Wonderful home in the heart of Hanalei. Hale Maile had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We made use of the well stocked kitchen, walked into Hanalei several times, and enjoyed use of the beach chairs and umbrella. Next time I come to Kauai, I will only stay here!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental was perfect for our family, we could ride bikes to the nearest shops/store, also the beach was in walking distance which made it perfect for our children to go surfing. Overall the house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay!! I will definitely use this rental in the future!!

My overall review of this lovely home is very positive. Perfect layout for two couples. Although, it’s not shown in the photos of the home, the second bedroom is only accessible off of the covered deck/patio. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The laundry room is only accessible through the second bedroom’s bathroom. This is somewhat inconvenient. The home feels fresh & airy and newly built. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need to prepare meals. The outdoor barbecue on the covered deck was a great feature. The wrap around covered porch was my favorite part of the home.. beautiful tropical views and furnished with lounge chairs, table & chairs for enjoying meals. The beds were comfortable. We did have issues with the hot water running out, while taking showers. The water pressure was very good, which is always a big positive. Be aware that there are neighborhood dogs that barked incessantly, so if you are a light sleeper, you should consider earplugs. The location of the home is a short walk to Hanalei bay beach.. just a few minutes. This is a gorgeous beach.. you can also drive there, and park in the parking lot, which is right at the beach. There are bikes stored at the home, which is great for cruising into the town of Hanalei. Also plenty of beach gear is stored at the home.. boogie boards.. beach chairs.. nice beach towels.

This house was very cute and the perfect size for the 4 of us. The kitchen was stocked with pans and knives that aren’t dented or dull which is hard to find in rentals. There were beach supplies to borrow that were in good shape and the house is a very short walk to hanalei bay which is a great beach. Unfortunately the side walk was having work done which made it hard to walk to town but it looked almost done. There is no air conditioning but with the fans and windows we were very comfortable the whole time. The shops in town are cute and not all overpriced. The farmers market on saturdays is just down the road but it is overpriced and touristy so I can’t recommend it. There is a kayak and snorkeling tour in town that is a great and light adventure

The house beautiful with all the amenities you need! The walk to the beach with all the beach gear is unbeatable. Also so close to town! The house itself so pretty and sitting on the balcony with our coffee as it rained was pure bliss. No a/c that we noticed but that didn’t matter to us and fans in every room. The second bedroom you access from the balcony, not the main house. Also not a problem for us but for someone with tiny kids .. We would absolutely stay here again and missed it when we went to our next spot!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and bright. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5-8 minute walk to town. The kitchen was fully stocked and the laundry facilities were top notch. We will definitely stay there the next time we come to Hanalei.

This house is clearly beloved by the owners. It has such great aesthetic touches that really add to the stay. The location is perfect. We had the grandparents with us and the extra guest room is set up so wonderfully to allow for privacy and yet everyone enjoys the torch. This was our second time at this property and we will be back again.

This property was such a fun place to stay for a visit to the North Shore. Everything was fantastic but you should know that there is no air conditioning and the open air feel leaves you sleeping with the crowing roosters outside. For us, that made the experience even better and more authentic.

My overall review of this lovely home is very positive. Perfect layout for two couples. Although, it’s not shown in the photos of the home, the second bedroom is only accessible off of the covered deck/patio. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The laundry room is only accessible through the second bedroom’s bathroom. This is somewhat inconvenient. The home feels fresh & airy and newly built. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need to prepare meals. The outdoor barbecue on the covered deck was a great feature. The wrap around covered porch was my favorite part of the home.. beautiful tropical views and furnished with lounge chairs, table & chairs for enjoying meals. The beds were comfortable. We did have issues with the hot water running out, while taking showers. The water pressure was very good, which is always a big positive. Be aware that there are neighborhood dogs that barked incessantly, so if you are a light sleeper, you should consider earplugs. The location of the home is a short walk to Hanalei bay beach.. just a few minutes. This is a gorgeous beach.. you can also drive there, and park in the parking lot, which is right at the beach. There are bikes stored at the home, which is great for cruising into the town of Hanalei. Also plenty of beach gear is stored at the home.. boogie boards.. beach chairs.. nice beach towels.

This house was very cute and the perfect size for the 4 of us. The kitchen was stocked with pans and knives that aren’t dented or dull which is hard to find in rentals. There were beach supplies to borrow that were in good shape and the house is a very short walk to hanalei bay which is a great beach. Unfortunately the side walk was having work done which made it hard to walk to town but it looked almost done. There is no air conditioning but with the fans and windows we were very comfortable the whole time. The shops in town are cute and not all overpriced. The farmers market on saturdays is just down the road but it is overpriced and touristy so I can’t recommend it. There is a kayak and snorkeling tour in town that is a great and light adventure

This home is a lovely space that oozes with integrity. Hanalei is a very special place on the island and to be in such close proximity to both the beaches as well as to the stunning mountains is unreal. We very much felt and took in the sacredness of the mountains from the lanai as we relaxed, ate, laughed and even cried a little. The house and its rooms are smaller than the photos make them look and the size was just right for us. The roosters and the occasional doggies saying "Hi" added to our vacation vibe allowing us to imagine living on this very healing island of Kauai. We'd love to come back again and again! Mahalo

The house beautiful with all the amenities you need! The walk to the beach with all the beach gear is unbeatable. Also so close to town! The house itself so pretty and sitting on the balcony with our coffee as it rained was pure bliss. No a/c that we noticed but that didn’t matter to us and fans in every room. The second bedroom you access from the balcony, not the main house. Also not a problem for us but for someone with tiny kids .. We would absolutely stay here again and missed it when we went to our next spot!

The house is wonderfully equipped - full kitchen, lots of towels, and all the beach items you could need (chairs, towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, etc). The house is a 3 minute walk across the main road to Hanalei Bay and is a 1 minute car ride to downtown Hanalei. Beds are comfortable and the house makes great use of indoor/outdoor living. We found it a perfect home base for all activities on the north shore. Note that there is no air conditioning and although there is good air flow throughout the house, it did get warm at times (we were there in August) although the house did cool down overnight. It had everything we needed. It was clean. The customer service was amazing and very responsive. We couldn't have asked for any place better. Loved the beds and the veranda and of course the laundry facilities. What a treat at the end of a long trip!

Hale Maile is extraordinary in every way. It is perfectly located, just a three minute walk to beautiful Hanalei Bay and a five minute walk into town. It is very quiet except for the sounds of birds and of course, roosters. The space is well appointed and comfortable with every detail taken care of. We especially loved the beach accessories that were included. Communication was quick and accommodating. We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful home in the heart of Hanalei. Hale Maile had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We made use of the well stocked kitchen, walked into Hanalei several times, and enjoyed use of the beach chairs and umbrella. Next time I come to Kauai, I will only stay here!

Our family of four had an amazing week at the house. Very comfortable beds, well appointed and stocked, beautiful wrap around porch. Easy walk or bike ride to town and beach. We hope to be back soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and bright. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5-8 minute walk to town. The kitchen was fully stocked and the laundry facilities were top notch. We will definitely stay there the next time we come to Hanalei.

The house was conveniently located in town, just a couple blocks from all the restaurants and beach. It was quiet and felt private. We felt like we were living like locals :) Some perks include all the beach gear, the kitchen was outfitted with every utensil and cookware you can think of, the wrap around lanai, outdoor shower, and to top it off, the house was pristine, super clean. Also the host was very communicative. We throughly enjoyed our vacation and Hale Maile was one of the biggest highlights. We will definitely be back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had the most amazing stay at Hale Maile. The house was conveniently located in town, just a couple blocks from all the restaurants and beach. It was quiet and felt private. We felt like we were living like locals :) Some perks include all the beach gear, the kitchen was outfitted with every utensil and cookware you can think of, the wrap around lanai, outdoor shower, and to top it off, the house was pristine, super clean. Also the host was very communicative. We throughly enjoyed our vacation and Hale Maile was one of the biggest highlights. We will definitely be back!

Hale Maile is a gorgeous, well appointed house which is conveniently located - the beach, shops and restaurants are just a short walk or bike ride away. We were given access to bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, beach towels,...literally everything we needed to make our beach vacation perfect. The kitchen is also well stocked and left us wanting for nothing. The two bedrooms are situated in a way that gives each couple a sense of complete privacy. We’ve never stayed in a place which provided so much. The lanai is so beautiful and peaceful and even though there are neighbors on all sides you’d never know it because the garden is so lush that one has the impression of being completely isolated. Truly, you will think you have been invited to stay in a friend’s house, where the decor is not only comfortable, but also beautiful and which honors the Hawaiian culture - you would never believe you were staying in a rental property. We would absolutely stay here again - indeed, we’ve been spoiled for any other place!!
