Loved the place, beautiful old house-- well appointed and walkable to everything! We enjoyed the fire pit and the bed was super comfortable, communication was easy! Would definitely stay again!

This is a hidden gem- fully functional and perfect our needs. We ate out so I can’t comment on the kitchen, but it was clean and functional. Beds comfortable. A charming piece of history downtown.

It was beautiful! We had a fire in the backyard. I enjoyed my stay so much. My father was also pleased with the accommodations. Thank you so much for hosting us. We had a lovely wedding weekend.

We had a great stay at the Harrington house. It was a perfect space for our family of 4. We were easily able to walk to downtown for restaurants and boat cruises. Walking around the neighborhood or spending time on the front porch is a beautiful way pass time too. The house is beautifully decorated, with spaces for us all to cozy up with a book or game, and included a park pass, which was unexpected, but appreciated! We enjoyed our time in downtown Beaufort!

We loved it. The original wood floors are gorgeous. The kitchen has been completely updated. Comfy beds, super clean. And nice big bath towels. About 5 blocks from downtown which was a nice walk. Gorgeous sunsets down on the river. Highly recommend.

We stayed here with our son and daughter in law for a wedding on Dataw Island. Bc there were 2 couples, the arrangements were a little tight & cozy. However, we were on the go most of our stay, so not a-lot of “hanging out” time together in the accommodations. Our only complaint…the bedroom doors are lited, window /panel doors with no curtains for privacy. We reached out to the property manager the night of our arrival, but by the time he was able to respond/come by to hang up some door coverings the next day we were in the middle of getting dressed for the wedding. Appreciated the effort to remedy the issue. We made do by draping linens over the doors during our stay. This is the only reason why I did not give 5 stars. Great location, nice outdoor area, full washer and dryer, comfortable, clean and lots of character. Reasonable rate as well.

We have been coming to Beaufort annually for the Dragon Boat Festival for about 8 years. We found the Harrington House in 2023 and this is the second time we have stayed. This place has everything we needed and more right down to the ironing board and vegetable peeler! We will look no further and try booking this dwelling when we return! It was perfect and so convenient to the Waterfront and Downtown.

This place was perfect. Great amenities and loved the outside area even though the weekend we were there it was too cold to use it ! Short walk to town - will definitely stay here again soon!

We had a delivery to the house early and home owner was kind enough to bring to us in the evening as we had to leave at 5am for Marine graduation. Home was cleaned and cute. Thank you for an easy, clean comfortable place to stay.

Very nice historic home in a good location walkable to everything in Beaufort. The property was clean and well-maintained. The house had everything we needed to feel comfortable. For 3 of us, it was just enough space. Definitely recommend!

My sister and I enjoyed our stay here! It's located in a nice quiet neighborhood just a short drive (.07 mi) to the shops and restaurants in downtown Beaufort. It was very clean, private and cozy with everything you need for a comfortable visit. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Beaufort. Thank you!

We loved this place! Very clean, stylish and full of character with original and historic touches. Great location — 10-15 minute walk downtown and just a couple of blocks from the waterfront. Highly recommend!

It's a very cute cottage. Very clean. It says sleeps 4. There are 2 bdrm they are tiny with a double/queen bed. So if you are going with friends & don't mind sleeping together it'll fit 4 fine. The rooms are smaller than expected but worked for us. We brought an air mattress & put it in the living room. Went to the water festival & the first night heading to bed we heard gunshots (not fireworks) they were true gunshots, called 911 & they said they had multiple calls. Police cruisers were in the area quickly. Called the landlord & he pretty much laughed at me & said it was safe. Spoke to neighbors & they said it's normal gunfire from 2 blocks away but it sure sounded like it was right out the window. The lady across the street said, "don't be concerned they don't come down this way." All in all it was a great cottage & enjoyed our stay with no further issues in the area.

This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay, right in the heart of historic Beaufort! We could walk to shops and nearby sites, and drive to places further afield. Our host went the extra mile to be sure we had everything we needed - which we did, the house is perfectly nice and comfortable (especially for just two of us... it might start to feel very cozy for four or five, given the single bathroom and very tiny dining setup, but I could still imagine a family finding it just right). I'd absolutely recommend this or book it again.

Great little place, clean, good location, quiet, and fairly close to Bay Street for some restaurants. It's about 5 blocks but if weather is good, it is a pleasant walk thru neighborhood. Would we stay here again? Yes we would.

Our only complaint…the bedroom doors are lited, window /panel doors with no curtains for privacy. We reached out to the property manager the night of our arrival, but by the time he was able to respond/come by to hang up some door coverings the next day we were in the middle of getting dressed for the wedding. Appreciated the effort to remedy the issue. We made do by draping linens over the doors during our stay. This is the only reason why I did not give 5 stars. Great location, nice outdoor area, full washer and dryer, comfortable, clean and lots of character. Reasonable rate as well.

It's a very cute cottage. Very clean. It says sleeps 4. There are 2 bdrm they are tiny with a double/queen bed. So if you are going with friends & don't mind sleeping together it'll fit 4 fine. The rooms are smaller than expected but worked for us. We brought an air mattress & put it in the living room. Went to the water festival & the first night heading to bed we heard gunshots (not fireworks) they were true gunshots, called 911 & they said they had multiple calls. Police cruisers were in the area quickly. Called the landlord & he pretty much laughed at me & said it was safe. Spoke to neighbors & they said it's normal gunfire from 2 blocks away but it sure sounded like it was right out the window. The lady across the street said, "don't be concerned they don't come down this way." All in all it was a great cottage & enjoyed our stay with no further issues in the area.

Great little place, clean, good location, quiet, and fairly close to Bay Street for some restaurants. It's about 5 blocks but if weather is good, it is a pleasant walk thru neighborhood. Would we stay here again? Yes we would.

We loved it. The original wood floors are gorgeous. The kitchen has been completely updated. Comfy beds, super clean. And nice big bath towels. About 5 blocks from downtown which was a nice walk. Gorgeous sunsets down on the river. Highly recommend.

We have been coming to Beaufort annually for the Dragon Boat Festival for about 8 years. We found the Harrington House in 2023 and this is the second time we have stayed. This place has everything we needed and more right down to the ironing board and vegetable peeler! We will look no further and try booking this dwelling when we return! It was perfect and so convenient to the Waterfront and Downtown.

Thanks so much for letting us stay at the Mermaid Cottage. The home was beautiful - I especially loved the floors and so much history! The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Everything we wanted to see was in walking distance. I would definitely stay here again!

This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay, right in the heart of historic Beaufort! We could walk to shops and nearby sites, and drive to places further afield. Our host went the extra mile to be sure we had everything we needed - which we did, the house is perfectly nice and comfortable (especially for just two of us... it might start to feel very cozy for four or five, given the single bathroom and very tiny dining setup, but I could still imagine a family finding it just right). I'd absolutely recommend this or book it again.
