woods hotel Thoiry is about 20 mins from airport and train station. Very nice clean hotel. Modern decor. Close by shopping. There’s a very good buffet restaurant adjacent to the hotel. Good food but noisy and difficult to find parking due to restaurant. Reception is usually not there. You need to ring bell and wait for them to come. Breakfast is ok. We struggled with Wi-Fi. Overall good stay out of busy Genève

Rapport qualité prix correct. Surpris de découvrir l’hôtel attenant à une cimenterie. Arrivé vers 17h au milieu des bétonnières au milieu du parking de l’hôtel ! Équipements intérieurs propres. Quelques petits équipements manquants : 2 verres, une poubelle dans la chambre (juste une petite dans la Sdb), une bouilloire serait un plus pour ce standing. Personnel accueillant

The hotel itself is ok for one night. The room is large and bathroom too. Clean enough. Good bed. Some noise from the autoroute. The area is really sad, industrial all around. Free parking is a plus. The owner runs the buffet restaurant Seazen next door which is a bargain and fair quality

Notre chambre n’a pas été faite tous les jours. Peu mieux faire également au niveau eco responsabilité en arrêtant de fournir des bouteilles d’eau en plastique ! Le parking à midi et le soir est totalement complet à cause du restaurant qui partage les mêmes emplacements. La réception est toujours déserte…

Déçue, impossible de se garer le soir pour les clients de l’hôtel c’est inadmissible lorsqu’on annonce “hôtel avec parking”. La longue fil d’attente pour le restaurant devant la porte d’entrée de l’hôtel, avec les clients qui ne sont pas contents que je puisse rentrer. À réfléchir à deux fois lors de mon prochain séjour pour le travail.

We arrived about 8 PM and had to ring a front desk bell a couple of times before the front desk attendant appeared, but that seems to be how it is set up. I noticed a sign that says if you arrive after 11 PM, you have to call a number. There was an elevator, and the hotel is new and quiet. It has a ramp to roll your bags up if necessary. The room was good and comfortable. There is no coffee service in the room, and the breakfast/break room downstairs does not open until 7 AM, so I find that a bit late for those who have early flights. The bathroom had a nice hot shower and was new and clean. There is a popular buffet restaurant next door that packed the parking lot and was a good place to eat. I had food prepared to go and even was able to buy a bottle of wine to go. All in all a good place to stay, a 15-minute drive to the airport.

Excellent hotel with good customer service. Only minor criticism would be surrounding area, very industrialised and not an area you would want to stroll around. Having said that we were only stopping couple of days and spent only evenings in hotel. Excellent restaurant adjacent to hotel. Would certantly use again and recommend for short stays.

Die Zimmer waren zwar an sich sauber waren jedoch gerade im Badezimmer sehr heruntergekommen. Es gab scheinbar einen schlecht reparierten Wasserschaden wodurch der Türrahmen komplett vergammelt war und an der Decke befand sich Schimmel. Es roch gerade im Badezimmer auch sehr nach dem Abfluss was durch die Nähe zur Autobahn und dem Lärm nicht besser wurde da man nachts nicht Lüften konnte. Ansonsten was das Hotel für den Preis in Ordnung und das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Séjour sympathique, hôtel très propre et calme, bien placé. Le réseau wifi est loin d’être au top , et surtout inexistant dans la salle du petit déjeuner ! Dommage .

Uns wurde erst mal ein Zimmer mit schimmligem Wasserschaden an der Decke im Flur angeboten. Nach Reklamation wurde das Zimmer problemlos getauscht. Das Hotel war sicher nicht ausgebucht, deswegen fand ich das schade, dass uns das Zimmer überhaupt angeboten wurde. Wenn alles so ,, geputzt‘‘ wurde wie der Spiegel, war es sicher nicht sauber.

Stayed overnight to collect family the following day from Geneva airport. Very clean but basic. Easy walk to shopping centre. Great restaurant next door.

We didn’t enjoy our experience at the Woods Hotel. We had issues with a smelly room to start, although once reported we were swapped immediately. However, the room we was given had dirty sheets and when we requested for the room to be made up, we returned to find the same dirty sheets, but the bed has been made. In our opinion, the restaurant next door seemed very lively and was good value for money. However, it seems that the management of the hotel spend all of their time and effort at the restaurant neglecting the hotel and its guests. The reception area was regularly unattended with nobody available to speak to. You would ring the bell consistently wait for 1015 minutes and then just give up. We expressed disappointment to the hotel manager, but he was very this interested and almost laughed us off.

I was bluntly told by one of the manager, that this hotel is a 3 stars hotel ... I believe the hotel deserve only 3 stars... There are little access to staffs other than having to ring the bell. But what was the most disappointing was that we were suppose to change room on Sunday after a 2nd night stay, ( our stay was 6 days), but we never were switched as promised. Our room was noisy, on the 1st floor, facing the front of the hotel. Also, the staff that cleaned our room, constantly turned off our AC , therefore when we came home it was always stuffy, and hot, and to boot, we had to ask the authorization to open the window. We had to do it twice during our stay. Also the room was fairly clean, it was however very small. Maybe the other rooms are larger. The breakfast was OK, not great! there was a lot of left over food from the buffet of the evening before. IE cheese.

This hotel is 3 star and it’s too far from GENEVA nearly 50 minutes by bus and also buses are limited. We booked standerd double but there was no table, no tea or coffee facilities. Even reception said they have community room but every time we went there to make tea there was no milk and nobody we saw around to ask for milk. Breakfast are very limited need to upgrade. Housekeeping is good I would say but stuff also very good especially reception lady. She always smiles and try to help us as much as she can. In TV only you can watch local channel no wifi connection. I would say this hotel 2 star. Need to upgrade a lot.

When down to the front desk to ask how to set the A/C, I was told that the A/C is not set to work, because all the A/C thought-out the hotel would have to be turned on. So, there is no A/C, rather just open a window. I then went upstairs to open the window and the window was locked. I then went downstairs to the front desk an again and asked if there was a way to open the window. I was then told that in my window someone broke the key in it. I then asked for another room and was told there were no other rooms. I then asked for the windows to be fixed. Finally, the guy from the front desk came up to my room with a half-broken key and opened the window. He told me not to press the button to close the windows because it would lock again. This was just within the first 30 minutes of my stay.

Do not let ‘Woods’ make you think the hotel is in a tranquil rural setting. Next to a cement mixing plant, an extremely busy buffet restaurant and a main motorway does not allow for lie ins!

Tout paraît très bien jusqu’à hélas lorsque vous avez une chambre qui donne sur le devant et pis encore à proximité du restaurant car à partir de la fermeture j’ai largement profité des bruits de rangements se propageant par l’ai r et dans la dalle et ça dure longtemps ; dommage car tout le reste est très bien, surtout justement le restaurant attenant qui est de grande qualité

Chambre au dessus d’un restaurant, c’est pas isolé vous pouvez dormir que quand le service est fini sinon demandez une chambre au deuxième étage au 1er c’est l’enfer

I assumed the hotel, being near the airport, would be open 24/7 but it's not the case. I couldn't make it there before 22:00 H and lost my reservation which is not refundable!

Everything was ok. Staff could have been more helpful.

Used for a stop over. Helpful staff, straightforward booking and sign in, good room. Value for money.

Nous avons séjourné le temps d’un week-end de deux nuits. L’hôtel est bien décoré mais ce n’est qu’un bel enrobage. Déjà en arrivant, personne a l’accueil nous avons dû attendre dehors pendant 15 min. À l’arrivée dans notre chambre, du mobilier était détérioré, notre chambre donnait sur le parking où se situe également le restaurant de l’hôtel. Très bruyant le soir, jusque minimum 23h avec le restaurant. Volet roulant electrique non fonctionnel et rideaux pas du tout occultants. Nous avons dormi avec les néons des lampes du parking toute la nuit. Nous avons demandé une solution pour la deuxième nuit, l’hôtel étant complet pas de possibilité de changement de chambre et le responsable a refusé de faire un geste commercial. Il nous a dit de trouver ailleurs pour la deuxième nuit ! La gestion de cet hôtel est déplorable, jamais personne à la réception, salle du petit déjeuner pas débarrassé, il ne reste que quelques table de libre à notre arrivée. Très déçu de cet hôtel, le client n’est pas du tout considéré.

The hotel wasn't terrible but it was far from airport, taxi cost a grip and theres barely anything around. Hotel is in an industrial area.
