Outside of road closure and us getting there in the dark and spotty cell phone coverage - so we had a hard time finding the place - BUT once we got there - it’s just as adorable as the pics - the home is so comfortable and everything is well laid out - steps to loft are a little steep so you need to be careful - but it was a wonderful stay! Had such a great time and very private, which is exactly what we were looking for!! Thank you!

My wife and I stayed here and it was lovely! Very clean, cozy, and had everything we needed! During the day we visited local wineries and also spent the day at Monticello. We spent the evenings by a warm fire. We highly recommend!

We had a great time at the Stonemont cabin! Perfect for the two of us and our dog. Views from the front porch were amazing. Short drive to several wineries and Charlottesville.

Very nice cabin up the mountain. Windy gravel road to get there but very quiet and peaceful. Only recommend better water pressure and a mirror other than the bathroom.

The cabin is clean, cute, and very well put together. I did have a couple of wild things visit the first night, but the tools provided helped resolve that (one was returned to the wild). The sunsets were gorgeous and the mornings were spent with my cup of tea watching the sunlight wash over the trees. And the porch was everything. I watched the deer and squirrels and birds and chipmunks and listened to all the sounds of nature every morning and evening. Very peaceful. It was a good base camp for hiking in the Blue Ridge Parkway, antique shops, and country stores. Oh, and of course Carter Mountain Orchards - 1/2 peck of September Wonder (early Fuji apples!). Don't be afraid to get some mountain dust on your car on the way to and from the cabin...it's part of the charm.

We stayed for 5 nights to visit all the local wineries. Pros: great location for wineries, beautiful surroundings, cabin had lots of natural light and clean interior. Loved the gas fireplace. Cons: TV mounted too high. Upstairs bedroom loft was hard to stand up in, low head clearance, no storage or closets for clothing. Really could have used a full length mirror. Main living area needed a coffee table and/or ottoman. Some stains on white couch. Low water pressure in bathroom. Outside white furniture was too dirty to clean, so we could not sit outside. Dirty windows. I think the cabin is great for a short stay but not extended stay. We had a lot of fruit flies to deal with, but I guess it's that time of year.

The furniture was very comfortable and perfect for relaxing in cabin. Bed was comfortable. Pull down the shades and it was very dark and quiet. Perfect for sleeping. We completely enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again. One thing to be aware of is the amount of stairs..12 from the driveway to the porch, another 10 to the loft bedroom. The bathroom is downstairs in the main living area... Something to consider if you get up frequently in the night.

It was perfect. So peaceful. Other than an occasional car all you could hear were the birds and the leaves rustling in the breeze. The sunsets over the distant mountains were beautiful and the porch swing was awesome!

The cabin was spotless upon arrival! The bed up in the loft is very comfy. Itnwas so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the birds. Just a note, it is about 24 minutes any major restaurants or grocery stores. Our advice, get groceries on your way in. We woild definitely stay at this beautiful cabin again!

Great location to be able to stay in nature but not far from wineries and downtown. We went to southwest mountain winery less than 10 minute away and it was one of our favorites! Very clean and exactly as pictured!

I came here for a quick getaway to decompress and this place was a perfect remedy. The place was clean with the exception of the rug and carpet and the scenery was beautiful. The only cons I have were that the bathroom had an old mildew smell and with it being next to the kitchen we had to keep the door closed. Nothing some plug-ins couldn't fix. The other is that I would suggest having a darker area rug and carpet due to allowing pets.

We give this a 12 out of 10! Stonemont cabin is beautiful. Spacious and airy-meticulously clean. Kitchen stocked, bathroom roomy with a washer and dryer and the loft bedroom was lovely and cozy. The property was massive and full of wildlife to watch and listen. Less than 5 miles away were 4 wonderful vineyards to tour. The owners were super kind and ready to help at anytime. We can’t wait to go back again. Thank you for a fantastic home away from home.

The property was clean and comfortable. The gas fireplace made the environment cozy.However, the mattress is very hard, the legs on the chairs around the dining room table are loose, the front door was not locked when we arrived. We would stay again

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here! It’s a little hideaway which was perfect for us and our pups that we brought along. About 30 mins from anything in Charlottesville for going to breweries and wineries. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the quietness, seclusion, beautiful views, and amazing cottage! From booking to departure, things could not have been more seamless or easy. The cottage is comfortable, the front porch is perfect, and the yard is wonderful. I cannot recommend enough! Enjoy!!

We completely enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again. One thing to be aware of is the amount of stairs..12 from the driveway to the porch, another 10 to the loft bedroom. The bathroom is downstairs in the main living area... Something to consider if you get up frequently in the night.

We give this a 12 out of 10! Stonemont cabin is beautiful. Spacious and airy-meticulously clean. Kitchen stocked, bathroom roomy with a washer and dryer and the loft bedroom was lovely and cozy. The property was massive and full of wildlife to watch and listen. Less than 5 miles away were 4 wonderful vineyards to tour. The owners were super kind and ready to help at anytime. We can’t wait to go back again. Thank you for a fantastic home away from home.

The cabin was spotless upon arrival! The bed up in the loft is very comfy. Itnwas so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the birds. Just a note, it is about 24 minutes any major restaurants or grocery stores. Our advice, get groceries on your way in. We woild definitely stay at this beautiful cabin again!

We had a great time at the Stonemont cabin! Perfect for the two of us and our dog. Views from the front porch were amazing. Short drive to several wineries and Charlottesville.

Very nice cabin up the mountain. Windy gravel road to get there but very quiet and peaceful. Only recommend better water pressure and a mirror other than the bathroom.

The cabin was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. A bit off the beaten path, but not too far out. Plenty of space for the two of us. The furniture was very comfortable and perfect for relaxing in cabin. Bed was comfortable. Pull down the shades and it was very dark and quiet. Perfect for sleeping. Enjoyed the proximity to Charlottesville, the nearby vineyards, the quiet times at the cabin, watching the deer in the fields in front of the home. Steps to the entrance and to the loft may be challenging for those with limited mobility. Overall, a great place to stay!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here! It’s a little hideaway which was perfect for us and our pups that we brought along. About 30 mins from anything in Charlottesville for going to breweries and wineries. Definitely recommend!

Great location to be able to stay in nature but not far from wineries and downtown. We went to southwest mountain winery less than 10 minute away and it was one of our favorites! Very clean and exactly as pictured!

Great cottage for the two of us and our dog for a long weekend for a friend’s wedding in Charlottesville. Good location to visit some of the local vineyards. Super quiet, clean, comfy bed, and relaxing spot to rest your head after daytime adventures. Will definitely rent again

The cabin and host were absolutely perfect- excellent communication, clear expectations, spotless conditions and comfortable. We watched movies, cooked, hot tubbed and swung on the porch swing. So many good wineries and close to c-ville, this will likely turn into an annual getaway!

The cabin was clean, cozy and quiet. It has a large loft with a very firm, comfortable queen bed. The linens were clean and fresh. The area is peaceful with great views of the surrounding area. The only neighbors we saw were a family of deer. We only used the hot tub on the first evening because we had snow and freezing rain the other nights of our stay but it was so relaxing and we wished the weather had cooperated so we could have used it more. There is a walking trail that, although, isn't very long will still provide a good cardio workout. The cabin is close to several excellent vineyards and the town of Gordonsville in case you need to pick up anything you might have forgotten to pack. Communication with the host was excellent and check-in was very easy. Stonemont Farm Cabin was a great place to stay.
