Great location with a very short walk across the road to Chesterman beach. House is very clean and well stocked. Easy to cook in, hot tub is private and right out the door from the one bedroom. Fireplace in the living room is so nice to relax by and the skylights add lots of natural light. Property is so nice and well maintained, they have a luggage wagon to bring your bags from the parking spot to the cabin in the back of the property over a short walk on a rock path. They have it well lit so at night it’s easy to see coming and going.

This was a great setting for our 3 night romantic winter getaway to Tofino and Pacific Rim National Park. Arriving after a long drive in relentless rain, we were delighted to discover this welcoming little cabin toasty warm, with flameless candles glowing and a dish of Swiss chocolates. Tucked away from the street behind the main house, it’s surrounded by hedges for privacy and green views out every window. Appreciated the fast WiFi and Netflix to cozy up on the sofa next to the gas wood stove. The jacuzzi was fantastic after a walk on the beach (right across the street). Everything was extremely clean and well maintained. 10/10 would stay again.

Easy to find. Convenient parking spot. Walking up to the shack is very charming. Like an English secret garden. The cottage is clean and has everything you need to make your stay lovely. The hosts are very organized and they have thought of everything. The rooms are lovely and well decorated. It has a west coast vibe for sure. The deck out front and out back provide loads of seating in such a private setting. The bathroom is lovely and again the amenities are all there if you need them. The hot tub is fabulous and in such a lush green and private area. Big towels were provided. Birds and squirrels kept us company as we soaked out troubles away. The outdoor shower was perfect!! The kitchen has it all and plenty of space to create meals. This property is almost across the street from the beach access so getting to the beach is easy and the host provides a wagon to help you cart your things to and from the beach. This was our 25th wedding anniversary get away and we couldn’t be more happy about our time at the Cedar Shack Cottage. We will be back. Thank you 🙏

This. Is. IT. We are seasoned travelers and this cottage is one of the Very BEST places we've ever visited. It's charm, location and amenities match everything Tofino. You'll be impressed by proximity to the best beaches, cleanliness and comfort, ease of cooking, relaxing, bathing and socializing. Large indoor and outdoor hang out areas. Starry skies in the hot tub. They created amazing privacy and beauty all around. The hosts are kind and responsive, too!

This is a really lovely, cosy property hidden away near one of the most beautiful beaches in Tofino. I loved being able to get there in one minute! The cabin has everything you need, including just about anything you can think of in the bathroom, plus a fully fitted out kitchen and washer and tumble dryer too. Hot tub was lovely and perfect for stargazing. It was extremely peaceful and a short drive into Tofino and all the little walks around. Entry instructions very simple and easy communication with hosts before arrival. Would thoroughly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Close to everything we wanted to do and could hear the ocean at night which was a bonus. The little wagon to transport our belongings was very handy. Hot tub was perfect after a long day of exploring all the different beaches. We would definitely stay here again.

Close to Chesterman Beach. Very clean and suite had everything we needed to dine in and unwind! Beds were very comfy and hot tub was a great way to end long idyllic days on the beach and forest walks. Barbara and Daniel are great hosts! Definitely recommend Cedar Shack!

Cedar Shack was a very clean very well-equipped rental for our family of 3. It was very close to the beach, and we would definitely stay there again. Tofino and the Pacifc Rim NP area are awesome. Great restaurant recommendations from the hosts as well!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cedar Shack. The property is lovely. It's clean, quiet and has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. Beach access is super close ... a one minute walk! It's great to soak in the hot tub at the end of day and listen to the surf. We highly recommend the Cedar Shack!

We were already in Tofino staying at a different resort and decided to stay the weekend. Fortunately, the Cedar Shack was available. It's a cute space - clean, well-appointed and quick walk to Chesterman Beach. Booking, check-in and all communication with the host was great. Only thing to mention is that while the unit is reasonably private, it is located on the owner's property which wasn't clear in the listing. No big deal. Just an FYI.

We could wave to the construction workers from the kitchen window while having our coffee. It significantly reduces the privacy of the property and while construction didn't start before 9 AM it was quiet noisy and at one point the entire building shook as the construction equipment moved cross the site.

The Cedar Shack exceeded our expectations. We had such a fun time in Tofino on a couples surf trip. Super clean and perfect little cottage in the best location. Just across the beach is the most beautiful beach walk either direction. Will definitely be back!

The location on Chesterman Beach is great. It is set back from the road and very quiet. The hot tub was lovely and private. The furniture could be updated for better comfort.

We could wave to the construction workers from the kitchen window while having our coffee. It significantly reduces the privacy of the property and while construction didn't start before 9 AM it was quiet noisy and at one point the entire building shook as the construction equipment moved cross the site.

Incredibly impressed by the accommodation at the Cedar Shack, the attention to detail was amazing… the was absolutely nothing missing that we needed to make our short 3 day stay perfect!! Loved the privacy and the beautiful garden setting…very impressive…we will be sharing this lovely place with all our friends!!

We were already in Tofino staying at a different resort and decided to stay the weekend. Fortunately, the Cedar Shack was available. It's a cute space - clean, well-appointed and quick walk to Chesterman Beach. Booking, check-in and all communication with the host was great. Only thing to mention is that while the unit is reasonably private, it is located on the owner's property which wasn't clear in the listing. No big deal. Just an FYI.

Four of us stayed for 4 days in October 2024. The VRBO was absolutely perfect with nothing spared. Our host does a fabulous job of taking care of your every wish. Very comfortable and just a minutes walk to the beach. And the weather was unexpected...so warm and sunny mostly. Chesterman Beach is so beautiful. And the whole area is so spectacular. Fabulous wide and paved bike trails from Toffino to Uceulet. Thanks for the memories!!

This. Is. IT. We are seasoned travelers and this cottage is one of the Very BEST places we've ever visited. It's charm, location and amenities match everything Tofino. You'll be impressed by proximity to the best beaches, cleanliness and comfort, ease of cooking, relaxing, bathing and socializing. Large indoor and outdoor hang out areas. Starry skies in the hot tub. They created amazing privacy and beauty all around. The hosts are kind and responsive, too!

This is a really lovely, cosy property hidden away near one of the most beautiful beaches in Tofino. I loved being able to get there in one minute! The cabin has everything you need, including just about anything you can think of in the bathroom, plus a fully fitted out kitchen and washer and tumble dryer too. Hot tub was lovely and perfect for stargazing. It was extremely peaceful and a short drive into Tofino and all the little walks around. Entry instructions very simple and easy communication with hosts before arrival. Would thoroughly recommend.

It was a wonderful experience. The place had everything we needed.It was private, quiet and close to the beach.The rooms were well appointed. Barbara had even included a binder which included everything from how to operate the hot tub to restaurants. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Close to Chesterman Beach. Very clean and suite had everything we needed to dine in and unwind! Beds were very comfy and hot tub was a great way to end long idyllic days on the beach and forest walks. Barbara and Daniel are great hosts! Definitely recommend Cedar Shack!

After a day of adventuring it's the perfect spot to warm up and relax. Hot tub is icing on the cake. Being mins to the beach was lovely.

The Cedar Shack exceeded our expectations. We had such a fun time in Tofino on a couples surf trip. Super clean and perfect little cottage in the best location. Just across the beach is the most beautiful beach walk either direction. Will definitely be back!

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Close to everything we wanted to do and could hear the ocean at night which was a bonus. The little wagon to transport our belongings was very handy. Hot tub was perfect after a long day of exploring all the different beaches. We would definitely stay here again.

What a magical place! Our highlight was watching the shooting stars light up the sky while sitting in the hot tub. Very private, clean, and comfortable. And only steps to the beach. A little hidden gem! We will be back!

Very private property with fantastic amenities! Great hot tub and deck areas to relax, with an easy walk to the beach for surfing and beach combing. We couldn't recommend the place more.

Very cute cabin in a quaint setting. Everything worked well. We didn’t have time to use the hot tub but the property is well laid out. Such handy access to the beach. Very enjoyable stay.

Loved staying at this property. Close to the beach, ample amount of space. Loved stepping outside and hearing the waves and the gardens onsite were beautiful. The hosts (Barb especially who we talked to for a bit) were lovely and made us feel so welcome. It’s worth noting that it is not air conditioned so it can get stuffy on warmer days in the afternoon but it was easily managed by opening the windows, and there were plenty of screened doors and windows to keep the cottage comfortable. I would recommend this property and hope to stay here again if/when we return to the area!!
