We really enjoyed staying here, definitely the best location for a peaceful, relaxing stay! The cabin had everything we needed and it is just as pictured. The beds were very comfortable and we LOVED the screened-in porch and hot tub. We were able to build a fire and the woods surrounding the cabin were so nice. We will be back, for sure!

This little cabin was ideally located, close to town but we still felt completely alone. The hot tub and fire pit were a very welcome addition! The pots and pans could use an update since they were very lopsided and cooked our food unevenly, but that was our only complaint.

We had a good stay. We needed a relax and decompression weekend and we got it. Love the hot tub. It is one of the newer composite(not fiberglass) models and it sits lower and is easier to get into and out of. A big plus since I'm a lower leg amputee! Love the screened in porch as well. Could read and eat without biting insects bothering you. Drove 45 miles to Section, AL and ate at the Old Gin Steak House. Was well worth the drive. Saw no wildlife. Tankless hot water heater was great as well. No running out of hot water if someone stays in too long!

In over 20 years of renting cabins, this one is easily the cleanest one we've been in. There was no dust ANYWHERE. This was also a very well thought out cabin; from the hot tub setup(from having a roof over it, to the runner leading to it, to not being over-chlorinated), to the on demand hot water heater, to the controls to the lights and the front lock and on and on, everything was well thought out so it was intuitive to use. It's also insulated to the point that the only sound you hear from outside at night is the occasional train. The cabins across the road offer a view, but I would rather go to this one again.

We stayed for a long weekend and absolutely fell in love with this house in the woods. Everything was extremely clean and well stocked. We enjoyed watching the deer, the hot tub and just relaxing inside the cozy cabin. We ventured out to nearby Desoto Falls and Little River Canyon, both were beautiful. We look forward to staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Mountain Cottage! The home is beautifully decorated, spotless, and secluded. The hot tub was set at the most perfect temperature and you're minutes away by foot from the most beautiful sunsetting spots you can imagine! I highly recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to spend time away from the grind! We will definitely be coming back.

The cabin and surrounding property were beautiful. It’s truly one of the few VRBO vacation rentals where I have been able to completely relax and unwind. The host is so thoughtful and very responsive. Mentone is a gorgeous little town with some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I hope to be able to return soon!

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this charming cottage. The property was very clean, and well stocked with linens, towels and kitchenware, and the bed was really comfortable. Claudia was very pleasant and responsive, and she texted us after we arrived to make sure that everything was satisfactory. We definitely recommend this cottage.

This little cabin was ideally located, close to town but we still felt completely alone. The hot tub and fire pit were a very welcome addition! The pots and pans could use an update since they were very lopsided and cooked our food unevenly, but that was our only complaint.

Quick easy weekend stay at quiet nice cozy cabin! Perfect tucked-away spot not on road (great if you don’t require Brow view/site). Only a mile from main street of Mentone so fast to and from restaurants and places there. Comfy solid king bed and nice kitchen w/ private screened-in porch. Enjoyed it!

We stayed for a long weekend and absolutely fell in love with this house in the woods. Everything was extremely clean and well stocked. We enjoyed watching the deer, the hot tub and just relaxing inside the cozy cabin. We ventured out to nearby Desoto Falls and Little River Canyon, both were beautiful. We look forward to staying here again.

This cozy cottage in the woods was perfect for our relaxing getaway. It’s close to town but feels very private. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and we really enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub. The host had great communication with us and made us feel at home. Highly recommend!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was quiet and very relaxing. The cottage was clean and had everything that we needed. Very comfortable master bed. The hot tub was perfect! The owner left lots of information concerning the area around, things to do and places to eat,

In the words of Mary Poppins: Our stay in this cottage was "practically perfect in every way." There is little more to say about this cottage and the host. Grab some groceries before you arrive (not in Mentone - although Mentone Market is a good stop-gap) and you are set for a memorable stay in a wonderful place. The sunsets at Brow Park just down the road are unforgettable. The cottage is close to area attractions, and the area attractions are awesome. Would we come back? Yes!

We had a good stay. We needed a relax and decompression weekend and we got it. Love the hot tub. It is one of the newer composite(not fiberglass) models and it sits lower and is easier to get into and out of. A big plus since I'm a lower leg amputee! Love the screened in porch as well. Could read and eat without biting insects bothering you. Drove 45 miles to Section, AL and ate at the Old Gin Steak House. Was well worth the drive. Saw no wildlife. Tankless hot water heater was great as well. No running out of hot water if someone stays in too long!

Perfectly tucked into the woods away from the chaos of the real world! We checked in and only left once to watch the Sunset at Brow Park. It was an amazing weekend and just what we needed to unwind and recharge. Thanks bunches!

In over 20 years of renting cabins, this one is easily the cleanest one we've been in. There was no dust ANYWHERE. This was also a very well thought out cabin; from the hot tub setup(from having a roof over it, to the runner leading to it, to not being over-chlorinated), to the on demand hot water heater, to the controls to the lights and the front lock and on and on, everything was well thought out so it was intuitive to use. It's also insulated to the point that the only sound you hear from outside at night is the occasional train. The cabins across the road offer a view, but I would rather go to this one again.
