Had an issue with front counter messing with my bank cards that they put on file

After driving nine hours, I arrived at the hotel expecting to check in and settle down, but unfortunately, my room was not ready. I had to keep following up with the front desk for updates, and each time I was told they were checking with housekeeping. After waiting for about two hours, the clerk informed me that the room still wasn’t ready and moved me to a different room. Unfortunately, that room had a very strong smell of weed, so I had to go back down to the front desk again to request another room change. Once the room situation was finally resolved, the rest of my stay was fine. However, the beginning of the experience was extremely frustrating, especially after such a long drive. I do appreciate that the front desk eventually corrected the problem, but the check-in process and room readiness definitely need improvement.
