We stayed here for the weekend of our wedding and were blown away by the property. It was spacious enough to get ready in the morning with my bridesmaids in the downstairs game room as well as host my close family in the rooms above. The backyard has a great social fire pit and we would’ve loved to use it if we had more time! The beds were comfortable, the road was quiet, and the decor was beautiful coastal cottage vibe. Not to mention, everything was either walking or golf cart distance away, making our wedding at the community center a breeze with transportation! Would 100% stay again! Also the hosts were very attentive with lots of communication and very understanding.

One of our favorite places to visit, we had a terrific time in Southport. The property we rented was the perfect location and provided us with all the comfort and amenities we needed to enjoy our stay. We were extremely excited about the fenced in backyard as we had our puppy with us. In fact, the yard was a major reason why we rented this property. Sadly, I suppose a wind storm had passed through recently and as a result, there were lots of limbs and other debris in the yard. We really weren’t able to let our little guy play out there amongst all of it. Otherwise, we had an enjoyable time.

We enjoyed our stay. I had never been to Southport before so I was not familiar with the proximity to town. Yes, the property is walkable, but it's not right in town. You have to walk for a bit on the highway with no sidewalks. And there is no public water access super close to the property. But you can tell the house had been updated and it felt very clean and well-stocked. The game room was fun and the beds were comfortable. I recommend staying, just know that you will be walking a bit.

Great location close to shops in Southport and very short drive to Bald Head Island ferry. Very clean property with fully fenced back yard. Property owners very accessible for any questions. Hope to stay again.

I’ll start of by saying the pictures don’t do this place justice. All 10 adults in our party were truly pleased with every aspect of our stay. When you walk in, there is an awesome basement with ample room. There is a big couch,tv, two cots and plenty of other seating. The ping pong and football were a nice touch as well. The cots could have been a little more comfy but just having the extra sleeping arrangements was super nice. All 4 beds upstairs were very comfortable. The master bedroom had its own bathroom and a cute porch overlooking the backyard. The kitchen and living room area were more spacious than the photos looked. All 10 of us cooked and ate without feeling cramped. We spent the majority of the time on the long front porch. Super pretty. It was also very cute, modern and updated decorations. The main bathroom was so pretty! Even the ceiling was pretty! If you have a party of 10 or less and plan on staying at this house for meals and games, I’d highly recommend!

House was great, plenty of space for our crew and easy walking distance to historic downtown. Everything was as expected from the listing. Our only feedback is that the lawn was overgrown and very buggy. This made it difficult to enjoy the outdoor spaces.

This property was perfect for a family of 9 (3 couples and 3 young kids). Very clean, well equipped home. The play room was great for kids and parents. Close proximity to the downtown area and restaurants. The decorated Christmas tree was a nice surprise! The welcome package and area information also well received. Great host!

Could not have wanted more with this house! Location is minutes to great restaurants, ferries, waterfront and beach. House had everything we wanted and we loved sitting on the front porch with coffee each morning. Communication with owners was excellent and they even left us a considerate welcome basket. Everything was so easy we had no trouble just relaxing.

The property is in a phenomenal location. I did have to ask for check in instructions day of arriving. When we arrived, I was really dissapointed in the cleanliness. There was a thick film of dust on all the ceiling fans, dishes in the dishwasher, the inside of the fridge needed a good deep scrub, and my parents found socks under their bed. On the day of checkout, there were not any hampers to place the laundry in as instructed. However the beds were comfortable and the conscience to town was wonderful! The backyard was spacious and we loved the screened in porches. With the exception of the cleanliness, this was overall a decent stay.

This is definitely a “pet friendly” rental. We did not have any pets with us on this trip. The location and communication with the host was good. The unit could have been cleaner but I addressed this with the host and they were receptive and assured the feedback will be conveyed to the cleaning crew.

Our family had a fabulous kick off to the Christmas holiday during our thanksgiving stay in this home. It’s about a half a mile to downtown and an easy walk. The house has a huge backyard and was nicely decorated and very clean. Southport has a breathtaking charm to it that warms your heart. It was a perfect holiday. charm

What a great place in Southport! House was great! Loved the ‘wonky fun flooring’ System😉 Location was walkable to downtown area, spring areas worked great for us, had multiple family members gathering for destination wedding. Beds were nice, lovely decor… had everything we needed! Would absolutely stay here again!

We loved our stay! Four ladies, age 50 to 65… Great location. We walked into town every day! Room for all of us to spread out! Definitely loved having coffee on the balcony! Can’t wait to come back again!!

Our family and the bridesmaids stayed for the wedding weekend and the house was perfect! The location couldn't have been better since it was 1/2 mile away from the venue. The basement area was perfect for our grandson to play and also was a great space for hair and makeup to be done. The house's light beach decor was perfect for the "getting ready" pictures which turned out great! The bedrooms seemed tucked away from the main areas of the house which was great for those napping during the day. TVs & ceiling fans in every bedroom, good water pressure, great A/C and lots of parking area are a few good things to point out. Three full bathrooms is also a major plus when having 10 people in the house. We rented a golf cart and it was fun to ride it around town. We slept in the king master and the bed slept well. I was totally satisfied with this choice for our wedding weekend. I would most definitely rent it again when in the area. One thing to point out for anyone having problems with steps is that the main level is upstairs and the master has steps down to it. It was not a problem for us at all but when thinking of my mom with knee problems, it could have been an issue for her.

Nice location and stocked well with essentials. Disappointed with access to tv options…couldn’t watch any local channels and limited with access through the rental. Sloping floors added a little fun to the experience. Overall, nice place if you want close to downtown southport.

Could not have wanted more with this house! Location is minutes to great restaurants, ferries, waterfront and beach. House had everything we wanted and we loved sitting on the front porch with coffee each morning. Communication with owners was excellent and they even left us a considerate welcome basket. Everything was so easy we had no trouble just relaxing.

Great location close to shops in Southport and very short drive to Bald Head Island ferry. Very clean property with fully fenced back yard. Property owners very accessible for any questions. Hope to stay again.

The property is in a phenomenal location. I did have to ask for check in instructions day of arriving. When we arrived, I was really dissapointed in the cleanliness. There was a thick film of dust on all the ceiling fans, dishes in the dishwasher, the inside of the fridge needed a good deep scrub, and my parents found socks under their bed. On the day of checkout, there were not any hampers to place the laundry in as instructed. However the beds were comfortable and the conscience to town was wonderful! The backyard was spacious and we loved the screened in porches. With the exception of the cleanliness, this was overall a decent stay.

This is definitely a “pet friendly” rental. We did not have any pets with us on this trip. The location and communication with the host was good. The unit could have been cleaner but I addressed this with the host and they were receptive and assured the feedback will be conveyed to the cleaning crew.

We stayed here for the weekend of our wedding and were blown away by the property. It was spacious enough to get ready in the morning with my bridesmaids in the downstairs game room as well as host my close family in the rooms above. The backyard has a great social fire pit and we would’ve loved to use it if we had more time! The beds were comfortable, the road was quiet, and the decor was beautiful coastal cottage vibe. We enjoyed our stay. I had never been to Southport before so I was not familiar with the proximity to town. Yes, the property is walkable, but it's not right in town. You have to walk for a bit on the highway with no sidewalks. And there is no public water access super close to the property. But you can tell the house had been updated and it felt very clean and well-stocked. The game room was fun and the beds were comfortable. I recommend staying, just know that you will be walking a bit.

We loved our stay! Four ladies, age 50 to 65… Great location. We walked into town every day! Room for all of us to spread out! Definitely loved having coffee on the balcony! Can’t wait to come back again!!

Perfect house for a girls weekend or family trip to Southport. So much to do nearby, you’ll definitely stay busy! Very spacious home. We didn’t take advantage of the back yard or the fire pit but it’s definitely a nice feature! Things are walkable during the day (10-20 min walk), but at night there’s no sidewalks or street lights. Would definitely stay here again!

Our family had a fabulous kick off to the Christmas holiday during our thanksgiving stay in this home. It’s about a half a mile to downtown and an easy walk. The house has a huge backyard and was nicely decorated and very clean. Southport has a breathtaking charm to it that warms your heart. It was a perfect holiday. charm

This home looked exactly like the photos—beautiful, unique, and fun. Unfortunately, several issues made our stay much less enjoyable than expected.The biggest surprise was the upstairs flooring. There is a noticeable slope that causes you to drift toward one side of the room while walking. This was not disclosed before booking. The only mention was a note inside the house. Whether it bothers someone or not, guests should know about unusual structural features before renting, especially when traveling with family.The second issue was the neighbor next door. We are respectful guests who clean up after ourselves and leave places in excellent condition. Despite that, we constantly felt watched. On three separate occasions, the neighbor made it obvious he was monitoring us. Instead of feeling relaxed on vacation, we felt uncomfortable and creeped out. Don’t go barefoot or your feet will be blackThe checkout requirements were also frustrating. There was a long list of tasks, yet some amenities were not functioning properly. The dishwasher did not work correctly, finding the bedding basket was not straightforward, and despite being a beach property, guests could not use the dryer and were told not to use the washer. We were then told we could not hang towels outside to dry due to local ordinances.The house is beautiful, but between the undisclosed floor slope, the neighbor's constant oversight, and the impractical restrictions, our family left feeling more stressed than relaxed.
