Historic Hideaway with Lake Access!

This was such a find! The house was very spacious with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for the 5 of us plus my 2 dogs! The big table was great for us to play games throughout the holiday and a lot of cute restaurants and bakeries were just 8 min car drive away. Unfortunately it rained the whole holiday, but it would nice, if the weather was good, to enjoy the patio and the nearby beach. Everything was very clean and well explained! Very much recommend!!

This is a really cool historic house. Beautiful wood throughout. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean. Not necessarily the best place for mobility challenged guests as there are steps to navigate but it was just perfect for my family’s visit.

Historic Hideaway was perfect stay while we were in town for a wedding. It is definitely a historic house. We loved it. The bedding was nice and the mattresses in all the rooms appeared newish and were very comfortable. It has large common spaces to gather and visit or watch tv. We did not cook, but the kitchen seemed well-appointed and having coffee and tea available was nice. And an electric corkscrew - who could ask for more!Because it is an old house it has short ceilings and door frames which gave us much enjoyment watching my 6'4" son maneuver through the house - he didn't bonk his head once! I would highly recommend this property if you are in the South Salem area. Our wedding was at Le Chateau, which was less than a 5 minute drive.

Excellent stay! Very attentive hosts, nice location for a wedding that brought us to town
