The castle was amazing. We stayed in the beautiful room it was very spacious & comfortable. All the staff eas very friendly. We eat at restaurant in the castle waiter was excellent & food was amazing. We played croquet on the front lawn & walked the grounds. Was a great pkace. Would return on future trip to Waterford. Did tour at House of Waterford it is a must do if you are in Waterford. Great stay.

Beautiful old castle. Staff very attentive with a lovely resteraunt and included breakfast. Grounds are beautiful and offer the ability for a long hike. Room was comfortable and spacious. Our stay was everything we had hoped for.

Very beautiful castle hotel and property. It's on its own island and a free ferry brings you across the small river. Lovely. Food is fantastic. Extensive Breakfast is included (except my cappuccino). Staff is great. Romantic. There are large, modern "cottages" (like townhouses) for families or bigger groups.

Amazing time here! I highly suggest a reservation for dinner in the Munster room. Big shout out to Dylan and David who were inside bar area. They were so kind and helpful. The grounds are absolutely amazing. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

The waterford castle did not disappoint! Beautiful property, ferry ride over to the private island and a friendly staff ready to tell you all about the wallabies and deer that share the island! The castle is gorgeous and the food is fine dining at its best! It is a true old castle so expect authenticity and a minor reduction in modern day amenities, but also know it is absolutely worth it! This stay made our trip highly memorable!

The hotel is amazing and beautiful. Just like the pictures. The staff is excellent and attentive. The dining experience was wonderful. Golf on property is a bit lacking with dirty carts, not enough rental clubs but the staff was nice and the course was lovely.

The hotel and grounds lovely and nothing to complain about cleanliness or physical condition of facilities. Our 5th hotel on Ireland tour and this one all the service seemed "transactional". Checkin and out confusing, last dinner served 7:30, sommelier suggestion for beef course was "any of our red wines ". The island location accessible by ferry only is both romantic and isolating.

Very nice Castle Hotel. The experience is worth the stay. Don’t plan a a good shower, this was an issue. Rooms could do with a little TLC. Even with the above, you won’t regret staying here

The room was not as expected. Carpets were very dirty, a few walls showed water damage and the bathroom had no curtains for privacy had to do makeshift out of luggage and clothes. I was surprised by the overall lack of upkeep for our suite, expected more from a luxury hotel for the money. Staff was excellent though!

My favorite stay in all of Ireland. Will return! The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the suites were HUGE!!! The property was so beautiful. Staff was incredible and the dinner at Munster Room was fantastic. Highly recommend

Beautiful castle and lovely stay! The grounds are gorgeous, the staff welcoming. We had an amazing dinner and breakfast. Comfy bed, very nice amenities. I only wish we couldve stayed longer

The castle was amazing. The service at the restaurant was poor. Out of several bottle of wine we ordered and slow service. Food was ok. The pigeon was the best part. We only ordered one desert, but we were charged for 2 three-course meals. We were undercharged due to a server hitting the wrong button on the machine, but then we were hounded later that night and the next day to pay the $70 difference. We left a £30 cash tip and the server pocketed that too. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Not how you treat guests when mistakes are made by the staff.

Slotsophold som var fantastisk. Rigtig god restaurant med med i topklasse. Venlig og service-minded personale. Selvom det var på en ø, følte man sig ikke isoleret, da forbindelse til byen var god.

The waterford castle did not disappoint! Beautiful property, ferry ride over to the private island and a friendly staff ready to tell you all about the wallabies and deer that share the island! The castle is gorgeous and the food is fine dining at its best! It is a true old castle so expect authenticity and a minor reduction in modern day amenities, but also know it is absolutely worth it! This stay made our trip highly memorable!

It is a lovely place to stay. Being on the island takes you away from the hustle and bustle. We took this as a “pause” from our tour of Ireland. David in the bar and Antonio in the restaurant go out of there way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Feel like an Earl!

The hotel and grounds lovely and nothing to complain about cleanliness or physical condition of facilities. Our 5th hotel on Ireland tour and this one all the service seemed "transactional". Checkin and out confusing, last dinner served 7:30, sommelier suggestion for beef course was "any of our red wines ". The island location accessible by ferry only is both romantic and isolating.

My favorite stay in all of Ireland. Will return! The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the suites were HUGE!!! The property was so beautiful. Staff was incredible and the dinner at Munster Room was fantastic. Highly recommend

The castle and the ground are magnificent and the rooms beautiful. I have traveled extensively over the last 40 years, and then that time I have had no finer meal, then was served at the castle for dinner. Clearly the work of one of the finest chefs imaginable.

The castle was amazing. The service at the restaurant was poor. Out of several bottle of wine we ordered and slow service. Food was ok. The pigeon was the best part. We only ordered one desert, but we were charged for 2 three-course meals. We were undercharged due to a server hitting the wrong button on the machine, but then we were hounded later that night and the next day to pay the $70 difference. We left a £30 cash tip and the server pocketed that too. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Not how you treat guests when mistakes are made by the staff.

We've been traveling in Italy for thirteen days and now in Ireland for another nine days. The Waterford Castle has been by far the best hotel we've stayed in regardless of price (Rome was more expensive). The dinner was perhaps the best meal, all things considered we've ever had and I've traveled all over the world. If you want a unique experience where you will be spoiled beyond your expectations, book the Waterford Castle.

The hotel is amazing and beautiful. Just like the pictures. The staff is excellent and attentive. The dining experience was wonderful. Golf on property is a bit lacking with dirty carts, not enough rental clubs but the staff was nice and the course was lovely.

The lodge (inside) was clean, roomy, and comfortable. Outside there were kids toys, food wrappers, and other debris on the ground. It appeared that there were multiple families, most likely refugees, living full time in a number of the lodges next to resort visitors/tourists. There are no dining options on the island during the week, although we were told by the front desk staff (incorrectly) that the golf club did serve dinner. The castle was off limits due to private events but the walking trails were enjoyable. The golf course was in excellent condition, prices were reasonable, and the staff was friendly.

This Castle was a highlight of our trip around Ireland! The grounds are lovely, the castle is absolutely incredible. Like staying in a fairytale. The restaurant staff are fantastic and the food was top notch! Highly recommend the Waterford Castle.
