This is a lovely hotel surrounded by green open spaces. The hotel is newly refurbished so all furnishing in the public areas and the room we stayed in are new. The restaurant serves a beautiful buffet style breakfast and serves a basic but wholesome menu for lunch and dinner. Food quality is excellent and the staff extremely kind and attentive. Plenty of parking is available but to go to central Amsterdam, the bus is the best choice. The stop is less than 100 meters away and takes you directly to Amsterdam central. The villages of Volendam and Edam al almost within walking distance.

Veldig fornøyd med oppholdet på 2 netter som familie. Meget rent hotel, hyggelig resepsjonist, god og variert frokost buffé. Det som manglet var badekåpe og tøfler inn i rommet, da var det behov for å benytte svømmebassengen. Personale som jobber på restauranten ( frokost) kunne være mer hyggelige og smiler og snakker med gjestene. De virket litt sure. Ellers anbefaler hotellet og kommer gjerne tilbake.

Hele prettige mensen fijn hotel jammer van de jonge medewerker in de avond op bardienst op de 27ste deze maart die voetbal kijken en stoer doen met zijn vriendjes belangrijker vond dan gasten correct helpen en te woord staan, ook jammer dat deze vriendjes de kleine dikke eigenaar te grabbel gooide voor ons en de rest van de gasten! Mijn vrouw en ik hebben er echt een rot avond doorgehad en dat op onze anniversary heel heel erg vervelend. Voor de rest wat een uitmuntend en vriendelijk personeel in dit van der valk hotel!

L’albergo è meraviglioso nonostante ci siamo stati in fase di ristrutturazione. Camera ampia e bagno con doccia e vasca. Nel complesso pulita. Immersa nel verde e con vista sul fiume. Il ristorante offre un ottima cucina (a cena abbiamo spesa circa 80€ per 3 secondi molto abbondanti e 2 dolci). Abbiamo avuto un misundarstending con la colazione e una giornata ce l’hanno messa sul conto. I servizi di trasporto purtroppo sono scarsi e a noi è capitato 2 volte saltassero la corsa.

Mooie kamers schoon goed uitgerust. Zwembed was lekker om even af te koelen. Onze kamers zaten bij de trap waar ook een soort loopplank was voor koffers, kinderen gingen hier overheen rennen dat was erg gehorig.

The room was smelled mold, and spayed air freshener which caused even worse. The worst part was no Wi-Fi internet service in our room. We reported the issue the first day after check-in, but no constructional answers for that. No technician came to fix it or no compensation for the inconvenience. The receptionist kept telling me that they can’t do anything because the manager was not there. And no one knew when the manager will reply the emails to address the issue due to the coming weekends. It was absolutely unacceptable no one in the building taking any responsibility to address customer’s requirement. We were very disappointed, and won’t recommend the hotel at all.

The newly renovated hotel is beautiful. The breakfast was great. The only thing I could have mentioning; the bathroom is spacious but the shower is tiny. However, there is also a bath. All and all, a fantastic stay

Unser Aufenthalt in dem Hotel war sehr schön. Wir wollten Silvester in Amsterdam verbringen, jedoch waren die Unterkünfte in der Innenstadt natürlich sehr teuer. Deshalb haben wir uns für das Van der Valk Hotel Volendam in der Nähe von Amsterdam entschieden. Innerhalb von knapp 20 Minuten kommt man mit dem Bus vom Hotel (die Bushaltestelle liegt direkt am Hotel) bis in die Innenstadt von Amsterdam. Selbst nachts sind wir super mit dem Bus wieder zurück zum Hotel gekommen. Das Hotel liegt ansonsten sehr ruhig. Wir sind gemeinsam mit mehreren Freunden gereist, die leider ein Zimmer mit Blick auf einen Parkplatz bzw. eine Hauswand hatten. Wir hatten vorher bei “Wünschen” angegeben, dass wir uns über ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den See freuen würden und haben auch ein solches bekommen. Es lohnt sich also diesen Wunsch bei der Buchung anzugeben. Unser Blick war echt super! Man muss allerdings beachten, dass bei einigen Zimmern mit Blick auf den See die Balkone keine Abtrennung zwischen einander haben. Wir waren allerdings in dem Gebäudeteil untergebracht, wo die Balkone jeweils abgetrennt waren. Ggf. es lohnt sich auch dahingehend bei der Buchung einen Wunsch zu hinterlassen, wenn einem das wichtig ist. Insgesamt hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt im Hotel Van der Valk Volendam. (Noch eine kurze Info: Bei Hotels.com wird die check in Zeit um 15 Uhr abgegeben und die check out Zeit um 11 Uhr. Allerdings gibt das Hotel selber diese um 14 Uhr und um 12 Uhr an, was auch für uns galt.)

Wir waren allerdings in dem Gebäudeteil untergebracht, wo die Balkone jeweils abgetrennt waren. Ggf. es lohnt sich auch dahingehend bei der Buchung einen Wunsch zu hinterlassen, wenn einem das wichtig ist. Insgesamt hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt im Hotel Van der Valk Volendam. (Noch eine kurze Info: Bei Hotels.com wird die check in Zeit um 15 Uhr abgegeben und die check out Zeit um 11 Uhr. Allerdings gibt das Hotel selber diese um 14 Uhr und um 12 Uhr an, was auch für uns galt.)

The room was smelled mold, and spayed air freshener which caused even worse. The worst part was no Wi-Fi internet service in our room. We reported the issue the first day after check-in, but no constructional answers for that. No technician came to fix it or no compensation for the inconvenience. The receptionist kept telling me that they can’t do anything because the manager was not there. And no one knew when the manager will reply the emails to address the issue due to the coming weekends. It was absolutely unacceptable no one in the building taking any responsibility to address customer’s requirement. We were very disappointed, and won’t recommend the hotel at all.

We stayed there several times in the last12 years. The hotel maintains its good quality of service and comfort. The rooms are large, an excellent breakfast buffet, free parking, and an easy way to go to Amsterdam by public transportation (18 min). Very good restaurant on the premises. We highly recommend it!

For some reason my room card (room 413) wouldn't work on the 3rd evening, which was a problem as it was after 10.30 in the evening, and i was a single 69 year old traveller. I returned to reception and the card was reset, i returned again to the 4th floor to find it still wasn't working. A member of staff then escorted me to the access door on the 4th floor to ensure it worked the 3rd time.

This is a lovely hotel surrounded by green open spaces. The hotel is newly refurbished so all furnishing in the public areas and the room we stayed in are new. The restaurant serves a beautiful buffet style breakfast and serves a basic but wholesome menu for lunch and dinner. Food quality is excellent and the staff extremely kind and attentive. Plenty of parking is available but to go to central Amsterdam, the bus is the best choice. The stop is less than 100 meters away and takes you directly to Amsterdam central. The villages of Volendam and Edam al almost within walking distance.

Veldig fornøyd med oppholdet på 2 netter som familie. Meget rent hotel, hyggelig resepsjonist, god og variert frokost buffé. Det som manglet var badekåpe og tøfler inn i rommet, da var det behov for å benytte svømmebassengen. Personale som jobber på restauranten ( frokost) kunne være mer hyggelige og smiler og snakker med gjestene. De virket litt sure. Ellers anbefaler hotellet og kommer gjerne tilbake.

Hele prettige mensen fijn hotel jammer van de jonge medewerker in de avond op bardienst op de 27ste deze maart die voetbal kijken en stoer doen met zijn vriendjes belangrijker vond dan gasten correct helpen en te woord staan, ook jammer dat deze vriendjes de kleine dikke eigenaar te grabbel gooide voor ons en de rest van de gasten! Mijn vrouw en ik hebben er echt een rot avond doorgehad en dat op onze anniversary heel heel erg vervelend. Voor de rest wat een uitmuntend en vriendelijk personeel in dit van der valk hotel!

Unser Aufenthalt in dem Hotel war sehr schön. Wir wollten Silvester in Amsterdam verbringen, jedoch waren die Unterkünfte in der Innenstadt natürlich sehr teuer. Deshalb haben wir uns für das Van der Valk Hotel Volendam in der Nähe von Amsterdam entschieden. Innerhalb von knapp 20 Minuten kommt man mit dem Bus vom Hotel (die Bushaltestelle liegt direkt am Hotel) bis in die Innenstadt von Amsterdam. Selbst nachts sind wir super mit dem Bus wieder zurück zum Hotel gekommen. Das Hotel liegt ansonsten sehr ruhig. Wir sind gemeinsam mit mehreren Freunden gereist, die leider ein Zimmer mit Blick auf einen Parkplatz bzw. eine Hauswand hatten. Wir hatten vorher bei “Wünschen” angegeben, dass wir uns über ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den See freuen würden und haben auch ein solches bekommen. Es lohnt sich also diesen Wunsch bei der Buchung anzugeben. Unser Blick war echt super! Man muss allerdings beachten, dass bei einigen Zimmern mit Blick auf den See die Balkone keine Abtrennung zwischen einander haben. The newly renovated hotel is beautiful. The breakfast was great. The only thing I could have mentioning; the bathroom is spacious but the shower is tiny. However, there is also a bath. All and all, a fantastic stay

We are a family of three with a 9 year old boy, and we loved our stay here! I think it was one of the most aesthetically pleasing hotel stays. The place was clean and spacious. Our son loved the scent of their shampoo, which we got to purchase through their contactless kiosk ( so convenient!), and he says he wants to come stay here again! 😁

The only thing that I found slightly sparse was the fact that there was only one luggage cart, and it was not available when I arrived. Which meant that I had to lug my heavy luggage myself. The receptionist was unable to find a helping hand, but ended up helping me herself, which I appreciated. But I do feel that one cart is simply not enough. The renovated room was awesome. Very comfortable and clean. I would have liked a normal coffee maker though. The little cups make strong coffee and there was no milk available. I did appreciate finding real glassware. Bigger mugs would have been wonderful. I would suggest that the hotel prohibits smoking on the balcony. The rooms that bordered my balcony had people in them who smokes. One cigarettes, the other cannabis. So I really could not enjoy the balcony, But... in general I would gladly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay near beautiful Edam and Volendam.
