Lovely, 5 star accommodation

1) Our first impression was not good as when we tried to get into the front door we were immediately swarmed by gnats and flies. This is a lake house so some insects is expected but this was on another level. We literally had to rush through the front door to avoid them. There were a ton of spiders in the house as well. We went and bought bug spray and traps which helped immediately. The owner would do well to invest in pest control. 2) The AC was horrible! It was very hot the first day and no matter what we tried the AC would not go below 72. When it’s 95 + outside with a house that clearly has not been properly sealed in some time, it was very uncomfortable for everyone in the house. The owner blew us off and got frustrated with me when I pushed back about it being so hot in the house and tried to convince me to find another place. During 4th of July week. With my entire family with me. Really bad customer service! It cooled down somewhat but they had it programmed to 72 in the mornings so we were all uncomfortable every morning and early afternoon. It’s TX what are they thinking? 3) The master bath does not have a door. I repeat it does not have a door so no privacy. Not sure what the thinking was there but who doesn’t want privacy using the bathroom, especially in the morning? Also, the master toilet was not properly seated so it would wobble when you sat on it. 4) the bbq grill ignition did not ignite and was absolutely filthy 5) nails sticking out on the stairs

Location was nice. Place was very short on kitchen accessories, was outdated and had lots of bugs

Perfect for visiting family. Wish weather was better to enjoy beautiful views outside. Great place to relax and enjoy without going anywhere else.
