La Casita: Modern Saugerties Getaway

This house is modern and gorgeous. We had everything we needed, and the beds were super comfortable. Close to great restaurants and trails … definitely returning!

We loved our stay at La Casita! Three friends getting away for the weekend. Kitchen has everything for cooking, and indoor spaces were comfortable and beautifully designed. We went in the fall - the leaves were at their peak, but we did not use any of the outdoor space due to the season. Would definitely stay again.

The house is in a great location and worked well for my family of 3 plus our dog. The beds and linens were very comfortable. However, I thought there was room for improvement. The home was not well inspected prior to our arrival and there were some maintenance issues.. The biggest problem was that the lock on the back sliding door was broken and could not be locked. I spent a lot of my personal time trying to get someone to fix it and figuring out a way to secure the door in the interim. There were other issues as well such as the stair rail being loose and shaky. The driveway is very difficult to pull out of and would be challenging for more than one car. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but thought there was room for improvement.

We enjoyed the house and it was very much what we were expecting. Just one issue, and two comments. There were a lot of ants in the house, large black ones, perhaps a spraying is in order. The outside was a little untidy, it need to be weeded in the front and in the back, especially by the firepit. The bushes by the entry and side of the driveway need to be trimmed back. Parking was very tricky with three suvs.

The house was perfect and close to the show, so we enjoyed it tremendously. Thank you.
