This was a fantastic place to stay. In reality, the photos do not do it justice for how cozy and spacious the property is. My friends and I already have plans to go back this summer when the docks are in. Great view for a bonfire, tons of sleeping space and right down the street from the Palmer House, a great little bar if you feel like getting out for lunch, dinner or just to meet some great people and have a nice night out. Having kayaks on the property makes it easy to get on the water as well, if you don’t have a boat. 10/10 stay!

Great cozy cabin ,very well stocked with every essential. Relaxing, beautiful and quiet setting right on lake. Spotted lots of wildlife and caught alot of fish! Convenient to neighborhood store for groceries, etc. Owner responded quickly to questions. Liked the bunkhouse too.

My family (ages 8-73) completely enjoyed our stay on Briggs Lake. The weather was hot and humid, so we were so glad the cabin had AC. The house and bunkhouse were very clean, well-supplied, and extremely comfortable. Everyone loved the farmhouse sink so much that we didn’t even mind washing our dirty dishes by hand. (There is no dishwasher.) We stayed busy kayaking, tubing, swimming, fishing and relaxing. Campfires in the evening were great for roasting hot dogs and making s’mores. In our four-day stay, we never turned on any of the televisions. We made some wonderful family memories on Briggs Lake and hope to return next summer! Thanks much.

A group of us get together for “cabin” weekend once a year and picked this gem this year! We loved our time here and couldn’t have asked for anything more. The boathouse with the bedroom on top of it was so nice! It was very hot the weekend we were there, so having a window AC in that extra space is literally the only thing we would change. And it really was not a big deal as the main cabin had central air. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at the red cabin. The host communication was great and they were very kind. Our two boys loved being right on the lake with a sandy bottom for them to play right there in the water, having their own space during the day in the bunk house, playing cards/boared games with us, learning how to kayak, wake boarding on the lake. No above water beach but access to anchor and swim or just sit right in the water at the cabin. The driveway was a bit steep getting our boat in so be cautious of that if bringing a boat, we almost bottomed out. We love the ability to bring our puppies with and though most our days had rain, everyone had a great, relaxing time together. Ended too soon. Thank you again for sharing your cozy red cabin with my family!

The little red cabin exceeded expectations and provided my family and I a wonderful experience together. Kara and Dan are extremely warm and proactive in their communications and clearly go to great lengths to create a warm, welcoming and high quality experience for their guests. We couldn't have been more pleased. Pro-Tips for anyone bringing little ones: The kids had a blast and there are many games and activities provided for kids. We were glad we spotted the markers before the tots, so check the drawers if there is a risk of unwanted wall art. We also moved the coffee table books to the boat house for safe keeping. The doors lock easily from outside, but are challenging to secure from the inside for little escape artists.

We enjoyed our stay. The boat house was a great additional space to spread out! The house had everything we needed. Plenty of dishes, cups, towels, etc. I would recommend to any one visiting the area!

The cozy red cabin was the perfect getaway for us. We were able to bring our two medium sized doodles along. It had all the conveniences of home. Very clean and updated cabin. We would definitely stay here again!

We were looking for a place that wasn’t too far from the Saint Cloud area and this little red cabin was perfect! It was very clean and had all the essentials inside. The area was very quiet and peaceful - we would have loved to stay longer and spend more time here! Thank you Kara for a wonderful stay!

Our family stayed at the Cozy Red Cabin for a week. Despite some rainy weather, we had a wonderful time. The hosts are lovely and responsive. The cabin is very well appointed and clean. The only thing I would add is a line somewhere in the yard to hang wet swimsuits and beach towels. Although we found the water of Briggs lake too green and algae for pleasant swimming at the shore, we had good fishing right off the dock. It has made our 7 year old granddaughter a new fishing enthusiast, catching a Sunny every time her worm hit the water. Also caught Crappies, Walley, and Northerns. The skiing and tubing where great. I appreciate that the beds were comfortable. Saturday night the bar and grill down the road had live music outside where families with kids gathered to eat, dance, and play yard games. Great local vibe and short trip from the metro area to get there. This was a wonderful cabin with great hosts and we found it to be a very good value. We would love to visit again. Thank you, Kara

Absolutely Wonderful Stay at Kara’s Cabin!I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Kara’s Cabin! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The lake was beautiful, the home was cozy, and the kitchen was incredibly well-equipped.. I got so much baking and cooking done! The crockpot especially came in clutch and made our four-day stay feel like home.On our last day, our flights were unexpectedly canceled, and Kara went above and beyond to help us stay another night. My Venmo wasn’t working, and she was so kind and understanding, allowing me to just leave cash on the counter.. that level of trust and grace is rare and so appreciated.Kara’s communication was excellent, she responded quickly, and truly made sure we had everything we needed. The entire experience was peaceful, comfortable, and memorable. Everything we could’ve possibly needed was already there.This cabin and Kara’s hospitality made the trip unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be back..one for the books, for sure!

Perfect winter weekend get away. Simple little touches throughout the cabin to made us comfortable and feel at home. Warm fireplace combined with the heat from the furnace warmed the place up fast after being outside in the cold winter air. Owner was easy going and quick to respond.
Perfect winter weekend get away. Simple little touches throughout the cabin to made us comfortable and feel at home. Warm fireplace combined with the heat from the furnace warmed the place up fast after being outside in the cold winter air. Owner was easy going and quick to respond.

We had a great time at the Cozy Red Cabin! Unfortunately, we stayed during a freak spring snowstorm, so we weren't able to enjoy the outdoors at all. However, we had a very relaxing long weekend, filled with family games, movies, lots of cooking, and watching the snow fall over the lake. The house is set up wonderfully for a small family and a pup or 2. Kara and her husband were awesome, super responsive and great to work thru the detail with! They even came mid-snowstorm to shovel for us. We would definitely stay there again.

However, we had a very relaxing long weekend, filled with family games, movies, lots of cooking, and watching the snow fall over the lake. The house is set up wonderfully for a small family and a pup or 2. Kara and her husband were awesome, super responsive and great to work thru the detail with! They even came mid-snowstorm to shovel for us. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a great stay at the red cabin. The host communication was great and they were very kind. Our two boys loved being right on the lake with a sandy bottom for them to play right there in the water, having their own space during the day in the bunk house, playing cards/boared games with us, learning how to kayak, wake boarding on the lake. No above water beach but access to anchor and swim or just sit right in the water at the cabin. The driveway was a bit steep getting our boat in so be cautious of that if bringing a boat, we almost bottomed out. We love the ability to bring our puppies with and though most our days had rain, everyone had a great, relaxing time together. Ended too soon. Thank you again for sharing your cozy red cabin with my family!

The little red cabin exceeded expectations and provided my family and I a wonderful experience together. Kara and Dan are extremely warm and proactive in their communications and clearly go to great lengths to create a warm, welcoming and high quality experience for their guests. We couldn't have been more pleased. Pro-Tips for anyone bringing little ones: The kids had a blast and there are many games and activities provided for kids. We were glad we spotted the markers before the tots, so check the drawers if there is a risk of unwanted wall art. We also moved the coffee table books to the boat house for safe keeping. The doors lock easily from outside, but are challenging to secure from the inside for little escape artists.

Our family stayed at the Cozy Red Cabin for a week. Despite some rainy weather, we had a wonderful time. The hosts are lovely and responsive. The cabin is very well appointed and clean. The only thing I would add is a line somewhere in the yard to hang wet swimsuits and beach towels. Although we found the water of Briggs lake too green and algae for pleasant swimming at the shore, we had good fishing right off the dock. It has made our 7 year old granddaughter a new fishing enthusiast, catching a Sunny every time her worm hit the water. Also caught Crappies, Walley, and Northerns. The skiing and tubing where great. I appreciate that the beds were comfortable. Saturday night the bar and grill down the road had live music outside where families with kids gathered to eat, dance, and play yard games. Great local vibe and short trip from the metro area to get there. This was a wonderful cabin with great hosts and we found it to be a very good value. We would love to visit again. Thank you, Kara

This was a fantastic place to stay. In reality, the photos do not do it justice for how cozy and spacious the property is. My friends and I already have plans to go back this summer when the docks are in. Great view for a bonfire, tons of sleeping space and right down the street from the Palmer House, a great little bar if you feel like getting out for lunch, dinner or just to meet some great people and have a nice night out. Having kayaks on the property makes it easy to get on the water as well, if you don’t have a boat. 10/10 stay!

This place is so beautiful (completely renovated) and clean. Great location on the lake with a dock and kayaks. We just loved our time, having a peaceful vacation on the lake. 10/10 would recommend.

We were looking for a place that wasn’t too far from the Saint Cloud area and this little red cabin was perfect! It was very clean and had all the essentials inside. The area was very quiet and peaceful - we would have loved to stay longer and spend more time here! Thank you Kara for a wonderful stay!

The lake was beautiful, the home was cozy, and the kitchen was incredibly well-equipped.. I got so much baking and cooking done! The crockpot especially came in clutch and made our four-day stay feel like home.On our last day, our flights were unexpectedly canceled, and Kara went above and beyond to help us stay another night. My Venmo wasn’t working, and she was so kind and understanding, allowing me to just leave cash on the counter.. that level of trust and grace is rare and so appreciated.Kara’s communication was excellent, she responded quickly, and truly made sure we had everything we needed. The entire experience was peaceful, comfortable, and memorable. Everything we could’ve possibly needed was already there.This cabin and Kara’s hospitality made the trip unforgettable. My family (ages 8-73) completely enjoyed our stay on Briggs Lake. The weather was hot and humid, so we were so glad the cabin had AC. The house and bunkhouse were very clean, well-supplied, and extremely comfortable. Everyone loved the farmhouse sink so much that we didn’t even mind washing our dirty dishes by hand. (There is no dishwasher.) We stayed busy kayaking, tubing, swimming, fishing and relaxing. Campfires in the evening were great for roasting hot dogs and making s’mores. In our four-day stay, we never turned on any of the televisions. We made some wonderful family memories on Briggs Lake and hope to return next summer! Thanks much.

We enjoyed our stay. The boat house was a great additional space to spread out! The house had everything we needed. Plenty of dishes, cups, towels, etc. I would recommend to any one visiting the area!
