Farmview Cottage at White Lotus Eco Spa Retreat

I had a very pleasant stay in the Farmview Cottage! It was easy to access per the host's directions and instructions, and the host was quick and communicative regarding all of my questions. The cottage looked like the pictures, if just a bit run down in the kitchen (to be expected with a vacation share), and provided a much-needed quiet retreat while I attended and helped set up my friend's wedding nearby. My only disappointment was that many of the accommodations of the retreat that I was looking forward to, most especially the canoe and the sauna, were unavailable or inaccessible. There was no paddle for the canoe, so I wasn't able to use it on the day I'd set aside for that express purpose, and the sauna did not seem to be accessible, nor could I locate the dipping pool (or it had been drained). Still, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, and even got to spot a pair of deer coming out of the woods just beside the cabin as I was quietly eating my supper.

We booked our stay at The Crows Nest in the Zen Barn for our 20th Anniversary! The property and the Barn are quirky and fun. The room was exactly as described. The full kitchen was a lifesaver and we enjoyed cooking and eating a leisurely breakfast each morning before heading out onto Skyline Drive to hike.The only items that could be improved were:1) The air conditioning wasn't turned down when we arrived so the room was quite hot (we were there during a very intense heat wave) and it took a few hours to cool down. 2) The kitchen and the shared bathroom needed attention. There were a lot of ants in the kitchen and the bathroom had not been cleaned before we arrived. However, when we let the owners know, the bathroom was cleaned right away.Otherwise, we had a lovely stay and enjoyed our time there very much!!!

This was an amazing, private getaway for us. We loved the ease of everything from arrival to departure. We will definitely be returning!

I needed a quiet getaway to catch up on work and this was perfect for that.

There is a lot of charm in this property and this room! Note that the heater in the room struggles to keep up with the cold during the colder months. It was 60 degrees when I woke up one morning, and the heater had been running non-stop all night. Unfortunately, I didn't try the sauna, but it looked awesome!
