Lovely historical home with modern conveniences located right in the center of Hudson. I could even hear the clock tower chiming! We loved the fireplace which gave the place a wonderfully cozy feel during the snow storm. Our considerate host cleared the snow from driveway and walks!

This is a gorgeous historic home full of amenities! Check in was easy, the house was spotless, and the garden is top notch. The hosts provide thoughtful little touches like a small bag of pre ground coffee and some common condiments/spices for you to use. If I go to Hudson again I am definitely staying here.

Such a cute property and very charming house! My kids mentioned they wanted to live there permanently. There were games in the cabinets and it’s walking distance from downtown Hudson. It was a relaxing retreat that was still in town. You can’t ask for more.

We stayed here while visiting Cayahoga National Park. The property was a short walk to Hudson dining and grocery store and an easy drive to the park for hiking and biking. There is a good selection of games and the TV was easy to use with our own Netflix and Disney+ accounts.

We highly recommend this VRBO property! As an extended family group of five adults, we found the 3-bedrooms spacious and comfortable and the the common areas roomy yet cozy, with a working fireplace, well-appointed kitchen, and two dining areas. This historic home has been lovingly renovated in a way that respects its many unique antique details while proving important modern comforts. All appliances were high-quality, as were kitchen and bathroom sinks and showers, beds and bedding, towels, pots, pans, and dishes. We were mere steps from the part of N Main St., Hudson, with charming shops and plenty of excellent restaurants. Our hosts were easy to reach and provided plenty of useful tips. We'll definitely return, the next time we need full-house accommodations in this lovely town.

This home has been lovingly restored. The home has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. There is plenty of space to relax in the kitchen and living room and there is a screened porch overlooking a beautiful flower garden. The home is within walking distance of downtown Hudson with restaurants and shopping. You are also close to both Cleveland and Canton. I will definitely stay here again.

The house was amazing! Everything was just as advertised. Clean, comfortable, and so interesting. The love with which this house was restored was evident in every detail. Just lovely. The kitchen was great, large and airy, and very well stocked for those who like to cook and eat in. Ate lunch outside on the back patio, enjoying the beautiful perennial garden. It’s about a ten-minute walk to reach commercial part of Main Street where we enjoyed dinner at several excellent restaurants. Driving proximity to CVNP a definite plus… the hiking there is spectacular.

The renovated historic house is nestled between lovely gardens, front and back, and is a few minutes’ walk to good coffee (we brought back our coffee and sat on the patio overlooking little garden in the morning). The property is close to a great little grocery store (again, a few minutes’ walk), and the rest that downtown has to offer (quite a variety of restaurants for a small town). The kitchen is spacious and open and good for hanging out, as is the living/dining room. The property was perfect for our needs — and we really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay at this adorable historic home. In town for a wedding but had some time to explore too. Hudson is so cute! Great lunch at Farmer’s Rail and REALLY great dinner at Downtown 140; highly recommend. So nice to come ‘home’ to this charming house too … had all the comforts of home. We esp loved the sunny screened-in porch for coffee each morning 💙

This is the most beautiful home. It had lots of character, was very clean and well stocked and the owner was very nice. We came for 3 days to explore the area and were not disappointed. The proximity to shops and restaurants cannot be beat. We would stay here again in the future.

This was my second stay in this house, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. The house is charming and comfortable, and always very clean. The owner, Stuart, is very helpful and friendly. I love being able to walk to a coffee shop and restaurants, while also having a short drive to Cuyahoga Valley National Park for hiking and sightseeing. I plan to come back again in the future!

The house was quaint and the host was very good. There were a couple of items that could have been cleaned better but nothing that would stop me from staying again. The upstairs rooms are hot in the summer.

The owners of this house clearly this wonderful, historic property steps from First & Main. Before we arrived, the owner sent a welcome text offering us early check in. The house is immaculately maintained. The owners even leave a helpful manual for anything you need to know about their home. A bonus feature is the small but mighty bluetooth sound system. We had a fantastic stay at the Wayside House and hope to be back soon.

The stay was good. The only problems I saw were the pillows were way to soft. The beds too small. No wash cloths in the house. You had an HDMI Cord available but I couldn’t use it because I couldn’t change the input on the very small TV. Traffic was very loud for some of my family members. We all loved the house and the location. So much stuff was within walking distance. I loved all of the old furniture in the house. It was awesome. It was a very nice home. Only a few things I would change.

This property was the perfect home for my family to gather and enjoy a weekend with my elderly parents who both live in senior housing (Hudson & Aurora) . The house itself is historic but in no way outdated. So fun to learn its history and imagine life in Hudson in the 1800’s. Location is ideal- we walked downtown Hudson and the neighborhood every day. What a gorgeous town! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in this lovely home, the alternative of staying in a hotel would have been a very different weekend.

My friends and I stayed at the home for a high school reunion weekend. It could not have worked better! The location was ideal - close to town, close to the Reserve campus, walking distance to virtually every town amenity. The historic home was well appointed, extremely comfortable and easy to enjoy. Would highly recommend!

Super convenient location to all of downtown Hudson. Pretty much just walked everywhere. House had everything we needed and the host was super responsive. Only minor downside is all the traffic going by but from inside the house it was still pretty quiet.

I booked The Wayside as a respite from the remodeling taking place at our own Hudson home and our stay was perfect in every way. The house is beautiful! We found it to be very clean and appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils…including basic condiments, etc.. I watch my 18 mos. old granddaughter during the day and the layout was perfect for her to toddle around safely, and watch the traffic on Main Street from the kitchen windows. She received a LOT of attention from passersby, so future renter’s should be ready and willing to wave! Lol The Wayside’s location really is perfect! Mere steps from grabbing a freshly brewed cupa joe at the local coffee shop before perusing the local shops, then grab lunch or dinner…no driving necessary! The local grocery store is also within walking distance. Stuart has been incredibly communicative and wonderful to work with. I couldn’t have asked for a better host.

The best thing (among many, many pluses) is the location of this property. Hudson is a wonderful place to be during the holiday season and the proximity to the shops is incredible. Both the owner and the property manager were attentive to our needs as well. Old houses have many creaks and quirks—this one does as well, so it would be unfair to compare it to a modern house or hotel. That said, we found this gem of a place exceeded our expectations.

The owners of this house clearly this wonderful, historic property steps from First & Main. Before we arrived, the owner sent a welcome text offering us early check in. The house is immaculately maintained. The owners even leave a helpful manual for anything you need to know about their home. A bonus feature is the small but mighty bluetooth sound system. We had a fantastic stay at the Wayside House and hope to be back soon.

Great location to get to the national park and great to be able to walk to a coffee shop or restaurant for dinner. Stuart was easy to communicate with and gave some good recommendation for our stay.

This was my second stay in this house, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. The house is charming and comfortable, and always very clean. The owner, Stuart, is very helpful and friendly. I love being able to walk to a coffee shop and restaurants, while also having a short drive to Cuyahoga Valley National Park for hiking and sightseeing. I plan to come back again in the future!

This property was the perfect home for my family to gather and enjoy a weekend with my elderly parents who both live in senior housing (Hudson & Aurora) . The house itself is historic but in no way outdated. So fun to learn its history and imagine life in Hudson in the 1800’s. Location is ideal- we walked downtown Hudson and the neighborhood every day. What a gorgeous town! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in this lovely home, the alternative of staying in a hotel would have been a very different weekend.

Everything was just as advertised! Very comfortable stay and the hosts have been so thoughtful including instructions and recommendations. Hudson is so cute and very walkable from the Wayside! CVNP was a short and convenient drive from the property. Would definitely stay here again!

The renovated historic house is nestled between lovely gardens, front and back, and is a few minutes’ walk to good coffee (we brought back our coffee and sat on the patio overlooking little garden in the morning). The property is close to a great little grocery store (again, a few minutes’ walk), and the rest that downtown has to offer (quite a variety of restaurants for a small town). The kitchen is spacious and open and good for hanging out, as is the living/dining room. The property was perfect for our needs — and we really enjoyed our stay.

This is a gorgeous historic home full of amenities! Check in was easy, the house was spotless, and the garden is top notch. The hosts provide thoughtful little touches like a small bag of pre ground coffee and some common condiments/spices for you to use. If I go to Hudson again I am definitely staying here.

We loved the charm of this beautiful historic home. It had all the modern amenities we needed to make our stay comfortable. I loved all of the information about the home and the town that the host provided for us. The house is walking distance to great restaurants, Heinen"s grocery, and plenty of shops and services. Cuyahoga Valley National park is well worth the visit, even in the rain. If the weather would\'ve cooperated we could\'ve enjoyed the lovely patio and back yard. The sunroom was a nice alternative though! Stuart was a great host and the care taker was just as kind! Our families would recommend this this home! restaurants

We highly recommend this VRBO property! As an extended family group of five adults, we found the 3-bedrooms spacious and comfortable and the the common areas roomy yet cozy, with a working fireplace, well-appointed kitchen, and two dining areas. This historic home has been lovingly renovated in a way that respects its many unique antique details while proving important modern comforts. All appliances were high-quality, as were kitchen and bathroom sinks and showers, beds and bedding, towels, pots, pans, and dishes. We were mere steps from the part of N Main St., Hudson, with charming shops and plenty of excellent restaurants. Our hosts were easy to reach and provided plenty of useful tips. We'll definitely return, the next time we need full-house accommodations in this lovely town.

The house was amazing! Everything was just as advertised. Clean, comfortable, and so interesting. The love with which this house was restored was evident in every detail. Just lovely. The kitchen was great, large and airy, and very well stocked for those who like to cook and eat in. Ate lunch outside on the back patio, enjoying the beautiful perennial garden. It’s about a ten-minute walk to reach commercial part of Main Street where we enjoyed dinner at several excellent restaurants. Driving proximity to CVNP a definite plus… the hiking there is spectacular.

The wayside had everything our family could need - kids cups, a pack n play, games, comfy beds, recommendations, plenty of space and lots of kitchen items. It was a very convenient location for us to Cuyahoga National park. The location within walking distance of the grocery, restaurants, and shops was wonderful!

We had a great stay at this adorable historic home. In town for a wedding but had some time to explore too. Hudson is so cute! Great lunch at Farmer’s Rail and REALLY great dinner at Downtown 140; highly recommend. So nice to come ‘home’ to this charming house too … had all the comforts of home. We esp loved the sunny screened-in porch for coffee each morning 💙

Our weekend stay at the historical Wayside home in Hudson was lovely. The home and its surroundings were clean, well organized and within walking distance to the local shops. I really appreciated how Stuart communicated throughout our visit. I highly recommend this home!
