This was our 3rd visit and did not disappoint again. Cabin is comfortable and clean. The property is gorgeous. Love the little jaunt through the woods to the lake. Fishing is fabulous with catfish bass and crappies. We used the kayaks and canoe. Took a lovely nature hike. The hosts are wonderful and accommodating. We will be back for a 4th visit.

My girlfriend and I wanted to get away from the city for a weekend and found this place. It was perfect, will definitely book again in the future. Everything was very clean. The hot tub was nice, the lake was awesome. Overall it was a nice and quite stay, just what we were looking for.

This cabin was amazing! Everything was so clean and the scent diffusers added so much to the experience! I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while taking Talimena Drive. If you're looking for a staycation destination, this is it! There's enough room for a group to spread out and do your own thing. We tried out the hot tub and it was amazing! We didn't have enough time this trip to start a fire in the fire pit, but will definitely do so next time, along with taking a trip down the road to the gorgeous lake. Mary was very accommodating with any needs we had, and let us stay a little over check-out time when our laundry wasn't dried completely, even though she didn't have to. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a place to stay near Mena!

We loved our stay in this lovely peaceful home! We loved the seclusion and the distant sounds of the trains. We enjoyed the hot tub and the trips to the pond so we could canoe and go fishing. Best vacation we've had. The cabin was lovely and the private lake was amazing. Grandchild and fur babies loved jumping off the dock and would swim all day.

Our family of 4 stayed at Sunset Cabin over Spring Break and it was simply perfect. The property was quiet, secluded, and peaceful. We enjoyed walking to the lake each day and were pleasantly surprised to catch several bass. On the last day, it rained all day, but we sat on the beautiful back porch, enjoyed a campfire, and played games. This property is clean, well-appointed, comfortable, and spacious. We definitely will be booking another trip!

My family spent Thanksgiving here. The cabin was clean, had comfortable beds! And All the supplies you would need. Mary was available with quick responses to anything we asked. Hot tub super clean. Having a Fire pit and grill was great too! We Loved that the cabin had cable. And the pond was super close with easy access. Just a beautiful place!

This place was perfect for our family vacation! The house was cozy and inviting. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch with a fire every evening. The lake was perfect for kayaking and fishing. We would definitely stay here again!

Living in East Texas, I get sick of summer after 6 months, so we were hoping a stay in November would bring cool weather along with some changing leaf coloring. We weren’t disappointed. The cabin and grounds are a perfect getaway and it’s well taken care of. Mary is precise with the cabin instructions and it is well stocked with everything you need (besides food, and there is even some flour, sugar, spices, etc). The hot tub and fire pit on the deck was very relaxing. It was a very worthwhile trip and I hope we will be back soon.

Where to even begin. The lake and surrounding wilderness were just amazing. The cabin was absolutely immaculate with every comfort of home you would ever need. The owners were extremely nice and answered any and all questions we had. And as an added bonus, fabulous weather for January! It was a very refreshing experience from what Beaver’s Bend has turned into over the years with the crowds and outrageous prices. Without a doubt, Cornerstone will be our go-to spot from now on when we need a relaxing getaway. Thank you so much Mary. It was simply perfect!

Gorgeous cabin and location. We loved driving around the trails in our ATV and throughly enjoyed the peace and quite. The cabin was fully equiped and very clean! Very nice size lake that we enjoyed wetting a hook in. Not far from Mena at all to get a bite and explore other trail riding areas. Would definitely reccomend and will be returning!

We were looking for a place to spend our anniversary where we could enjoy nature and catch a few fish. The Cornerstone Mountain Retreat gave us exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was very nice, clean and comfortable. It came equipped with everything you may need on your stay. We chose to sleep in the loft just because it had a treehouse kind of feel. We had a great time at the lake. It is absolutely picturesque. We took the kayaks for a beautiful lake stroll. We caught lots of bass. We even kept a few the last day and baked them in the oven. Delicious!!! The property itself is very pretty. It is a nice short walk from the cabin to the lake. The lake is gorgeous. We saw some deer and other assorted forest creatures during our stay which was nice. The property owners were very accommodating and responded to our questions promptly. For anyone looking for a private lake experience, this is the place.

Or while family loved this property. My nephew wanted a cabin in the woods experience and we were not disappointed. My other nephew gets bored easily so this property also had lots of activities to keep the teens entertained. Kayaking, canoeing, and fishing (catch and release) and some hiking trails. We also were able to bring a 4 wheeler and rented an ATV from a local company that picked up and dropped off at the cabin. There are lots of local atv trails we could easily access and enjoy not too far from the property.My family lives in Dallas and it was only a 4 hour drive. We would live to come back to this beautiful property that slept 4 adults and 2 teens comfortably.

The cabin and grounds are a perfect getaway and it’s well taken care of. Mary is precise with the cabin instructions and it is well stocked with everything you need (besides food, and there is even some flour, sugar, spices, etc). The hot tub and fire pit on the deck was very relaxing. It was a very worthwhile trip and I hope we will be back soon.
Living in East Texas, I get sick of summer after 6 months, so we were hoping a stay in November would bring cool weather along with some changing leaf coloring. We weren’t disappointed. The cabin and grounds are a perfect getaway and it’s well taken care of. We had the best time! The property is very secluded and quiet. We enjoyed the lake- fishing & kayaking. Mary was super at communicating and we had everything we needed. FYI I also want to share some information with any one who stays at this property with your fur babies that if you need a veterinarian like we did Pleasant Hill Animal Clinic in Mena is amazing! We recommend this property to anyone who wants a private vacation cause this is for you! Hospitality for the WIN thanks again Mary!!

Great place to relax. Loved seeing the deer all day. The lake is very nice My dog loved going down there and swimming every day. The sky is full of stars at night. Maty was a great host. Definitely recommend.

Our stay was very relaxing! It was so nice to get away from the city and in the middle of nature in such a sweet cabin. The owner Mary was very nice and accommodating!

Communication with Mary was great and she was super accommodating with any questions prior to booking. Check in was great and cabin was beautiful and great to relax in. Kids had a blast swimming, kayaking at the fishing at the lake. Great Lake to teach fishing on as we did plenty of catch and release. Great time spent unplugged from electronics and reconnecting with family. The negative I would say would be trying to enjoy the lake with someone mowing around it and us and then later in the evening the crew weed eating around the cabin while we were there. Was a bit distracting having a few people and vehicles in and out around the cabin while we were there without any notice or heads up..

My family spent Thanksgiving here. The cabin was clean, had comfortable beds! And All the supplies you would need. Mary was available with quick responses to anything we asked. Hot tub super clean. Having a Fire pit and grill was great too! We Loved that the cabin had cable. And the pond was super close with easy access. Just a beautiful place!

We loved our stay in this lovely peaceful home! We loved the seclusion and the distant sounds of the trains. We enjoyed the hot tub and the trips to the pond so we could canoe and go fishing. If you live in DFW this is about the shortest drive you can make to get into some Arkansas woods. A tiny 4.5 hour drive from FW and we were eyeball deep in harmonizing crickets and sweet summer hay. Drive for a 45 minutes to an hour and you can be in several different state parks amd trail area. It's an awesome home base as it is off the highway enough to provide privacy, but close enough to pop on in for a quick drive. We usually travel to Arkansas in the winter so I was not prepared for the vibrant and terrifying insect life. I'm sure it's a sign of a healthy ecosystem, but as a horror film fan, I take issue. 😆 Anyway, those walking sticks are otherwordly.

Our family of 4 stayed at Sunset Cabin over Spring Break and it was simply perfect. The property was quiet, secluded, and peaceful. We enjoyed walking to the lake each day and were pleasantly surprised to catch several bass. On the last day, it rained all day, but we sat on the beautiful back porch, enjoyed a campfire, and played games. This property is clean, well-appointed, comfortable, and spacious. We definitely will be booking another trip!

Gorgeous cabin and location. We loved driving around the trails in our ATV and throughly enjoyed the peace and quite. The cabin was fully equiped and very clean! Very nice size lake that we enjoyed wetting a hook in. Not far from Mena at all to get a bite and explore other trail riding areas. Would definitely reccomend and will be returning!

We were looking for a place to spend our anniversary where we could enjoy nature and catch a few fish. The Cornerstone Mountain Retreat gave us exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was very nice, clean and comfortable. It came equipped with everything you may need on your stay. We chose to sleep in the loft just because it had a treehouse kind of feel. We had a great time at the lake. It is absolutely picturesque. We took the kayaks for a beautiful lake stroll. We caught lots of bass. We even kept a few the last day and baked them in the oven. Delicious!!! The property itself is very pretty. It is a nice short walk from the cabin to the lake. The lake is gorgeous. We saw some deer and other assorted forest creatures during our stay which was nice. The property owners were very accommodating and responded to our questions promptly. For anyone looking for a private lake experience, this is the place.

This was our second time staying and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. Mary was very helpful and responsive. The property had everything we needed and more! It did rain quite a bit on our trip, but we made the most out of it and spent as much time at the private lake as we could. Our two labradors did not want to leave the lake, they were in heaven!

The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. A nice quiet and relaxing stay in nature. The jacuzzi was so nice after a day of hiking. The hosts are very responsive and their farm was a highlight. Will definitely be back

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Cornerstone Mountain Retreat!! The house was cozy and relaxing. The beds were a lil uncomfortable but we made the best of it. We enjoyed walking down to the lake with our fur babies. I loved the serenity of the property (the train was a tad annoying at times:) but definitely was not a deal breaker!! Mary was very sweet and answered all my questions in a timely manner. We would recommend this home for your next stay in Hatfield/Mena Arkansas!!!
