Turtle Cove Haven: Your Coastal Escape

Last minute trip to Sunset Beach area for a few days. We love the area and typically visit a couple times a year. Condo was beautifully decorated and had many amenities. Convenient to everything in the area and to the beach. Very good communication with owner! Would definitely stay here again!

I checked in to a condo property on and knew within hours, when I needed to walk my dog, that I could not lock the door from the outside. The dead bolt was battery operated and was malaligned with the doorframe. I tried multiple times and the deadbolt it the metal rectangle allowing me to push the door open. I walked the dog anyway and stayed close to home. Sunday morning, I got a text from the host saying he wanted to be a great host, not a good one. So that afternoon, I decided to text him. Afterall, I wanted to go to the beach or the pool or eat or all the things you do on vacation. He assured me that it was a "safe" area. This didn\'t reassure me as a brought a dog, my jewelry, my computer, other valuables. I even asked, hey, is there a key? He said "well I\'m 5 hours away" as if he were irritated. He finally said he would send the cleaning team with a key. Sure enough it was delivered within 10 minutes. I believe the host came over himself on Monday and looked at the lock. He agreed that weather stripping might be causing it to malalign. He said he\'d replace lock the next day. He did not. I continued with the key until thursday night when I came in from the beach, my Dog locked in, and could not get in. this was around 8:15. I called the host who again called the housekeeping staff. She and her boyfriend came immediately. Neither of them could use the key or their codes for the battery lock. After 9, yes I said 9 locksmiths were called, I got in at 10 pm
