PRIVATE BEACH: BEACHFRONTS & BALCONIES @ NIANTIC W/ 6 QUEENS

This house was comfortable and could easily accommodate a large party (we were only 4), though the living/dining space is very small in comparison to the very large bedrooms. We did not use the kitchen, but it looked nice. The beds were very comfortable, though others would want to bring additional blankets if renting in the winter as we did. The bathroom sinks and showers did not drain properly. The biggest pro for the house is its proximity to the beach—you’re practically in the waves, which is what we were looking for. The beach and ocean views were at the top of our list when we paid top dollar for this house. Unfortunately, the owners have intentionally left a major eyesore out of the promotional photos. A huge power plant dominates the view day and night. It belches smoke or steam into the air 24 hours a day and is lit up like a Christmas tree, shining into the house all night. This was our first trip to this area, and because it was not in the photos, we had no idea it was there. We would not have paid the price we paid for that view. I can’t imagine that other reviewers haven’t mentioned this, unless they are more familiar with the area and used to the oceanfront industries up and down that coastline. We wish the photos would have been more honest.

We enjoyed our stay. The beach was beautiful and the views from many areas of the home!We were hoping that we had access to a grill, but the space may not have allowed for it during winter weather. It would have also been nice if the fire place was working. Dining was challenging with the setup for us we were 11 and there were only 5-7 forks. We also like to dine in and we could not find dish towels to keep cleaning kitchen. A few more kitchen items would be useful !! The owner was great and super attentive. Plenty of linens and towels

I’ve stayed at this property for 3 summers in a row and every time it has been perfect. Lots of room, very clean and a perfect view!

Very nice home for a group and a spectacular view along with walking areas and activities. Would return again.
