This home was so well maintained, furnished and the location and view were amazing!Being right on the river was so peaceful and we loved watching the morning activity on it, including the goose family and their baby.Amazing kitchen and baths as well.Would definitely stay again. Would only suggest repairing the stairs down to the water so kids could have waded and fished. We did walk a mile to a park near by that had access to the river.

Spent a week at this rental. Had a great time. Location was a 10/10. Home is located right on the river banks. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfy. Interior decor was gorgeous. Just a few things that weren’t exactly as expected: - 1-ply toilet paper in main bathroom. As a woman this isn’t a great experience - at 4am I received a text telling me we were being noisy. My husband and I were dead asleep and were woken by the text. We were not making any noise. No other visitors were with us at this time - getting down to river bank was a bit sketchy. No dock, just some old stairs that have met their lifespan - goose poop all over the back yard. You can’t enjoy the lawn - house is turned over quickly and little details are missed on the cleaning like dead flies on the floor, doors have dust and build up. Exterior covered in cobwebs - BBQ was not working All that said we would stay again because he really it was a comfortable stay and the location can’t be beat. Neighbors were great. The small details are a reflection of the hired maintenance team, not of the owners standards.

This home was absolutely everything it said it would be! It was more house than we needed, but we just couldn't find anything prettier inside or out and we were all so glad we chose to stay here. The view of the river is just outstanding. There were just 4 of us, so we each had our own rooms and only 2 had to share a bathroom. All of the rooms are nicely sized so no one felt slighted. The showers are OUTSTANDING, especially the one downstairs. We stayed in a couple of nights which was great, b/c we had plenty of space to spread out and prep food and drink and enjoy the terrific hot tub. If I ever need to rent a place in the greater Portland area, this place is the obvious choice! The coffee shop down the street is terrific and there is a Voodoo pretty close as well. Everything is an easy drive away! Absolutely stellar stay!

Beautiful place with wonderful views throughout the day. We really enjoyed our stay. The home was equipped with everything we needed, from the kitchen items, bathroom, washroom. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking.

We loved staying here. The views of the River were incredible. All the king size beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub, the access to the river, and being able to sit outside at the table and fire pit to enjoy the incredible Oregon weather. Highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The view of the river greeted us as we walked through the doors and we watched the river flow throughout our rainy stay. There were plenty of bedrooms and sleeping options including the finished basement which felt comfy and cozy for the young adults in our group. An added bit of charm were the three gas fireplaces, including one in the dining/kitchen area. The travel into the city from this location was doable and we ran into minimal traffic.Thank you for a great weekend.

Family get together for our younger granddaughter’s graduation from Lewis & Clark College in Portland. This home is fab! We were pleased to have 2 female geese who had made the back lawn. Everything worked well from hot water to spa & great gas grill.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a stunning home nestled along the Willamette River for our team retreat, and I cannot recommend it enough. We needed a home for our family to gather. This was a great house for our needs. Booking, checkin and communication was very easy. The view of the river was great and it is very quiet. And, we got an extra hour for late check out. However, the grill was quite problematic. It was filthy and the electric starter did not work so needed to take the grills off to manually start it with a lighter. I alerted management and they sent someone over within a few hours but the problem wasn’t fixed. The grill was central to our family gathering as grilling is much easier than oven and stovetop cooking to feed 12 people for 3 days.

This home was perfect for our extended family. We had 6 adults and 4 children, 7 through 13. The down stairs was perfect hangout place for kids. The king beds are really comfortable. The kitchen is a great place for cooking and talking. Front room has gorgeous view to river. Bathrooms and showers are really nice. The stairs down to river could be much safer. There are 20 concrete steps with no railing, then 17 woodsteps with a wood railing, but steps are uneven. At the end of stairs, you have to sit down then step down on rocks to get to level sand. This beach access is noted in the description. The small beach is great and you can get right into water from here. There is a public access ramp less than 1/2 block from home. Our 81 year old was able to get to beach from here but with assistance. All in all we had a wonderful time and will let others know what a great vacation home this is

We were in Portland for our son’s wedding and stayed at River Forest Retreat. It was perfect for the 9 of us. Kings in each bedroom. Comfy beds and bedding. Clean. And the outside patio was wonderful with a beautiful view of the Willamette River. We would love to stay again.

The Home and the Location were Beautiful! It appeared that the home had been turned over quickly, the floors had lots of debris and there were spots on the sofa covered by pillows. There was dirty laundry piled in the space behind the laundry room and one of the bathrooms had no towels. The kitchen was clean but there was not enough dish soap or dishwasher soap or garbage bags to complete our cleaning. The beds were clean and comfortable with good pillows. The hot tub was enjoyed although the tub was very soapy. I found it irritating that I was recruited for early check in and late check out for additional fees. It then denied both. If safety concern, there was a communications wire on the ground in front of the house. There were keys to turn on the gas for the fireplace but no instructions to light the fireplace. We opted to put the Yule log on the TV as a safer option. The stove burners had to be cleaned to stop the starters from continued sparking.

We hosted our family for a get together near where they all live. We enjoyed the view, the house and the neighborhood during our four night mid week visit.The house was well stocked, clean and it was a great meeting place for our family. We would recommend it to other visitors.

If you can't tell by the title, the location of this house is wonderful. Other things we appreciated included the five king beds, the two large bathrooms that were not attached to a bedroom (so they are easier for a whole group to access), and the outdoor accoutrements.

Our stay was amazing. The location is great and our view was beautiful. One of the reasons we picked this house is the king sized beds in all the rooms. Extra family room downstairs was perfect for games or “quiet” time. Spacious, but cozy house. LOVED IT!

The “River House” was perfect for our crew. We were in Oregon for a family wedding and the house was a wonderful home base for us. It was clean, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Views of the river were amazing and the kitchen was well equipped for our needs. When we had a little problem with the coffee maker the property manager immediately jumped in to solve the issue. Would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay – I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting for my daughter’s graduation weekend. The layout of the home was ideal: the main bedrooms were nicely separated from the patio and basement areas, so those who stayed up late didn’t disturb anyone needing rest. I was also impressed by how well-stocked the kitchen was – every cabinet had thoughtful extras, and we had everything we needed and more! We also appreciated the abundance of fresh towels, which came in handy with a full house and a busy weekend. It was a big milestone weekend — we even met the boyfriend’s family — and this home made it all feel comfortable, relaxed, and memorable. We had an unforgettable weekend in an outstanding space – thank you for helping make it so special!

I was also impressed by how well-stocked the kitchen was – every cabinet had thoughtful extras, and we had everything we needed and more! We also appreciated the abundance of fresh towels, which came in handy with a full house and a busy weekend. It was a big milestone weekend — we even met the boyfriend’s family — and this home made it all feel comfortable, relaxed, and memorable. We had an unforgettable weekend in an outstanding space – thank you for helping make it so special!

This home was perfect for our extended family. We had 6 adults and 4 children, 7 through 13. The down stairs was perfect hangout place for kids. The king beds are really comfortable. The kitchen is a great place for cooking and talking. Front room has gorgeous view to river. Bathrooms and showers are really nice. The stairs down to river could be much safer. There are 20 concrete steps with no railing, then 17 woodsteps with a wood railing, but steps are uneven. At the end of stairs, you have to sit down then step down on rocks to get to level sand. This beach access is noted in the description. The small beach is great and you can get right into water from here. There is a public access ramp less than 1/2 block from home. Our 81 year old was able to get to beach from here but with assistance. All in all we had a wonderful time and will let others know what a great vacation home this is

Spent a week at this rental. Had a great time. Location was a 10/10. Home is located right on the river banks. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfy. Interior decor was gorgeous. Just a few things that weren’t exactly as expected: - 1-ply toilet paper in main bathroom. As a woman this isn’t a great experience - at 4am I received a text telling me we were being noisy. My husband and I were dead asleep and were woken by the text. We were not making any noise. No other visitors were with us at this time - getting down to river bank was a bit sketchy. No dock, just some old stairs that have met their lifespan - goose poop all over the back yard. You can’t enjoy the lawn - house is turned over quickly and little details are missed on the cleaning like dead flies on the floor, doors have dust and build up. Exterior covered in cobwebs - BBQ was not working All that said we would stay again because he really it was a comfortable stay and the location can’t be beat. Neighbors were great. The small details are a reflection of the hired maintenance team, not of the owners standards.

The Home and the Location were Beautiful! It appeared that the home had been turned over quickly, the floors had lots of debris and there were spots on the sofa covered by pillows. There was dirty laundry piled in the space behind the laundry room and one of the bathrooms had no towels. The kitchen was clean but there was not enough dish soap or dishwasher soap or garbage bags to complete our cleaning. The beds were clean and comfortable with good pillows. The hot tub was enjoyed although the tub was very soapy. I found it irritating that I was recruited for early check in and late check out for additional fees. It then denied both. If safety concern, there was a communications wire on the ground in front of the house. There were keys to turn on the gas for the fireplace but no instructions to light the fireplace. We opted to put the Yule log on the TV as a safer option. The stove burners had to be cleaned to stop the starters from continued sparking.

The “River House” was perfect for our crew. We were in Oregon for a family wedding and the house was a wonderful home base for us. It was clean, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Views of the river were amazing and the kitchen was well equipped for our needs. When we had a little problem with the coffee maker the property manager immediately jumped in to solve the issue. Would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. There were a couple of small things we needed and the property manager was immediately responsive, even on Sunday evening. The view is spectacular and the kitchen was well equipped with a very nice gas stove and the knives were sharp, which is a first ever for a vacation rental for me!

We needed a home for our family to gather. This was a great house for our needs. Booking, checkin and communication was very easy. The view of the river was great and it is very quiet. And, we got an extra hour for late check out. However, the grill was quite problematic. It was filthy and the electric starter did not work so needed to take the grills off to manually start it with a lighter. I alerted management and they sent someone over within a few hours but the problem wasn’t fixed. The grill was central to our family gathering as grilling is much easier than oven and stovetop cooking to feed 12 people for 3 days.

Good place in a good spot but weather changed and it was impossible to figure out the thermostat and the property manager not helpful ie "send us a picture". We gave up trying to figure it out when we saw that it thought the date was in June---three months ago. We were all in our mid 70s and the stairway downstairs was borderline. It all worked out but it could be better.

This home was so well maintained, furnished and the location and view were amazing!Being right on the river was so peaceful and we loved watching the morning activity on it, including the goose family and their baby.Amazing kitchen and baths as well.Would definitely stay again. Would only suggest repairing the stairs down to the water so kids could have waded and fished. We did walk a mile to a park near by that had access to the river.

We recently stayed at the River Forest Retreat as we were visiting from the East coast for a family wedding in Portland. We spent so much time outside watching the boats and all of the water activities. It's in a lovely neighborhood and many of us took walks around and felt completely safe. The house is perfect and had everything we needed for all 11 of us. Plenty of room for the little kids, (5 and 2) to play. Water and children scare me, but there are many steps down to the river, so the kids were not tempted to go down there on their own. I was in charge of finding the house for all of us. Everyone said, "you nailed it!" Don't hesitate to book this home. You won't regret it.

This home was absolutely everything it said it would be! It was more house than we needed, but we just couldn't find anything prettier inside or out and we were all so glad we chose to stay here. The view of the river is just outstanding. There were just 4 of us, so we each had our own rooms and only 2 had to share a bathroom. All of the rooms are nicely sized so no one felt slighted. The showers are OUTSTANDING, especially the one downstairs. We stayed in a couple of nights which was great, b/c we had plenty of space to spread out and prep food and drink and enjoy the terrific hot tub. If I ever need to rent a place in the greater Portland area, this place is the obvious choice! The coffee shop down the street is terrific and there is a Voodoo pretty close as well. Everything is an easy drive away! Absolutely stellar stay!

The dogs enjoyed morning and evening walks with lots to sniff!Our multigenerational family had a great visit and explored Portland and the area and got to come home to a comfy beautiful house!At night, the mattresses were super comfortable and everyone ages 11 to 72 had only good things to say about their sleep!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The view of the river greeted us as we walked through the doors and we watched the river flow throughout our rainy stay. There were plenty of bedrooms and sleeping options including the finished basement which felt comfy and cozy for the young adults in our group. An added bit of charm were the three gas fireplaces, including one in the dining/kitchen area. The travel into the city from this location was doable and we ran into minimal traffic.Thank you for a great weekend.

The house was beautiful and the backyard was amazing. The neighborhood was quaint and the trees were so pretty. The hot tub was great! The downstairs space accommodated hangouts of 10 people! Perfect for game nights! Close to airport and to downtown but away enough to not be in the hustle and bustle!

Lovely home, good location, the bedrooms were nice and comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, furnishing was cute, comfortable and stylish, two nice big tvs upstairs and down, and the view was spectacular! Overall great stay. Missing was the corn hole game. Saw the bags, not the boards. Overall nice stay and would rent again.

We had an amazing stay – I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting for my daughter’s graduation weekend. The layout of the home was ideal: the main bedrooms were nicely separated from the patio and basement areas, so those who stayed up late didn’t disturb anyone needing rest. It was a big milestone weekend — we even met the boyfriend’s family — and this home made it all feel comfortable, relaxed, and memorable. We had an unforgettable weekend in an outstanding space – thank you for helping make it so special!
We had an amazing stay – I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting for my daughter’s graduation weekend. The layout of the home was ideal: the main bedrooms were nicely separated from the patio and basement areas, so those who stayed up late didn’t disturb anyone needing rest. I was also impressed by how well-stocked the kitchen was – every cabinet had thoughtful extras, and we had everything we needed and more! We also appreciated the abundance of fresh towels, which came in handy with a full house and a busy weekend. It was a big milestone weekend — we even met the boyfriend’s family — and this home made it all feel comfortable, relaxed, and memorable. The house was really comfortable with a spacious great room and an awesome view. The furniture wasn't cheap particleboard either. Always appreciated!It does need an electric kettle and a broom handy.We had a wonderful retreat weekend together. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay here. There were a couple of small things we needed and the property manager was immediately responsive, even on Sunday evening. The view is spectacular and the kitchen was well equipped with a very nice gas stove and the knives were sharp, which is a first ever for a vacation rental for me!

We needed a home for our family to gather. This was a great house for our needs. Booking, checkin and communication was very easy. The view of the river was great and it is very quiet. And, we got an extra hour for late check out. However, the grill was quite problematic. It was filthy and the electric starter did not work so needed to take the grills off to manually start it with a lighter. I alerted management and they sent someone over within a few hours but the problem wasn’t fixed. The grill was central to our family gathering as grilling is much easier than oven and stovetop cooking to feed 12 people for 3 days.

This home was perfect for our extended family. We had 6 adults and 4 children, 7 through 13. The down stairs was perfect hangout place for kids. The king beds are really comfortable. The kitchen is a great place for cooking and talking. Front room has gorgeous view to river. Bathrooms and showers are really nice. The stairs down to river could be much safer. There are 20 concrete steps with no railing, then 17 woodsteps with a wood railing, but steps are uneven. At the end of stairs, you have to sit down then step down on rocks to get to level sand. This beach access is noted in the description. The small beach is great and you can get right into water from here. There is a public access ramp less than 1/2 block from home. Our 81 year old was able to get to beach from here but with assistance. All in all we had a wonderful time and will let others know what a great vacation home this is

Great location and a comfortable home to bring your family or friends. What an amazing house with views of the river. All the rooms were very nice as stated on the website. The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and pan to make dinner or bbq. The outdoor furniture needs updating ( Adirondack chairs) but the outdoor dining table was fine. I had to spend time cleaning up cobwebs and dust to use the furniture. The host provided, a bottle of delicious regional wine and coffee. The only problem we had was after checking out was trying to recover 300 of groceries accidentally delivered to the house that we weren’t able to get and was told several stories. We sent family living in the area on a 30 minute drive to pickup the groceries only to be told it was thrown away.
