjoy without any stress. Perfect for unplugging and reconnecting with nature and family. Highly recommend
Exceptional remote location, cozy beds, warm sunlight, comfy screened in porch and majestic oaks make this property an excellent place to unwind and enjoy nature. The fire pit is perfection and the awesome hosts made sure everything was just right. I couldn't ask for a better place to stay while I was in the Savannah area. The home itself was cozy, clean and well equipped - and had SPECTACULAR VIEWS from every room! I spent almost all of my time on the pier, exploring the property or watching wildlife. So many birds! The sunrises were breathtaking. I recommend eating breakfast on the pier, but if weather is bad, the screened in porch is a great backup. There is plenty to do as a solo traveler or if travelling with family (kayaks, games, fire pits, swings, etc.). Daryn was an amazing host. She answered all of my many questions in preparation for arrival and continued to communicate and offer guidance on places to visit in the area. If you are looking for a quiet getaway where you want to be surrounded by the natural beauty and soundtrack of the marshes of coastal Georgia, look no further. MsLousCabin is perfect!

The location is incredible--right on the tidal marsh. From the house and dock, we saw amazing water birds. We even watched a dolphin splashing around right by the dock. We kayaked right from the dock on several days. It was also a great home base to make day trips to Savannah, Sapelo Island and Jekyll Island. Host was very communicative and made great recommendations for the area. Highly recommend!

The drive in through the spanish moss covered oaks and low lying palms was a perfect entrance to Ms. Lou’s cabin. Our Hosts were incredibly accommodating providing everything we needed and gave us local knowledge of the area. We trailered our boat and utilized Harris Neck state park boat landing to launch as well as a a fish camp less than 10 mins away that has a nice hoist and live bait. Our highlight of the trip was exploring around Blackbeard Island with our dogs and spotting a seal! We absolutely loved sitting by the fire and relaxing on the dock at the end of the day. We can’t wait to come back.

The owners are spectacular! Communication was prompt and great. Wonderful experience catching seafood from the docks. We loved sitting on the screened in porch. It was perfect for our dog. The area is beautiful and loved learning about the local ecosystem. Ate at the old school diner which was a 5 star experience and explored the Harris neck nature trail. I would love to come back once or twice annually. Can’t wait to be back!

Stunning marsh front property in a great location with a beautiful view of the marsh through towering oaks draped with Spanish moss. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Two comfortable bedrooms and three beds. Two additional areas have couches that can also accommodate additional guests. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Hosts live in the property next door, are amazing and go above and beyond. Our family of four had a fabulous weeklong getaway and we can’t wait to come back! We kayaked every day and fished and went crabbing off the deck. Local restaurants were within a 30 minute drive and very good. Overall we had a lovely stay in the sleepy fishing village of Shellman Bluff. Highly recommend!

What a special place. The house is well appointed and exactly as described. There was plenty of room for our family of four plus my mother to enjoy and relax. The house is more than comfortable, clean, and Daryn is easy to communicate with and responsive. But really what makes this place special is it's amazing location along the marsh. It felt like we were able to transport ourselves to a different time. Our kids got to crab and fish along the dock and spent hours on the giant swing. We enjoyed evenings of smores by the campfire and a place to really soak in each other and the surrounding beauty of the marsh. There are kayaks at the house to explore further, even though our kids got a little nervous at the mention of crocodiles! We also spent a day out on the water with Captain Carlton Sawyer - a special day to explore the coast with someone who knew the history and every person in the county! In addition, we got to see more than 60 dolphins! This is the perfect place for the perfect trip to truly get away from it all.

We had a lovely time at Miss Lou’s cottage. The cottage was perfect for our needs and we and our dog Banjo had the most relaxing and peaceful time. I could sit all day on that screened porch watching the tides and the birds. Appreciated the kayaks and fishing poles for our use and the house was immaculate. Thanks for everything!

It doesn't get any better. Everything was absolutely perfect. Super clean cabin and we loved the dock. We had super fun catching crabs. Internet was strong and reached to the dock. Everything we could possibly think of was available. Everything worked perfectly. We'll be back!

Our family had the most unforgettable 11-day stay at Miss Lou’s Cottage in Shellman Bluff, GA. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the breathtaking sunrise views over the marsh. The peaceful setting, with the sounds of local wildlife waking up in the morning, made it feel like we were in our own private paradise.The property itself is everything we could have hoped for – 7 acres of pure privacy with a beautiful dock right on the water. The cottage was fully furnished and equipped with everything we could need, from kitchen essentials to outdoor gear. We loved having kayaks and fishing gear provided, making it easy to explore the creek and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.One of the most magical moments came just 15 minutes after we arrived when a dolphin surfaced just a few feet from the dock! A couple of days later, a pair of dolphins came up the creek, feeding as the tide came in – they were so close that we could have touched them if we dared lean over. It felt like nature was putting on a show just for us.Our host, Daryn Kagan, was fantastic – thoughtful and responsive to all our needs. The level of attention to detail in making sure we had everything we needed was impressive. We loved our time at this beautiful house on the marsh. It is a wonderful setting, on the tidal marsh, and we enjoyed the constantly changing landscape and wildlife. The birds, the stars, and the quiet were such a pleasure. The screened in porch is so, so nice and the entire house is extremely comfortable. Absolutely anything that you need is provided. The house was spotless, and completely ready for us. Daryn was a wonderfully friendly, helpful. and accomodating host. We would love to come back and highly recommend it to others.

If you are looking for a quiet corner in which to relax away from the rest of the world then this is it! We had a fatastic time, and the quiet and tranquility you can find at Ms Lous Cabin was exactly what we needed to transport us away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Daryn was a wonderful host, communication was easy and she was helpful in so many ways, even down to how to dodge the traffic! I rarely stay in a cabin where I dont find something that bothers me. I am the person that travels with cleaning supplies and my own pillow cases because I am fussy in my old age but I had no need of them here! Beds were clean and very comfortable. Shower was fab! The cabin is well laid out and very comfy. Everything you could need and more besides! Great locaton for lots of different day trips if you want to get out, or just relax in the peace that the cabin provides!I couldnt have asked for a better experience for our first visit to the GA coast!

We really enjoyed this property. It has a beautiful view of the marsh and the house is updated nicely and is very clean and comfortable. It has a great screen porch overlooking the marsh and also a nice dock with a picnic table. We rent houses frequently and found the bed and linens to be very comfortable. We love the Shellman Bluff area and often stay in this local for day trips to St Simons island for golf. It’s great to come back to such a peaceful retreat. The owner is very good at communicating quickly and made sure we had all we needed. Of the 5 or 6 places we’ve stayed in the area, this is a top choice.

This was a perfect location for our 30th anniversary. The home was beautiful, quiet and clean. The salt marsh was fascinating to watch and the thunderstorms made the marsh even more amazing. Our proximity to Savannah and Amelia Island made day trips easy. The communication with the hosts was incredible. alIsland

We had the most wonderful stay at Ms Lou’s cabin. The cabin was cozy and beautifully decorated, super clean and incredibly well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. We spend a lot of much-needed relaxing time at the cabin where we kayaked, played board games and caught crabs, but also visited the nearby nature reserve and saw tons of birds and gators. It’s easy to explore the golden islands on George’s coast from the location. Also loved our day trip to Savannah. Ms Daryn was very easy to communicate with and just wonderful in every way. We look forward to coming back again to enjoy the beauty, sunrise above the marsh, birds and complete quiet. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We stayed here for three nights and loved it. We never left the property because it was so beautiful! We contemplated going over to the nature preserve nearby but we realized that the house we were staying in and surrounding land was just as beautiful! Watching the tides was my obsession and so many water birds. I’m a life long native Floridian who has never lived outside my state, but THIS was a whole new kind of beautiful. We will be back here! It’s in my heart and soul, this piece of land! We loved it…..

I couldn't ask for a better place to stay while I was in the Savannah area. The home itself was cozy, clean and well equipped - and had SPECTACULAR VIEWS from every room! I spent almost all of my time on the pier, exploring the property or watching wildlife. So many birds! The sunrises were breathtaking. I recommend eating breakfast on the pier, but if weather is bad, the screened in porch is a great backup. There is plenty to do as a solo traveler or if travelling with family (kayaks, games, fire pits, swings, etc.). Daryn was an amazing host. She answered all of my many questions in preparation for arrival and continued to communicate and offer guidance on places to visit in the area. If you are looking for a quiet getaway where you want to be surrounded by the natural beauty and soundtrack of the marshes of coastal Georgia, look no further. MsLousCabin is perfect!

We loved our time at this beautiful house on the marsh. It is a wonderful setting, on the tidal marsh, and we enjoyed the constantly changing landscape and wildlife. The birds, the stars, and the quiet were such a pleasure. The screened in porch is so, so nice and the entire house is extremely comfortable. Absolutely anything that you need is provided. The house was spotless, and completely ready for us. Daryn was a wonderfully friendly, helpful. and accomodating host. We would love to come back and highly recommend it to others.

If you are looking for a quiet corner in which to relax away from the rest of the world then this is it! We had a fatastic time, and the quiet and tranquility you can find at Ms Lous Cabin was exactly what we needed to transport us away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Daryn was a wonderful host, communication was easy and she was helpful in so many ways, even down to how to dodge the traffic! I rarely stay in a cabin where I dont find something that bothers me. I am the person that travels with cleaning supplies and my own pillow cases because I am fussy in my old age but I had no need of them here! Beds were clean and very comfortable. Shower was fab! The cabin is well laid out and very comfy. Everything you could need and more besides! Great locaton for lots of different day trips if you want to get out, or just relax in the peace that the cabin provides!I couldnt have asked for a better experience for our first visit to the GA coast!

It’s difficult to fully articulate what a transcendent experience I had at Ms. Lou’s this past long weekend. The house is charming, the views from every angle are so engaging; I just stared and stared, trying to take mental photos to thumb through at home when I'm sucked back into the maelstrom of real life . I think I loved the back screened porch the most; the perfect place to just sit quietly under the fan, watching the gently undulating Spanish moss in the live oaks in front of the cabin, the graceful egrets and cormorants flying in and out of the marsh, listening to each bird’s unique sound. I was easily able to lay down all the stress and worries that haunt so many of us in our daily lives and feel truly at peace. I honestly think that if I could just sit on the dock and watch the sun glinting off the Spartina grass and the inexorable movement of the tidal creek every day for the rest of my life, I'd be a contented person. Thanks Daryn for sharing your special place with us and allowing me that bliss!

My husband and I were relocating from PA to GA and needed a place to stay in between the two closing dates. A place where we could park our 26' Uhaul, a place that we could bring our cat, and I place where I could work remotely! Ms Lou's Cabin had all of this and so much more. We had so much going on that we couldn't enjoy all this location had to offer! Daryn was a phenomenal host and was supportive during a very stressful time. I feel I made my first friend in GA!!! Will definitely have family and friends stay with her when they come visit!! A perfect home away from home!

We really enjoyed this property. It has a beautiful view of the marsh and the house is updated nicely and is very clean and comfortable. It has a great screen porch overlooking the marsh and also a nice dock with a picnic table. We rent houses frequently and found the bed and linens to be very comfortable. We love the Shellman Bluff area and often stay in this local for day trips to St Simons island for golf. It’s great to come back to such a peaceful retreat. The owner is very good at communicating quickly and made sure we had all we needed. Of the 5 or 6 places we’ve stayed in the area, this is a top choice.

Hosts live in the property next door, are amazing and go above and beyond. Our family of four had a fabulous weeklong getaway and we can’t wait to come back! We kayaked every day and fished and went crabbing off the deck. Local restaurants were within a 30 minute drive and very good. Overall we had a lovely stay in the sleepy fishing village of Shellman Bluff. Highly recommend!

It doesn't get any better. Everything was absolutely perfect. Super clean cabin and we loved the dock. We had super fun catching crabs. Internet was strong and reached to the dock. Everything we could possibly think of was available. Everything worked perfectly. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful stay with family. The house (cabin) is very comfortable with everything needed to enjoy the beautiful GA coast. Our host (Daryn) was/is great, always attentive and helpful whenever needed. My only reluctance to this post is the concern for others to discover this jewel of a location. We shall return!

The owners are spectacular! Communication was prompt and great. Wonderful experience catching seafood from the docks. We loved sitting on the screened in porch. It was perfect for our dog. The area is beautiful and loved learning about the local ecosystem. Ate at the old school diner which was a 5 star experience and explored the Harris neck nature trail. I would love to come back once or twice annually. Can’t wait to be back!

This was a perfect location for our 30th anniversary. The home was beautiful, quiet and clean. The salt marsh was fascinating to watch and the thunderstorms made the marsh even more amazing. Our family had the most unforgettable 11-day stay at Miss Lou’s Cottage in Shellman Bluff, GA. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the breathtaking sunrise views over the marsh. The peaceful setting, with the sounds of local wildlife waking up in the morning, made it feel like we were in our own private paradise.The property itself is everything we could have hoped for – 7 acres of pure privacy with a beautiful dock right on the water. The cottage was fully furnished and equipped with everything we could need, from kitchen essentials to outdoor gear. We loved having kayaks and fishing gear provided, making it easy to explore the creek and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.One of the most magical moments came just 15 minutes after we arrived when a dolphin surfaced just a few feet from the dock! A couple of days later, a pair of dolphins came up the creek, feeding as the tide came in – they were so close that we could have touched them if we dared lean over. It felt like nature was putting on a show just for us.Our host, Daryn Kagan, was fantastic – thoughtful and responsive to all our needs. The level of attention to detail in making sure we had everything we needed was impressive. The location is incredible--right on the tidal marsh. From the house and dock, we saw amazing water birds. We even watched a dolphin splashing around right by the dock. We kayaked right from the dock on several days. It was also a great home base to make day trips to Savannah, Sapelo Island and Jekyll Island. Host was very communicative and made great recommendations for the area. Highly recommend!

Great place if you like privacy and nature. Excellent crabbing right off the dock. Poor or no road signage, but learned our way around after a couple days. Good base for traveling to local attractions. Hire a guide if you want to explore the waterways, or fish.

We kayaked every day and fished and went crabbing off the deck. Local restaurants were within a 30 minute drive and very good. Overall we had a lovely stay in the sleepy fishing village of Shellman Bluff. Highly recommend!

This was a perfect location for our 30th anniversary. The home was beautiful, quiet and clean. The salt marsh was fascinating to watch and the thunderstorms made the marsh even more amazing. Our proximity to Savannah and Amelia Island made day trips easy. The communication with the hosts was incredible. alIsland

Loved every minute of our 10 day trip!! Conveniently located to Savannah, Tybee Island to the north and to the south we had Darien, Jekyll Island and St. Simmons Island. Close to Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge that we visited a couple of times. Quite and peaceful except for the birds singing which I enjoyed.

Our family had the most unforgettable 11-day stay at Miss Lou’s Cottage in Shellman Bluff, GA. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the breathtaking sunrise views over the marsh. The peaceful setting, with the sounds of local wildlife waking up in the morning, made it feel like we were in our own private paradise.The property itself is everything we could have hoped for – 7 acres of pure privacy with a beautiful dock right on the water. The cottage was fully furnished and equipped with everything we could need, from kitchen essentials to outdoor gear. We loved having kayaks and fishing gear provided, making it easy to explore the creek and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.One of the most magical moments came just 15 minutes after we arrived when a dolphin surfaced just a few feet from the dock! A couple of days later, a pair of dolphins came up the creek, feeding as the tide came in – they were so close that we could have touched them if we dared lean over. It felt like nature was putting on a show just for us.Our host, Daryn Kagan, was fantastic – thoughtful and responsive to all our needs. The level of attention to detail in making sure we had everything we needed was impressive. It truly felt like a home away from home.If you're looking for a peaceful, beautiful getaway with unforgettable experiences, this is the place. We can’t wait to return!

The owners are spectacular! Communication was prompt and great. Wonderful experience catching seafood from the docks. We loved sitting on the screened in porch. It was perfect for our dog. The area is beautiful and loved learning about the local ecosystem. Ate at the old school diner which was a 5 star experience and explored the Harris neck nature trail. I would love to come back once or twice annually. Can’t wait to be back!

Stunning marsh front property in a great location with a beautiful view of the marsh through towering oaks draped with Spanish moss. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Two comfortable bedrooms and three beds. Two additional areas have couches that can also accommodate additional guests. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Hosts live in the property next door, are amazing and go above and beyond. Our family of four had a fabulous weeklong getaway and we can’t wait to come back! Absolutely perfect! Owner communication was the best we’ve ever experienced. Front porch was our fav place. Lots of wildlife & dock time. Secluded location was the best. Will return.

My family had a fantastic time at Ms Lou’s cabin. The place was well designed, very clean, well appointed, and was at a beautiful location. I loved the screened in porch and spent lots of time there during our trip. Daryn and Trent are great hosts. Gave lots of helpful suggestions for restaurants and what to do in the area. They responded to any question or need we had and were so nice. I highly recommend staying here when vacationing in Georgia.
